Our Every Word and Deed Either Validates or Damages the Reputation of Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) What Dafa disciples should do well is three things: study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. We must pay attention to every word and deed in our everyday lives as all of them will either validate Dafa or damage the reputation of Falun Dafa.

If practitioners do well, people will say: "See how good Falun Dafa practitioners are, and how high their virtue is." This will spread widely from one to many people, which is validating Dafa. If we don't do well, we may cause damage to Dafa. For example, when we have contact with other people in everyday society, or when we share experiences with other practitioners, if we get upset when somebody says something bad about us, or someone talks bad behind our backs, or if we are then furious and argue with them, then this is damaging Dafa; this is not putting Dafa first, but putting ourselves first.

Master reiterates that we should read the Fa more and study the Fa more. But what is the purpose of studying the Fa more? It is to improve our behavior and is instructing us to have righteous thoughts and righteous behavior according to Dafa.

"Study the Fa and obtain the Fa,

Share in learning and share in cultivating,

Following [the Fa] in everything,

Compliance is cultivation." (Hong Yin--"Solid Cultivation")

If we don't emphasize the improvement of our behavior and if we don't measure ourselves by Dafa when studying, then it is just like reading a novel. It will not work and no matter how much we study the Fa, it will be in vain. If we still behave the same as we did before after we study the Fa, and use everyday people's thoughts to deal with things, this is not what Dafa disciples should do.
