Ms. Li Guilan, 57, is a retired teacher at the Technical School of the Shiyan Machinery Factory in Shandong Province. She lives at the factory's family quarters. Ms. Li was arrested on November 11, 2004, while clarifying the truth near her home. It has been reported that she was recently sentenced to twenty-one months in a forced labor camp.

In the maximum security team affiliated with the No. 2 branch camp of the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, Falun Gong practitioners are held in isolation and deprived of sleep. The officials there take turns to persuade practitioners and pressure them to write "Guarantee Statements." Fourteen practitioners are still detained there.

Mr. Chen Libin has been placed in isolation six times. Mr. Li Xiaoming's whereabouts remain unknown as his term was extended by three more months because he went on a hunger strike. Ms. Zhang Shizhen, Zhang Tao, Wu Xinjin and others all have been subjected to extended torture.

Ms. Liu Fengqin and her daughter moved temporarily to the No. 1, Building 6 on Zhiguo Street in Lulinshan from their residence at No. 2, Building 24, Group 13, No. 38 Residential Committee in the Nanshan District of Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. More than a dozen officers from the Dalu Police Station, affiliated with the Nanshan District Police Department, arrested both of them around 8:00 p.m. on November 2, 2004. The police later ransacked their home. The officers and Liu Shouquan, deputy director of the Dalu police Station, violently attacked Ms. Liu in order to obtain a confession from her. While in custody, she and her daughter were deprived of food and water. Her daughter was released only after she started to have convulsions

At around 6:00 p.m. on November 3, Ms. Liu was sent to Hegang City No. 2 Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike protesting the unlawful detention and was force-fed by detention center officers.

Mr. Yu Wenzhong is from Jilin City, Jilin Province. After he boarded the 7:48 p.m. Jilin bound train from Beijing on December 4, 2004, railroad officers arrested him. On December 6, the officers from the Police Station of Jilin Railroad Branch Bureau and from the Longtan Police Station, a subsidiary of the Longtan District Political Security Section of the Jilin City State Security Department, ransacked his home. Mr. Yu is being held at the Jilin City Railroad Detention Center.

When Mr. Zhang Liyou's family members from Yushu City went to visit him on November 28, 2004, they noticed that he was very thin. His voice was weak and he ate very little at each meal. There were traces of blood in his phlegm. The diagnosis from the hospital indicated that he suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis. Mr. Zhang is in critical condition.

The police broke into the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Fengjun and Mr. Han Dawei around 6:00 p.m. on December 2, 2004. The three officers, Zhou Cunde, Wang, and Guo, were from the Liujiaxiang Police Station in Yushu City, Jilin Province. They confiscated Zhuan Falun and other books and then took Mr. Zhang and Mr. Han to the Liujiaxiang Police Station for interrogation. Both practitioners were subsequently sent to a facility affiliated with the Yushu City Police Department. Officers led by Wang Dahai, director of the Liujiaxiang Police Station tortured them.

On October 17, 2004, Mr. Yu Enxiang went on a hunger strike and demanded an unconditional release. After more than one month on his hunger strike, he was very weak. An officer used an electric baton to shock him in the mouth, on the face and on various parts of his body. Mr. Yu is in critical condition as a result of such abuse.

On the morning of November 30, several officers led by Chen Shen, director of the Lanxi Town Police Station in Xishui Town, Hubei Province, broke into Mr. Chen Dejing's home in order to arrest him. Mr. Chen happened to be out. The officers ransacked his entire house, and took all of his valuables. Mr. Chen has been homeless ever since.

On December 4, 2004, Ms. Zhang Fenghua, Mr. Li Tiancai and two other Falun Dafa practitioners from Guanghua Town in Tonghua County, Jilin Province were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Diao Xisen, Party Secretary of the town, caught the practitioners and sent them to the police station. They were detained at the Kuaida Town Detention Center in the county on December 5.

Ms. Zhou Cui'e, an elderly practitioner, was arrested. Then several days later, at around 4:00 p.m. on December 2, 2004, officers from the Wuxue City 610 Office and the city's state security department arrested three more practitioners in their homes. The three practitioners were Ms. Wu Yaqin, an employee of the Wuxue City Medicine Company, Ms. Chen Ronghua, an employee of the Wuxue City Bus Transportation Company, and Mr. Zhu Jianxun.

On the afternoon of December 7, 2004, officers from the Panlong District 610 Office arrested Mr. Dong Zhikun, of the Forestry Professional School in Kunming City, at his office. He was sent to a brainwashing facility located in a villa near the Jindian area. The brainwashing sessions were to last for ten days.

Cai Junping from Nanning City, Guangxi Province has been sentenced to three years of forced labor. In addition, at the end of November, two Falun Dafa practitioners from the Yongxin District of Nanning City were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying cards.

On the evening of November 30, 2004, the local police arrested several Falun Dafa practitioners from Linghai City while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. The practitioners were Ms. Liu Peiyu, Ms. Guo Li, Ms. Li Suhui, Ms. Li Suhua, Ms. Jin Ying, and Ms. Xiao Hongmei. They were taken to the Linghai City Detention Center.

On November 27, 2004, Ms. Liang Jianqin and Xie Tiejun went to the Longjiashan area in Xiaoshui Town, Leiyang City, Hunan Province to clarify the truth. When they went by the Baisha Coal and Electric Group, police officers took them into custody and conducted a body search before placing them under arrest. The two practitioners were sent to the Baisha Coal and Electric Group Police Department. They were detained at the Leiyang Detention Center the next evening.

Mr. Liu Yanli is a retired employee of the Lengshuijiang General Steel Factory in Hunan Province. He lives in the family quarters of the steel factory. Around midnight on December 4, 2004, officers, from the Lengshuijiang City 610 Office, and the State Security Squad broke into Mr. Liu's home. They ransacked Mr. Liu's home and took him into custody. Mr. Liu is being held at the Xinhua County Detention Center.
