Dafa Practitioner Li Xiuying from Chongqing Unlawfully Detained for over Two Years, Currently Suffers Abuse in a Hospital

(Clearwisdom.net) Fifty-two-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying from Chongqing was unlawfully detained on January 3, 2002 simply for practicing Falun Dafa. She was held for as long as two years in the Lizhiba Detention Center in Chongqing City. During the detention period she was tortured and suffered severe physical and psychological abuse. Li Xiuying was incarcerated for eight months in the Yongchuan Women's Prison and the warden did not allow family members to visit her.

Recently, in her letter to a family member, Ms. Li wrote that she was sent to Yongchuan Hospital in May because of a high fever and swelling in the arms. On August 4, her mother went to the hospital to visit her but the hospital police refused to admit her. Li Xiuying's present situation is unknown.

We appeal to people of conscience throughout the world, to come together to help us stop the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. We demand the immediate release of all practitioners, including Li Xiuying, who are currently being detained.
