Falun Gong Practitioners Go on Hunger Strike to Protest the Torture Death of Bi Wenming at Dingxi Prison, Gansu Province

Mr. Bi Wenming from Longxi, Gansu Province was a Falun Gong practitioner in his 30s. He was illegally sentenced to three years in prison, and while being detained in Dingxi Prison, he was tortured to death.

After learning of his death, other practitioners also detained in the same prison went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. So far they've been on a hunger strike for over 10 days. The prison guards force-fed them brutally. The guards claimed they would torture practitioners until they near death, then have the practitioners' family members pick them up before they died in prison. In order to block the news, the prison authorities have refused family members of practitioners the right to visit, saying that they are under orders from higher up.
