(Clearwisdom.net) It has been five years since Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Dafa in July 1999. Many police officers in the prisons have brutally tortured Falun Dafa practitioners. Besides accumulating a great deal of bad karma, they have violated the laws of China and committed serious crimes. All practitioners should make the best use of the laws of society to file lawsuits against those police officers who have committed criminal acts in the persecution of Dafa.

On July 22, four of our local Dafa practitioners went to pay a visit to our family member, a fellow practitioner in prison. On our way to the Jilin Prison, we were very determined and well prepared. We sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions. We came to understand that the prison would be a battlefield between righteousness and evil. We reminded each other that we should not be afraid under any circumstances.

After we arrived at the prison, the officials refused to let us visit our family member. They said he was imprisoned in a special cell and therefore wasn't allowed to meet with his relatives. We went to the Education Department of the prison, but they said the same thing. We demanded a reasonable answer. Eventually, Liu Wei, the vice head of the prison, came out to talk to us. We strongly demanded to meet with our imprisoned family member. We asked, "Why can't we see him? Why have you imprisoned him in a special cell for the past three years?" He said, "He refused to acknowledge his guilt and to write the guarantee letters to renounce his belief in Falun Gong. Therefore, based on our regulations, we put him in the special cell." We said, "Who made the regulations? Show us the document. You must have some other regulations that you dare not publicize. To whom does your prison report? We are going to file a case against your inhumane persecution of our family member." Liu said, "We report to the Beijing Legislative Bureau. We report to Luo Gan. Go to Beijing to file a suit against us!" Then he found an excuse to leave quickly. We said loudly, "You told us to go to Beijing and talk to Luo Gan. Do you think we dare not do so?!"

We immediately went to the Jilin Legislative Bureau, the Jilin Politics and Law Committee, and the Jilin Procuratorate Bureau to report the facts that we discovered. The next day, we went to the Changchun City Prison Administrative Bureau, the Appeal Office, the Legislative Department, the Politics and Law Committee, and the local People's Congress to clarify the facts. In order to help people learn the persecution facts so they can better position themselves in relation to Dafa, we would ask them, "Could it be possible that the reason they didn't allow us to meet with our imprisoned relative was because our relative was tortured so badly that they were afraid we would file a lawsuit against them because of that?" Some people we talked to gave us contact information for other bureaus and departments. Some people got very angry that the police would abuse prisoners. They gave us suggestions on how to deal with this. One person in the Procurement Bureau said, "You should write a letter to report on Liu Wei for not allowing Falun Dafa practitioners to meet with their relatives. You can hand it in and refuse to leave until the problem is solved. You might be able to see your relative in this way." We wrote a letter to report that Liu Wei mistreated prisoners and incited officers to mistreat prisoners. We sent the letter to the Provincial Procurement Bureau. The Bureau accepted the case and started an investigation. One person said to himself, "It looks like it is time to deal with the issue of Falun Dafa practitioners being illegally imprisoned and mistreated."

We have achieved some results by trying to visit an imprisoned fellow practitioner as his relatives. Though we weren't allowed to meet with him, we had the opportunity to talk to so many governmental bureaus and departments. We exposed the evil's inhumane crimes everywhere we went and we helped more government officials learn more about how the prisons have been brutally mistreating and torturing Falun Dafa practitioners. We were able to clarify the truth and offer salvation to those people that we talked to. Some people had been deeply poisoned by the Jiang regime's lies. They wouldn't listen to us talk about the persecution of Falun Gong. They even tried to drive us away. Accordingly, we changed the way we talked to them. We presented the situations to them more in line with their mindset. We said, "Those officials said they would serve the Party and the people, but they are damaging the Party and the country. They are ruining the image of the Party and the country. People have started to doubt the Party because of them. As responsible citizens, we demand that our government punish those malicious police officers." We also described to them the officials' bad deeds and crimes. We achieved good results clarifying the facts in this way.

Here we'd like to suggest that other practitioners, if at all possible, write letters describing how those police officials have been inhumanely torturing Falun Dafa practitioners. We should clearly let them know that they are violating the Chinese Constitution. These kinds of letters are legal leaflets that we can send to various government departments. We believe this is a good way to clarify the truth and save the sentient beings.
