Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Liangjun Was Brutally Tortured for Three Years While Detained in Guizhou Province Prisons and Detention Centers

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Liangjun, a 50-year-old Falun Gong practitioner, used to live in Tongzi County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. He now resides at Songshuping Village, Fenghuang Town, Zhongshan District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province. Because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa, Wang Liangjun suffered inhuman torture in Guizhou Province detention centers and prisons. Nonetheless, he still firmly believes in Teacher and Dafa.

Over a period of three years, from September 11, 2001 to September 11, 2004, Mr. Wang was unlawfully detained at Tongzi Detention Center, Liupanshui Detention Center, Guiyang Relocation Center and Guizhou Duyun Detention Center. During those three years, he suffered cruel torture, including beatings and forced feedings of drugs. As a result, his health deteriorated drastically. Even after three months of freedom, Wang Liangjun has not recovered and he is still bedridden. There are injuries to his head, ears, eyes and feet. He had lost his hearing and eyesight. He has no feelings in his arms and legs, and his toes are still bleeding.

Mr. Wang Liangjun began practicing Falun Dafa in1998. He read Zhuan Falun in one day and the other seven Falun Dafa books in three days. He was deeply moved by the profound teachings he found in the books. He saw Falun rotating on his hand at the beginning of practicing Falun Gong, and Teacher adjusting and purifying his body.

From July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Gong, Wang Liangjun was very diligent in clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. On September 11, 2001, he was arrested in Zunyi City, and unlawfully detained in Tongzi Detention Center for two weeks. The police wanted him to admit that he had hung Dafa banners in the Honghuagang area of Zunyi City. He told them, "I have not heard of Honghuagang in Zunyi City. How can I admit to what you are accusing me?" The Liupanshui City police ransacked his home in the Zhongshang District while he was detained. They broke his furniture and confiscated two varnish containers, some material used for making shoes, and Falun Dafa books and tapes.

On September 27, 2001, the Zunyi City police sent Wang Liangjun to Liupanshui City. During the ride, the police beat him. The Liupanshui police stood by while the Zunyi City police officers manhandled him.

At the No. 1 Liupanshui Detention Center, the prisoners beat Mr. Wang. A police officer, with the last name of Song, coerced the prisoners to drag Mr. Wang over the ground. His clothes were torn and soaked with blood.

In August 2002, Wang Liangjun was detained in Guiyang Relocation Center for a month. During the cooler mid-autumn days, the police made him sleep for an entire month on the cold floor without any blankets.

On August 27, 2002, Wang Liangjun was sentenced to three years of forced labor without a fair trial or valid court documentation. The judge based his decision on Wang's writing, " Falun Gong has a positive effect on people's morality and teaches people to be kind," and, "Jiang must restore the reputation of Falun Gong."

Wang Liangjun was detained in Duyun Detention Center from August 2002 to September 2004. He was bedridden for two years at Duyun Detention Center as a result of the severe abuse he suffered. In September 2004, the Liupanshui City police carried him home. He is still bedridden. He is deaf and can only see written Chinese characters as large as a finger. He tells people repeatedly, " I was injured as a result of being dragged around." Even now, there are still scars on his neck caused by wearing a shackle. His speech is garbled, but we can decipher that he experienced inhuman torture at the Duyun Detention Center.

In Duyun Prison, Wang Liangjun's neck was injured from being beaten by the prisoners. (By order of Jiang's regime "It is considered as suicide if a practitioner is tortured to death." Prisoners may reduce their terms if they beat Falun Gong practitioners.) Mr. Wang's neck was full of blisters. The prisoners then used scissors to open the blisters and drain the pus. He could hear the sound when the scissors cut into his skin. It was so painful that he lost consciousness. Then they used alcohol to wash the infected wounds. It hurt so much that Mr. Wang lost consciousness again. After cleaning the wounds, they used a needle to sew the wounds shut and then wrapped his neck with gauze. The thread is still in his neck muscle. There is a 2.72-inch long wound on his right armpit. The wound is still highly visible.

Wang Liangjun was brutally force-fed drugs after he had suffered this ordeal. His hands and feet were shackled and prisoners held him down. They used a metal tool to open his mouth. When he didn't open his mouth willingly, they beat him. Once, the guards beat Mr. Wang until he lost consciousness. He didn't know how long he was unconsciousness. Mr. Wang's mouth was injured and bleeding, and they squeezed his nose so he could not breathe. The drugs mingled with his blood, and the wounds became worse.

Wang Liangjun also saw the torture suffered by other practitioners. A practitioner named Yu Zhongchen was forced to take injections and drugs. A practitioner whose last time is Song was beaten and lost his teeth. Mr. Wang observed much more suffering inflicted on other practitioners. The beatings were meant to coerce practitioners into writing the "Guarantee Statement," stating that they would renounce Falun Gong. After every beating, the police tried to force Mr. Wang to write the "Three Statements." He told them, " I cannot write such a statement. I am a good person. I could not betray my conscience. I can't do that. I would rather die than write it." Time and time, he repeated this sentence, "I would rather die than betray my conscience. I can't do that."

Due to his injuries, Mr. Wang was unable to walk. The prisoners and police refused to carry him. They dragged him over the ground to wherever they wanted him. His toe-nails had fallen off, and his entire body was wrapped in gauze. He cannot move or eat on his own. He developed a fear of being dragged by prisoners (for example, sometimes they dragged him to the bathroom, and left him there). He could not eat. Once, he was starved for fifteen days, causing his health to deteriorate even further.

When the wound on his neck showed signs of healing, the prisoners tore the gauze off and the scar opened up again. The wound bled again. This was done repeatedly. Every time the wound showed signs of healing, they cruelly pulled off the gauze and tore open the scar. Therefore, during those two years, the wound on his neck did not heal. Mr. Wang was bedridden for the entire two years.

Wang Liangjun did not give in to the evil. He said, "The wounds on my body do not matter. I am content that I validated Dafa." He and the other practitioners continued to clarify the truth wherever they were detained.

When he was asked later about his thoughts in prison, Mr. Wang said that he always thought of Teacher. When lying on the bed and in great pain, he felt that Teacher adjusted his body. "Without Teacher, I would have died a long time ago." His eyes were full of tears as he spoke.

This man had suffered such cruel tortures. But, when he talked about the persecution, he didn't weep. Yet, when he mentioned Teacher, he couldn't help crying. He said that without our merciful Teacher's protection, he would not have left the prison alive.

In September 2004, when the Liupanshui City police picked up Wang Liangjun to bring him home, he still was unable to stand. On his way back to Liupanshui City, his wounds were still bleeding.

Now, the many scars on Wang Liangjun's body and his swollen and bloody toes give the lie to Jiang's claim that this is "the best period" in the history of China's human rights.
