By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

Falun Gong practitioners thrown into the Huangpu Brainwashing Center in Guangzhou are subject to both physical and mental tortures. Each evening, the torturers at Huangpu Brainwashing Center force Falun Gong practitioners to watch video programs slandering Falun Gong. The torturers have even forced practitioners to watch the brainwashing video programs around the clock for 13 consecutive days. Moreover, at midnight every night, captain Qiu Chaohua brings a team of police officers to beat and torture the practitioners.

Note: In the actual torture, there is an average of four to five men torturing a Falun Gong practitioner.

Usually there are as many as five torturers beating one Falun Gong practitioner. They grab the practitioner's head by the hair while punching him all over his body. They also pull the practitioner's hair and then spin his body in the air rapidly until they become nauseated. As soon as the practitioner falls to the floor and is off balance, they hold him to the ground and stuff his head into a toilet bowl. Some Falun Gong practitioners subjected to this type of torture end up passing out due to suffocation in the toilet.

This is not the only type of torture used at the Huangpu Brainwashing Center. The torturers there also flog Falun Gong practitioners violently with steel rods, and stab them with large needles. This causes wounds and excessive bleeding. Some torturers hit Falun Gong practitioners hard on the head with tobacco pipes, and this causes bumps, bruises, wounds, and bleeding. By the time they finish torturing a Falun Gong practitioner, the floor is covered with puddles of blood. Therefore, each time they finish torturing a Falun Gong practitioner, the captain of the torture team asks the staff to mop the floor. Meanwhile, they go to another torture chamber and beat up the next Falun Gong practitioner. (They usually torture one Falun Gong practitioner at a time in a torture chamber.) Each hour the torture team averages three to four torture sessions. This continues until after 6:00 a.m. the next morning and happens every night. There is not a Falun Gong practitioner at the Huangpu Brainwashing Center who is not covered with wounds from head to toe.

Torturers Keep a Falun Gong Practitioner's Body Bent and Folded in a Painful Position for a Long Time

Police officers at Haizhu Brainwashing Center bind Falun Gong practitioners' arms behind their backs, pull their arms upwards by the hands, and tie each end of the rope around the opposite shoulder. Next, they make Falun Gong practitioners sit with their legs crossed on top of each other, then tie their legs to keep them in that position. The torturers even pull their knees together until they are only less than seven inches apart. Then they press Falun Gong practitioners' upper bodies against their chests, and tie them up to keep them in that painful position. At this point, the practitioners' bodies are now painfully bent and folded, and this makes it difficult to breathe.

Still, the torture does not end here. The torturers tie a long strip of fabric to the hands and then tie the other end of the fabric to the ceiling. They adjust the length of the fabric to make Falun Gong practitioners' bottom barely touch the ground, adding to their torment.

Next these police officers stuff seven or eight photographs of the practitioners' most respected Teacher, Mr. Li Hongzhi, into the female Falun Gong practitioners' shirts and pants. This made the practitioners suffer both physically and spiritually. The police officers desecrate Teacher Li Hongzhi's photographs each time they perform this torture.

Some Falun Gong practitioners have suffered from this type of torture repeatedly. Each time the torture was very long and they were not allowed to use the bathroom. They were subjected to the most indescribable, excruciating pain for the longest time. The police officers did not loosen the bindings until the practitioners were extremely dizzy, and their bodies turned dark purple and numb. During the slow, painful torture, the police officers keep shouting at Falun Gong practitioners, "We are helping you to practice sitting meditation! We are helping you enhance your cultivation level! We are doing you good!" In actuality, anyone subjected to this type of torture would feel better off dead. Each time Falun Gong practitioners were released, they lost all feeling in their bodies and could not move at all.
