California: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Big Bear Lake Community Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Big Bear Lake is a famous tourist site in Southern California with beautiful scenery. The altitude is over 7,000 feet. Streams of tourists come to visit all year long.

On Sunday morning, August 1, 2004, the weather was fine and the sky was clear with white clouds. Falun Gong practitioners from the Los Angeles area drove two hours to Big Bear Lake to participate in the community parade for the first time. Our contingent consisted of an exercise demonstration, Tang Dynasty Costume Dance Group and Waist Drum Group. At the front of the contingent was a banner reading, "Hello Big Bear," after that were banners reading "Falun Dafa," "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."

When our group passed by, people lining the street constantly waved and applauded, and said, "Very nice!" "Very Good!" Some people imitated the movements of exercise demonstration, and said at the same time, "Falun Dafa," "Falun Dafa!" People stretched out their hands and requested our truth clarification materials.

When we passed by the main stage, the broadcaster said, "China is a country with 5,000 years of culture and history. Falun Dafa has been spread around the world from China. Right now people are practicing Falun Dafa in over 60 countries... ."

We were all pleased to display the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa to the people of Big Bear Lake and scatter seeds of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" in this beautiful location.
