Hebei Province: Zhuozhou City Practitioner Ms. Lu Ling Suffers Mental Collapse as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Due to the fact that Ms. Lu Ling refused to renounce Falun Gong, the local authorities and police harassed her continuously. Recently, she suffered a mental collapse just two days after she was arrested.

On March 2, 2004, at around 3 p.m. Communist Party leader Ma Shuyuan, from Chang Village in Dongchengfang Town, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, led Zhang Xianliang, Zhang Yongda, Li Hongbao, Li Zengyuan, Li Jingling, Wang Wenhua and Zhou Yongjian to Lu Ling's home and conducted an unlawful search.

On December 1, 2004, at around 10 a.m., Lu Ling went out to pay her electricity bill at the local village office. Suddenly, a group of people charged out of the office and forced Ms. Lu into a car and took her to her home. They searched her house and turned the whole place upside down, but did not find what they were looking for. They then took Lu Ling to the Manan Brainwashing Center, organized by the Baoding District.

Within two days, Lu Ling was persecuted to the extent that she suffered a mental collapse. Later, the head of the brainwashing center ordered the village leader to take her home but the leader continued to postpone releasing her. Ms. Lu's family personally talked to the village Party Secretary, Teng Guangcheng. Teng became angry and said that he did not personally beat Lu Ling, nor did he put her into the brainwashing center. Thus, he claimed that her situation had nothing to do with him and he did not do anything to bring her home. In the end, the township leader had to give the order and Teng was forced to bring Ms. Lu's family to the brainwashing center and bring her home. Those who abducted Lu Ling and forced her into the brainwashing center are the following authorities from the Township Justice Department: Teng Guangcheng, Zhao Yueling, Zhang Guifu, Yan Kai, Wang Wenhua, Li Jingling, Chen Yongjian.

For the past five years, the Chang Village Party Secretary and others have been unlawfully issuing Lu Ling with fines because of her practice of Falun Gong. Now they have caused Ms. Lu to suffer a mental collapse in only two days, and they have threatened to evict Ms. Lu's family from the village.
