Correct Extreme and Warped Notions and Rationally Walk Our Path to Mighty Virtue

(Clearwisdom.net) The final battle between good and evil in the universe has begun. What should we as Dafa disciples in China and true Dafa particles do? What are our true motives to take part in the final battle? Do we go to Beijing to achieve consummation and raise our levels? Or do we really want to thoroughly eliminate all the evil in other dimensions that participated in persecution of Dafa so as to save more sentient beings?

Some practitioners have not cultivated solidly for a long time. They have been cultivating while holding on to their fundamental attachments. They have participated in Fa validation activities and truth clarification with a lot of human thoughts. They have been tied to and led by their fundamental attachment of pursuit. So their actions of validating Dafa were not sacred. Instead, they kept on making mistakes and causing losses. They have stumbled again and again, but are still in a fog.

Why don't we look inside and ask ourselves what the motives of each of our actions were? Deep in our hearts, were we motivated by selfishness? Were we attached to anything that was slyly concealed and tenaciously defended within our innermost thoughts? Did we stubbornly safeguard or refuse to give up deeply rooted human desires and worldly notions? If we searched our hearts and conscience, we would understand that every trouble and every detour we encountered occurred because we didn't realize what we should do, and we didn't handle things according to the strict requirements of Dafa. Cultivation is a very serious matter.

In fact, a lot of our thoughts that seem "correct" or "in accordance with the Fa" have been manipulated by the old forces. We seem to be going to Beijing to validate Dafa. We seem to be doing things to clarify the truth. We seemed to be making efforts for Dafa but too many impure thoughts were mixed in.

Some practitioners have not managed to act rationally as Teacher has asked us to do, and they have caused losses again and again.

In fact, from the beginning, they muddled along, doing things to validate the Fa without a clear understanding of the Fa, without getting rid of their fundamental attachment of pursuit, and without a pure motive. Before going to Beijing, they said things like, "Going to Beijing means being prepared to take a beating," "I will not be able to consummate if I don't go to Beijing," and so on. How could they not run into problems when they had such serious gaps in their understanding and conformed to the old forces to this extent? Having such thoughts in their mind, how could the old forces keep from finding loopholes to persecute them?

In order to take part in the battle between good and evil, we must be very clear about our motives and state of mind. Learning from the lessons of the past few years, we should join the battle with a pure, calm and rational mind. The reason we go to Beijing to send forth righteous thoughts and clarify truth is to use the divine powers and wisdom we have gained from the Fa to thoroughly eliminate the evil, rotten demons and dark minions in other dimensions, and to save more sentient beings with our great benevolence.

Let's review Teacher's words in "Digging Out the Roots" in "Falun Dafa Essentials for Further Advancement".

"I have long noticed that a few individuals do not have the heart to safeguard Dafa, but instead intend to safeguard certain things in human society. If you were an everyday person I would have no objections--it is certainly a good thing to be a good person who safeguards human society. But now you are a cultivator. From what standpoint you view Dafa is fundamental--this is also what I want to point out to you. During your cultivation practice, I will use every means to expose all of your attachments and dig them out at their roots."

"You cannot always rely on me to bring you up to a higher level while you, yourself do not move. Only after the Fa is explicitly stated do you make a move. If it is not taught clearly, you do not move, or move backward. I cannot recognize such behavior as cultivation practice. At the crucial moment when I ask you to break away from humanness, you do not follow me. Each opportunity will not occur again. Cultivation practice is a serious matter. The distance has become greater and greater. It is extremely dangerous to add anything human to cultivation practice. In fact, it is also fine to just be a good person. But you must be clear that you choose your own path."
