Australian Practitioners Clarify the Truth in Manhattan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) One day shortly after the 2005 New Year, a young New Yorker came to the practitioners' petition table and signed his name on the petition in support of Falun Dafa without asking any questions. After signing the petition, he told practitioners that he just made a trip to China. In Beijing, he said that Chinese policemen followed him whenever he went to exercise in public places. He said, "I didn't have any fear. If the Chinese policemen dared to arrest me, then let the whole world see what the Chinese government has been doing."

After seeing Falun Gong materials on the streets in Manhattan, and after his experience in China, he completely believes that the persecution of Falun Gong in China is true. Therefore, he came here especially to support practitioners.

There have also been a number of kind-hearted people who have wanted to donate money to show their sympathy and support for practitioners. Practitioners always tell them, "Thank you very much for your kindness, however, we don't take donations."

On January 7, several practitioners were scheduled to leave New York and go back to Australia. In the morning, we went to the Chinese Consulate in New York to send forth righteous thoughts and do the exercises. Once we arrived there, we felt extraordinarily cold. It was indeed much colder than anywhere else in the city! Though we were all shaking because of the cold, we finished the four standing exercises. This experience reminded us of Master's recent teaching in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York:" "The Dafa disciples that have sat in front of the New York Consulate know that it was the coldest place, and our Dafa disciples have really endured a lot over these years." The practitioners who have been continuously conducting appeals over the past years are really admirable.

To let the white-collar workers in Manhattan know the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, we went to subway stations every morning during the rush hour to distribute truth clarification materials. As it is very cold in winter, many people are reluctant to take their hands out of their pockets to take the fliers. We constantly send righteous thoughts, and also try to distribute fliers in places sheltered from the wind. As New Yorkers are so busy and always walk fast, to attract their attention, we repeatedly say, "Falun Gong," while holding out the materials. In this way, they at least hear the name of Falun Gong even if they don't take the materials. We sincerely hope that this will help them to build a good foundation for learning more about the truth in the future.
