Account of the Torture Yang Hong and Her Fellow Practitioners Have Suffered in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Zhimeng and three other policemen waited the whole night and abducted Dafa practitioner Yang Hong from Huludao City, Liaoning Province as she was walking down the stairs from her home at 4:00 a.m. on April 2, 2004. The policemen also abducted her 24-year-old daughter and stole their possessions valued at about 26,000 Yuan. They sent Yang Hong to the detention center in Huludao City that same day. In protest, Yang Hong held a hunger strike for six days before she was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on April 8.

About ten steadfast Dafa practitioners were incarcerated on the first floor of a building in Masanjia. They all refused to yield to the evil, continually eliminating all interference, persisting in studying the , practicing the exercises, and sending forth righteous thoughts. Yang Hong was also detained on the first floor because she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!"

Pei Feng ordered former Falun Gong practitioners who had been brainwashed and renounced Dafa to strictly monitor these practitioners. The former practitioners were told to cover the detained practitioners' mouths with their hands or adhesive tape if they recited the Fa and to stop them if they practiced the exercises or sent forth righteous thoughts. Yang Hong refused to cooperate. Instead, she used every opportunity to clarify the truth with compassion to everyone she came across. As a result of the persecution, Yang Hong began to show symptoms of sickness. The Masanjia hospital reported after an examination that she had symptoms of lack of blood circulation to the heart, a rapid heart rate, declining kidney function, and problems in her abdomen. However, the policemen still tortured and force-fed her, completely ignoring her health condition. Cao Yujie, a healthcare worker, once added an unidentified drug into the food for force-feeding. When someone who was there asked what it was, Cao Yujie immediately stopped him in order to prevent Yang Hong from knowing about it, saying, "Do you have a problem?" Not long after that force-feeding, Yang Hong felt sharp abdominal pain and had severe diarrhea.

There was adhesive tape for covering the mouths of Dafa practitioners in every room on the first floor. Because practitioners on the first floor often shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good!" and sang the song, "Falun Dafa is Good," the policemen put the ten practitioners in solitary confinement rooms on April 26 for further persecution. Among these practitioners were: Su Yiwen (from Dalian), Hu Ying, Pan Jing (from Dandong; her feet oozed pus as a result of physical abuse), Huang Guifen (from Fuxin; she suffered muscle and tendon tears as a result of being handcuffed and hung up by her handcuffs, she could not walk for a long time; she was illegally detained only for saying "Falun Dafa is good"), Xia Ning (from Xincheng, Huludao City; she suffered brutal persecution many times, was very weak and thin, and bent at the waist; her hands were shackled, she was forced to stand for long periods every day, and her legs were badly swollen), Gao Shuxian (a doctor from a hospital in Shenyang City; it was said that she used to work in the Zongzheng Song-and-Dance Troupe; Ms. Gao held a hunger strike for over 20 days and was very weak). There was also Yang Hong, and other practitioners.

Those Dafa practitioners detained in the solitary confinement rooms were only given half a bun of coarse grain for each meal and a bit of pickle. They were only permitted to use the bathroom twice a day, at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. There was a small loudspeaker in each of the confinement rooms, broadcasting slanderous programs every day from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at deafening volumes.

Yang Hong's room was completely confined. There was a small window on the wall, but no light could be seen through it. The room needed a lamp even in the daytime. There was no air circulation at all. Yang Hong wore heavy clothes. Since she was handcuffed, she could not take them off. She requested that the policeman on duty and the administrative personnel unlock the handcuffs so that she could remove her extra clothing. The policemen and the other personnel, however, ignored her request. Yang Hong suffered force-feeding as a result of the hunger strike. There were three policemen participating in the force-feeding each time.

Policemen Wu Yanrong and Sun Shumin trampled on Yang Hong with leather shoes each time she was force-fed. The healthcare workers Chen Bin and Cao Yujie mainly put the feeding tube into one nostril, sometimes with intentional back-and-forth movements to make Yang Hong suffer even more. Ms. Yang was often tortured to the point where her nose and stomach were bleeding.

The brigade head, Li Mingyu, had former practitioners cover Yang Hong's mouth with adhesive tape and dirty rags used in toilets. Li Mingyu once asked Yang Hong whether she still recited the Fa. Yang Hong said, "How can a Dafa practitioner not study the Fa?" Li Mingyu therefore handcuffed Yang Hong onto the heat radiator and forced her to remain standing. In less than an hour's time, Yang Hong, who was very weak, felt dizzy and began to vomit. Her body was covered in sweat, her face turned blue, and her lips turned purple.

After two months of such inhuman torture, Yang Hong was persecuted to the point of being close to death and was sent back to Huludao Forced Labor Camp on June 8. She was permitted to go home due to her health condition while awaiting trial. When Yang Hong got home, her weight was only about 35 kilograms (about 77 pounds).

The Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is currently using these kinds of intensive methods to persecute Dafa practitioners.
