National Post Letter to the Editor: China Must Stop Atrocities


It is heart breaking when we suffer so much loss from the unstoppable power of nature. But it is more sickening when humans continue to kill in the name of politics and power.

Since its inception the Chinese communist party is responsible for over 400 times the number of deaths caused by the recent South Asian Tsunami and for the past 5 years they have targeted Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners' only "crime" is trying to empower their spirit to have faith in god and the principles of Truth, Compassion, Tolerance

We should not have to urge our PM to publicly call on China to stop the persecution against Falun Gong when he visits China this month. It is time the atrocities ended for the sake of China, the Chinese people and for the countries trade relations.

Our true regret will be when history proves that man inflicted atrocities were preventable but we as people chose to do nothing.
