Penrith, Australia: Practitioners Present Lotus Exhibit on Human Rights Day at the University of Western Sydney (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) To commemorate the deaths of more than one thousand
Falun Gong practitioners in the persecution in China, the Falun Dafa
Organization at the University of Western Sydney in Penrith held a Lotus Exhibit
on Human Rights Day, which was organized by the Human Rights Environment Student
team. Falun Gong practitioners displayed paper lotuses on a lawn and information
boards next to the pavement.
A student stopped to read the display about how Falun Gong practitioners in
China were cruelly persecuted. He told Falun Gong practitioners that he knew
about the situation of human rights and the Cultural Revolution in China very
well. A Falun Gong practitioner told him this persecution had exceeded the
Cultural Revolution in its cruelty. Many torture methods had been used to forced
Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their faith in
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." However, Falun Gong
practitioners have remained steadfast. Their great compassion and forbearance
have shown people the peaceful nature of Falun Gong. Many people, including
policemen, have been deeply moved after they learned the true story of Falun
Gong.
Another student expressed his support of Falun Gong because he knew about
Falun Gong's non-violent resistance to the persecution over the past five years.
A Falun Gong practitioner and member of the Human Rights Environment Student
Team gave a short speech on Falun Gong, the persecution and the meaning of this
Lotus Exhibit.
Falun Gong practitioners also demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong
exercises. Some people joined in and a beginner said, "Falun Dafa is so
good. Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
