Ms. Wu Yuqin of Inner Mongolia Died as a Result of Persecution in 2003 (Clearwisdom.net) In the night of December 25, 2003, police arrested
Ms. Wu Yuqin, a 49-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Xilinhaote City of
Inner Mongolia, at her home. She was killed during that night. Ms. Wu Yuqin started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. After the former CCP
leader Jiang Zemin started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Ms.
Wu traveled to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. She went to Tiananmen
Square, where she unfurled a banner, appealing for justice for Falun Gong. She
returned home safely. One day when she and other practitioners were doing Falun
Gong exercises in a public park, the police viciously broke up the group. At around 9 pm on December 25, 2003, four to five police broke into Ms. Wu's
home. Two policewomen grabbed her arms and arrested her. Ms. Wu was not able to
put on a coat and wore only slippers. She was taken to Xilinhaote City Public
Security Bureau. The next morning, Ms. Wu was found dead outside the Public Security Bureau.
The police claimed that Ms. Mu committed suicide and made up a bizarre story to
mislead the public. They told spectators that Ms. Wu was an accountant from some
town and had embezzled government funds. They alleged that she had jumped out of
the window before they could interrogate her. Si Qin, the wife of policeman Asi of Ximeng Public Security Bureau, bear
direct responsibility for this, as she is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong
locally. Ms. Wu's death can be traced back to her. Allegedly this incident
happened with the consent and participation of Chief Wang of the Xilinhaote
Public Security Bureau. January 13, 2005 Posting date: 1/19/2005 |
