Authorities in Inner Mongolia Secretly Sentence Dafa Practitioner Mr. Ji Guomin to Nine Years in Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 5, 2004, the authorities in Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, illegally abducted Dafa practitioner Mr. Ji Guomin. They had a car accident and Mr. Ji sustained a head injury and lacerations to the scalp requiring a number of stitches in the hospital. The very next day after Mr. Ji's treatment, the authorities, led by Guo Xiaoguang, the head of the local "610 Office," and Gong Chuanxing, the director of the local National Security Brigade, imprisoned Mr. Ji in the Aohan Detention Center, disregarding his condition, and he has been detained ever since. To protest the illegal abduction, Mr. Ji has been holding hunger strikes.

Zhu Yaohua, the Associate Director of the Aohan Banner Police Department, who is also in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong in the region, specially dispatched three medical staff members from the Aohan Banner Hospital to form a so called "Therapy Team [In reality, a force-feeding team]," consisting of Dr. Yang Tianchong and two nurses, to force feed and persecute Mr. Ji. As a result of the forced feeding, Mr. Ji is now so wasted that he can hardly be recognized.

On August 14, Mr. Ji developed some unusual symptoms and continually passed blood in his stool. He was hospitalized on August 15. There he was persecuted by a group of people led by Wang Li, the deputy head of the detention center, and officer Zhu Zifeng. Two male and one female inmate were assigned to watch him, while two others were in charge of the forced feeding.

On August 17, the authorities secretly sentenced Mr. Ji to nine years in prison. The whole "due process," which was carried out in the hospital, consisted of merely reading out the written judgment to Mr. Ji.
