(Clearwisdom.net) On September 5, the first ever "Fall Festival of Native Taiwanese in Sanxia Region" was held at a local park in Sanxia town, Taipei County. In the early morning, a lot of native Taiwanese came to celebrate their festival. Though it rained off and on, the atmosphere was quite relaxing and full of joy.

Besides the performances, the hosting institution also arranged many booths to display the traditional food and culture of native Taiwanese. Among them, however, there was a very special booth by non-native Taiwanese, the Falun Dafa booth. Practitioners displayed many free materials and played a series of Falun Gong truth-clarifying movies. The movies ranged from personal testimonies of practitioners who regained health from practicing Falun Gong, to positive changes Falun Dafa brought to school students, and also the truth of the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident. From the movie show, people learned that Falun Dafa is a good cultivation method for the mind and body, and the persecution is wrong. Many people asked for materials, and one lady wanted to learn the exercises at the site right away.

At noon, the hosting institution catered delicious food for all of the festival participants and visitors. After the lunch break, afternoon programs started and it was soon our turn to perform. Practitioners from Banqiao, Tucheng and Shulin demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. As soon as practitioners came to the performance site, it started to rain. The host encouraged us: "Native Taiwanese perform in the rain, Falun Gong friends should also be able to perform in rain."

However, it rained harder and harder and eventually became a downpour. The host then asked the practitioners whether or not we wanted to stop and wait till it got better. The practitioners told her that it didn't matter. With the melodious exercise music sounding in the heavy rain, practitioners gracefully demonstrated the exercises. The most touching scene was young practitioners in the first row who were demonstrating the fifth sitting meditation. Despite the heavy rain, they sat on the wet ground in the double-lotus position.

Because of practitioners' outstanding performance in the heavy rain, the native Taiwanese at the site were deeply touched and they continually applauded. At the end, led by the host, everyone at the festival acclaimed, "Falun Dafa is Good!"
