Falun Gong Practitioners' Group Fa Study and Experience Sharing Meeting in Central Taiwan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Gukeng National Elementary School in Yunlin County Hosts a Fa Study and
Experience Sharing Meeting On September 5, 2004, Central Taiwan Falun Gong Practitioners' Fa Study and
Experience Sharing Meeting was held at Gukeng National Elementary School in
Yunlin County. More than 200 Falun Gong practitioners from five counties and
cities gathered together to hold a one-day group Fa study and experience
sharing. The principal of Gukeng National Elementary School, Xu Chingxun, who
provided the meeting site, said he was glad to have so many people come to
Gukeng, where there are beautiful mountains and pure water, and people who live
simple and natural lives. The school authorities appreciated Falun Gong
practitioners' peaceful demeanor, and felt honored to hold such a meaningful
experience sharing. It also provided faculty members and practitioners from
different places with an opportunity to upgrade their character and encourage
each other to improve together.
People Should Know the Truth about Falun Gong During the morning group Fa study, practitioners studied Teacher Li
Hongzhi's new article "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the
World's People" published on September 1, 2004. Teacher expects Dafa
practitioners in Mainland China and all over the world to take action, in
the critical period when the persecution is still rampant. Regardless of
whether one is a new or veteran practitioner, everyone should come out to
clarify the facts about Falun Gong to the world's people, telling them
about the popularity of Falun Dafa and Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong. Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice guided by the universal principle
of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." It has been introduced
and spread to over 60 countries, and more than 100
million practitioners around the world have improved their physical and
mental well-being. Falun Gong does not accept gifts nor collect fees.
It is not concerned with religion and politics, but it requires
practitioners to upgrade their moral standards. The five sets of exercises
are easy to learn, and have a tremendous effect on healing illnesses and
keeping fit. Falun Gong has been honored with over 1,200 awards and
proclamations from different countries. In Taiwan, Falun Gong has been
highly praised and recognized by the government and people from all walks
of life. Just because there were a large number of people practicing Falun Gong,
such a good cultivation practice that benefits both the country and people
has been subjected to the Jiang group's slander and hateful propaganda in
the past five years. Out of his envy and resentment, Jiang and his
accomplices fabricated lies such as the "self-immolation" and
"murdering people" to deceive the public, and at the same time,
they have applied brutal torture methods to persecute innocent Falun Gong
practitioners. As of today, more than 1,000 practitioners have died as a
result of the persecution. Practitioners Sincerely Exchange Understanding and Share Experiences Ms. Liu from Taichong shared her experience in making phone calls to
the Chinese people in China to clarify the truth: She initially could not
speak Mandarin fluently, but through continually making phone calls to
Chinese people to tell them the goodness of Falun Dafa and persecution
facts, she can now speak quite good Mandarin. She feels that as long as
she holds a compassionate heart and thinks of others first, the other side
will understand and show their support. Madam Chang from Yunlin also shared her experience in clarifying the
truth through making phone calls. Madam Chang has been making 20 phone
calls each day. As she is illiterate, she asked her daughter to read the
article in Minnan Dialect and records her reading. She then repeatedly
listens to the recording and practices on her own, until she is very
familiar with it, then she begins to clarify the truth by making phone
calls in Minnan Dialect. As time went by, she learned to explain the facts
in Mandarin and she could make 100 to 200 phone calls each week. Her pure
kindness moved people at the other end of the phone and also encouraged
many local practitioners to join in to make phone calls to Chinese people. Ms. Liu, a manger in tourism shared her experience in introducing Falun
Dafa and clarifying the truth overseas. She thought practitioners outside
of China should first pay attention to our dress and appearance, as if we
neglect this, it may leave a negative impression on foreigners. In
addition, she felt we should explain the facts in ways that others can
understand and should not talk about principles that are too profound.
Especially when introducing Falun Dafa to westerners, it is important to
start with two points: Falun Dafa originated from qigong in Chinese
culture, and it is a set of cultivation practice of mind and body that
helps resolve people's worries and stress. She told many people in Europe and America that since the introduction
of Falun Dafa to the public in 1992, more than 70 million people had begun
practicing Falun Gong, and the number exceeded that of Community Party
members. This caused the leader's envy and resentment and started a brutal
and unreasonable persecution campaign. Ms. Liu said after her simple
explanation like this, many westerners got to know Falun Dafa and some of
them began practicing the exercises. Diligent Little Practitioners and Overall Improvement As One Body Little practitioners from Minghui School came along with their parents.
They read Hong Yin, viewed cartoons, made props for dancing, and
learned to sing songs composed by Dafa practitioners. These little
practitioners were very attentive and disciplined during the one-day
activity, and everyone praised them. Through this group Fa study and experience sharing, practitioners in
central Taiwan discovered their shortcomings, and encouraged each other to
be more diligent in cultivation so as to improve as one body. The activity
concluded at 4:30 p.m. All participants felt they benefited a lot and
resolved to seize the time to clarify the truth to more people.
