Sweden: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Gothenburg Arouses the Public's Kindness (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden. Located in the center of the delta formed by three northern European capitals, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen, Gothenburg has for some time been a well-known business center in northern Europe.

At this time of year, it is autumn in Gothenburg and frequent rainfall cleanses the city. When the rain stops and the sky clears up, the distinctive sensation of the clear and crisp autumn climate fills the air. Many Chinese delegations come to Gothenburg in autumn for trade or tourism. To clarify the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, practitioners from Sweden, Denmark and Finland held a series of anti-torture exhibitions at Gustav Adolf Torg, the square in front of the city hall of Gothenburg on August 27, 28 and September 3.

Some practitioners acted as the tortured Falun Gong practitioners in China, and some others acted as the Chinese policemen. They tried to give a visual depiction of the brutality of the persecution and the steadfast belief of Falun Gong practitioners. On the left-hand side of the anti-torture exhibition, several practitioners demonstrated the peaceful Falun Gong exercises. There were also practitioners providing vocal explanations of the persecution to passers-by repeatedly throughout the day. The truth shocked the public. In the face of the peaceful exercises and brutal torture, people's benevolence was aroused. No matter whether they were ordinary citizens or government officials, they all signed their names to express their objection against torture and their support towards Falun Gong.

After seeing the scenes of brutal torture, a young man stood speechless for a while before he told us with outrage, "It is unbelievable that such relentless torture still exists in the 21st century. Every one of us should stand up to voice our objection. We shouldn't allow it to occur in any corner of the world."

The brutal persecution in China of Falun Gong practitioners is conducted regardless of the victims' age. When a female westerner saw elderly practitioners perform the anti-torture exhibition, she sighed with tears in her eyes, "They have to endure this kind of torture even though they are so old. Why is the Chinese Government so dictatorial? Why can't the people have their own belief? What is the Chinese Government afraid of?"

Two Chinese tourists asked practitioners, "Why is Falun Gong's cohesion so strong?" Practitioners replied, "It is because our teacher tells us the principles of the cosmos are truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance. As long as you practice and carry them out accordingly, you will change. By that time, you will know why Falun Gong has such strength and cohesion." The two Chinese people accepted the leaflets gladly and left.
