On July 23, Ying Shifeng and Chen Zhanshan were working at the Wafangdian City Railroad Section when police officers forcibly placed them under arrest and swiftly transferred them to an undisclosed location. Liu Yi, secretary of the Party Disciplinary Commission of the Dalian City Railroad Section, and Ma, head of the Wafangdian Railroad Police Station, led the officers to carry out the arrests.

Shenyang City Falun Dafa practitioners Wang Hong and Zhao Zhong served forced labor terms at the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City from 2001 to 2002. They were brainwashed in the labor camp and helped persecute other detained Falun Dafa practitioners. After they were released from the labor camp, the two awoke to the Fa-rectification and started practicing Falun Dafa again. Recently Wang and Zhao have been respectively sentenced to four and five years in prison by the Dadong District Court in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province.

Ms. Ren Wanting retired early from Chongjiao Factory in Wanting City. The city's labor department suspended her retirement salary at the end of 2003 because of her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa. Not only have the authorities ignored her appeals, they have escalated the persecution against her.

On June 28, 2004, officers from the Wanting Economic Development Zone Branch Police Department in Ruili City, Yunnan Province coordinated with the Qinglong Police Department in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province to arrest Ms. Gui at her home. The officers also ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Dafa books. She is being held at the Ruili City Detention Center.

Linxia Falun Dafa practitioner Li Jiankui's daughter, Ms. Li Yongcan, was again arrested by the Linxia City Police. She is being detained at the Dongxiang Detention Center and suffers from the harsh conditions there. Also arrested at the same time with her was a family of four, the Lei family. The family is currently detained at a different location.

On the evening of July 19, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Xuan Jiquan was arrested and taken to the Hulan District Detention Center by officers from the Shiren Town Police Station in Hulan District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

Ms. Liu Guizhi is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. On the afternoon of April 3, 2004, she went out to raise local residents' awareness about the persecution against Falun Gong. Informants called the police. She was later secretly placed under arrest by officers from the Jinshui Police Department. Her family was not notified until a month and a half after she had been unlawfully sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. Ms. Liu is being held at the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City.

Ms. Wang Guifen was unlawfully arrested while raising public awareness about the persecution against Falun Gong on July 19, 2004. She was first taken to the Suizhong Detention Center. The next day, officials sent her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp without notifying her family.

Ms. Chai Guiying, in her fifties, Ms. Wang Sao, in her fifties, and Ms. Fu Xiurong, around 35 years old, are Falun Dafa practitioners at Fengshuigou Coal Mine in Pingju, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. One day in early July 2004, they and other practitioners went to Fengshuigou Town in Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Informants alerted the police, who subsequently arrested Ms. Chai and Ms. Wang on the street. The two practitioners' homes were ransacked, and they are both being held at the Pingzhuang Detention Center in Yuanbaoshan District.

In early May 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Shao Minggang and Ms. Li Fengjun from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province were arrested in Binzhou, Shandong Province. Officers from the Jinzhou State Security Bureau (telephone number: 86-416-3882365) carried out the arrests.
