Police Arrest and Persecute 60 Year Old Woman

At the beginning of June 2004, arrests of Dafa practitioners occurred again in the Jiansanjiang area of Heilongjiang province.

The local head of the "610" office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] dispatched over 20 policemen to surround and break into my house. When they tried to take me away my four-year-old grandson became afraid and started to cry. My husband pulled my grandson out of the way, while 5 or 6 policemen were dragging me, an elderly woman, like a lifeless body into their car. They took me to the local station and kept my persecution a secret.

I went on a hunger strike to protest this persecution. When my family heard, they asked the police to release me. The arresting officer said, "Let her die if she wants to." Finally, under the pressure of public opinion, he had to release me.

The head of the "610" office also once lied to local practitioners by claiming, "We will leave you alone if you practice at home." Those practitioners who believed this came to regret it after they found out that they had been deceived. Those practitioners who did not believe this are moving ahead in cultivation.

My case is not unique. Previously, the policemen arrested and persecuted Mrs. Pan, a lady over 60 years old, and they secretly sentenced a 59-year-old practitioner, Meng, to three years at the labor camp.
