Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Guangmao from Weifang is currently being detained in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. For the past six months, personnel from the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, the Qingdao Railroad Public Security Office and the Weifang National Security Office have persecuted and tortured him. He is extremely weak right now and is in danger of losing his life at any moment.

About ten days ago, two agents from the Weifang National Security Office again went to the labor camp to interrogate and persecute Mr. Wang. Under this three-way persecution conducted by Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, the Qingdao Railroad Public Security Office and the Weifang National Security Office, Mr. Wang's mind and body have been subjected to severe abuses. He is no longer able to eat or sleep well. He is extremely emaciated. Recently the forced labor camp was forced to send him to an outside hospital for a checkup. The results of a scan revealed a severe condition of insufficient blood flow in his vertebral artery and high blood pressure. The doctor said that he had level 3 high blood pressure, which is very dangerous.

Mr. Yang, 48, was originally a chief controller and assistant accountant at the Electricity Service Section in the Shandong Weifang Railroad Bureau. He started his practice of Falun Gong at the end of 1994. Soon after, his old illnesses of tuberculosis, heart disease and high blood pressure all disappeared. After Jiang's faction started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Mr. Yang exercised his legal right to go to Beijing to appeal. He was illegally detained twice. Afterward, he was forced to become destitute to avoid persecution. On April 24, 2004, after living on the run for three years, Mr. Yang was abducted by special agents from the Weifang National Security Office. One month later, realizing that Mr. Yang had a severe heart condition, the Qingdao Railroad Public Security Office deliberately hid his illness, twisted the facts, and fabricated "evidence" in order to bribe Wangcun Forced Labor Camp to illegally sentence Mr. Yang to a three-year term.

For the past six months, Wangcun Forced Labor Camp has been ignoring Mr. Yang's health condition. In order to force Mr. Yang to renounce Falun Gong, the labor camp has imposed cruel tortures . As a result, Mr. Yang's health has drastically deteriorated. His heart condition has worsened. He suffers from dizziness, tightness in his chest, numbness of his limbs, breaking out in cold sweats, and high blood pressure. The doctor said that his condition completely qualified him for a medical parole. Wangcun Forced Labor Camp not only refused to release him, but also forced him to do hard labor making electromagnetic coils. Mr. Yang's family contacted the personnel in charge at the labor camp and told them that Mr. Yang was in danger of losing his life at any minute. They requested that Mr. Yang be released immediately. The labor camp authorities did not care at all saying, "There are so many people like him in the labor camp."

According to an insider, Wangcun Forced Labor Camp officials were afraid of being held responsible for Mr. Yang's life and considered releasing him a while ago. But the Qingdao Railroad Bureau officials did not agree, saying, "If he is sick, we'll pay for his medical treatment in the labor camp." They also bribed the labor camp several times. Meanwhile, agents from the Weifang National Security Office went to the labor camp repeatedly to interrogate Mr. Yang, intimating and threatening him in an attempt to get him to reveal information about other practitioners. Mr. Yang firmly rejected their demands.
