Thoughts on the Official Approval of the Falun Dafa Association in Japan

(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Dafa Association received the official approval of being a non-profit organization (NPO) from the Tokyo government on August 27, 2004. Being a Falun Dafa practitioner, I thank the Japanese people's understanding and support. At the same time, I sincerely wish that the Japanese people and the citizens in Tokyo benefit from Dafa and have healthy bodies and a bright future.

I have practiced Falun Gong for six years. We practitioners do the exercises together, share experiences, and look inside ourselves during conflicts. I was continuously enlightened to things I was previously not able to solve no matter how I tried. I continuously experienced magical things that don't even seem possible in my dreams, and continuously saw people rushing in wanting to learn about Dafa. I felt my body and mind so relaxed and free, and that beauty was beyond description.

A practitioner told me one thing after he finished his doctorate in a university. I still remember it clearly. There was a short-term researcher from the police department who worked in the same lab with him. After they got to know with each other, the researcher told him that the police department had noticed Falun Gong a long time ago. Long before Dafa practitioners had translated Zhuan Falun into Japanese, the people from the police department had already done their own translation.

On July 20, 1999, after Falun Gong was suppressed in China, the Chinese consulate and embassy became the windows for us to express our opinions. Right after the persecution started, the Chinese consulates told the Japanese people that Falun Gong was similar to a cult in Japan. That made the Japanese people very nervous. When we went to the Chinese consulate, the policemen were sometimes very rude to us. When we applied to register as a non-profit organization (NPO), we got a lot of interference from the Chinese consulate. That was truly interfering Japan's internal affairs. I heard that China sent people from the Chinese Public Safety Bureau and the Security Department to Japan and did some research.

Lies are meant to be poked through eventually. One worker in the police department saw the Dafa practitioners standing quietly in front of the Chinese consulate in the cold. He bought them more than ten bottles of hot tea out of his own pocket. Often, people on motorcycles or in cars driving by shouted to the practitioners, "Good job!"

Earlier during the persecution, being poisoned by the lies from the Chinese government, most of the Japanese people didn't like us. I remember in year 2000 when I was giving out the truth materials on a busy street, I could only give out no more than 20 copies in one afternoon. After practitioners' unremitting effort, millions of copies of Dafa materials were delivered to tens of thousands of households and to the hands of the people. Now the situation is totally different. Whenever there was a holiday, one practitioner can give out over a thousand copies of the Falun Gong related newspaper.

Applying to become an NPO was not for us. We would still practice Falun Gong whether there was a formal NPO or not. However, because we have been approved as an NPO, there will be more Japanese people that benefit from practicing Falun Gong and that will be their good fortune. After knowing more and more truth about Falun Gong, Tokyo has bypassed the interference from the Chinese Consulate and made a wise decision. Congratulations!
