The 2004 Indonesia Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Successfully Held at Jakarta (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 12, the 2004 Indonesia Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held in the Hilton Hotel in Jakarta. Near 600 practitioners and guests from more than 10 regions of Indonesia attended the conference.

The conference site was decorated solemnly. Two giant banners, "Enlighten to the Right Path" and "Cultivate Diligently", were displayed on both sides of Master's portrait. The director of the Indonesia Tourism Bureau sent greetings to the conference, and the former vice chairman of the National Political Consultative Conference attended a conference of this kind for the first time. The Taiwan Falun Dafa Association sent a congratulatory letter to the conference: "During this period where good and bad are often turned upside down, the Indonesia Falun Dafa Association has overcome arduous hardships and is holding the 2004 Indonesia Experience Sharing Conference. We wish you a great success. We hope that this conference will help more people know the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong, help practitioners reach the requirement of Fa Rectification and thus become great Dafa disciples that validate the Fa and assist Master in Fa Rectification, as well as saving sentient beings during the Fa Rectification period."

Indonesia is a nation of tens of thousands of islands. In the past few years, the number of practitioners has increased constantly. The conference provides a venue for new and veteran practitioners to exchange understandings of the Fa and discover shortcomings in their own cultivation. Indonesia's first national experience sharing conference was held in Jakarta in 2002, and the second conference was held in Bali in May 2003. In May 2004, the Eastern Indonesia Conference was held at Surabaya.

Many practitioners from Medan, Batan, Tanjung, Padang, Palembang, Semarang, Solo City, Yogyakarta, Tuban, Tulung Agung, Pasuruan, Surabaya, Bali and Yakarta attended the conference. The venue was packed with practitioners, and organizers had to add chairs for those who couldn't find seats.

Cultural performance

Practitioners who gave speeches came from all over Indonesia. A student from a school for the blind in Bali recited "Lun Yu" (the preface of Zhuan Falun), and the principal of the school presented the Dafa Association with a plaque to express appreciation for Falun Dafa's contributions to the school. Xu Wentai accepted the honor on behalf of the association. Besides experience sharing, the conference also had many cultural programs, including Tang attire dancing, singing by a choir temporarily formed by Jakarta and Medan practitioners, and other performances.

One day before the conference, practitioners from all over Indonesia held a grand parade to expose Jiang Zemin's crime against practitioners. The procession, which consisted of floats, exercise demonstrations, anti-torture exhibition and symbolic trial of Jiang, ranged for 1 kilometer

Reporters from several TV stations said that they had heard about Falun Gong before, but they only knew Falun Gong was being persecuted in China. They never knew that the practitioners' cultural troupe was so wonderful. The reporters commented: Each practitioner has a bright face! Having endured so much persecution, their expressions don't have even a tiny bit of anger or hatred.
