Ms. Qu Shufen, a Farmer from Dongguang County, Hebei Province, Was Persecuted to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) In late 2001 as she was clarifying the truth to people, Ms. Qu Shufen, a farmer from Chengzhuang Village, Lianzhen Township, Dongguang County, Hebei province, was detained and persecuted by policeman Gong Jingwen from the National Security Section. Both her mind and body were severely damaged as a result of abuse at the hands of the police. Upon her return home, it was apparent that Ms. Qu had suffered a mental collapse. She died, a victim of injustice, at the end of 2003.

55-year-old Qu Shufen began to practice Falun Gong in late 1997. After practicing Falun Gong, all her illnesses such as heart disease, arthritis, and liver disease disappeared after a few months without her taking any medicine.

After Jiang Zemin began to openly persecute Falun Gong in July 1999, Qu Shufen and her husband, also a Falun Dafa practitioner, were persecuted by Zhao Wanxiang from the Lianzhen Politics and Judicial Committee of Dongguang County, Jiang Wanzhi and Gong Jingwen from the National Security Section, and the local police station. The authorities ransacked their home and detained the couple many times. They took as much as 9,000 yuan (1) of their money as "fines" and did not give them any receipts. Ms. Qu was detained for a total of over 90 days, whereas her husband was detained for over 120 days. This caused their cropland to be left unattended and they lost crops each year.

At the end of 2001, Gong Jingwen detained Qu Shufen as she was clarifying the truth to people, and persecuted her cruelly. During the medical examination prior to sending her to a forced labor camp, they discovered that Ms. Qu had high blood pressure, and the labor camp refused to admit her due to her health condition. Upon her return home, because of being severely traumatized mentally and physically, Ms. Qu could not study the Fa (2) or practice the exercises.

Ms. Qu could not recover as a result of severe damage to both her mind and body. She unjustly died at the end of 2003 after medical means failed to successfully treat her.

It was reported that Zhou Ronghua, the head nurse of Dongguang County Chinese Herbal Medicine Hospital, after being cruelly tortured by police, was sent to the forced labor camp in Shijiazhuang for a 3-year term. In the end, she was tortured to the point of suffering a mental collapse.
