New Zealand: Introducing Falun Dafa on the North Island, Part 2 (Photos)
By Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand
(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of 2005, just after New Year's Day,
Falun Gong practitioners from the North Island of New Zealand traveled to the
south of Auckland on a four-day trip to introduce Falun Gong. On the way,
practitioners held an anti-torture exhibit and a photo exhibit. Their activities
caught local people's attention, and five media outlets came to interview
practitioners. One of them was a live broadcast at a radio station. During the trip, practitioners passed through ten cities and towns and many
villages. They distributed about 4,000 truth clarification flyers. They also
traveled to places where no Falun Gong practitioners have ever been before.
Practitioners reenacted the brutal tortures Falun Gong practitioners have been
subjected to in China. Some people did not know why Jiang's regime persecutes
Falun Gong. After learning the truth, people signed the petition to support
opposing the persecution. One practitioner had never been to a small town before. Shortly after he
stopped the car, a man came out of his courtyard. After learning the facts about
Falun Gong, he asked for many flyers and said, "I'll send them to my
friends. I want to do so from the bottom of my heart." When the
practitioner finished distributing his materials and came back to get his car,
the man came out of his courtyard again and asked the practitioner to come into
his home to teach him the exercises. Afterwards, he asked for more materials. A woman who lives in Auckland obtained truth clarification materials at a
small town over 100 miles away. She came to the practice site in Auckland to
learn the exercises and bought a copy of the English version of Falun Gong.
