Updated Information About Recently Arrested Falun Gong Practitioners in Jilin City, Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Listed below is updated information about Falun Gong practitioners who were abducted and persecuted in Jilin City during November and December of 2004.

1. Ms. Bai Shufen, more than 50 years old, lives near Tianjin Street. She was illegally arrested in November and interrogated up to 4 times in a single day.

2. Ms. Li Xueqin is more than 40 years old. On November 22nd while she was shopping for vegetables, the police from Dongdatan Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home. On November 23rd, Li Xueqin was transferred to Jilin City's 3rd Detention Center where she was cuffed for a whole night to the point that her hands were severely swollen and she could not move them. After being detained for 13 days, she was sentenced to a forced labor camp. Li Xueqin's daughter's phone number: 86-432-7821798.

3. Ms. Bai Yanmei was abducted by authorities from the Taishan Street Police Station on November 23rd and sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was also abducted by the Taishan Street Police on a previous occasion. At that time, a policeman whipped her body with a metal bicycle lock chain. Bai Yanmei's chest was beaten so savagely that it swelled terribly and one could not bear to see it. The police tried to send her to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, but they did not accept her because of the severe chest injury.

4. Ms. Xie Guihua was abducted by authorities of the Taishan Street Police Station in Fengman District, Jilin City on November 29th, 2004 and her home was ransacked. After 15 days, she was sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

5. Ms. Du Xiujin, more than 40 years old, was arrested by the local police. Later she was sent to the 3rd Detention Center of Jilin City and detained for over 10 days. On December 17th, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

6.7. Ms. Zhang Xiaoling, more than 30 years old, and Ms. Ma, over 40 years old, were reported to and subsequently arrested by the local police as they distributed materials to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. In late November, they were sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

8. Ms. Ji Yuqiong, over 50 years old, has experienced a difficult financial situation in her family. After she was arrested she told police that "Falun Dafa is good." The police then extorted money from her family. It is said she has been sentenced to one year of forced labor.

9. Ms. Xu Chunyan, about 40 to 50 years old, was illegally arrested from her home by the Tuchengzi Police. Around 3 o'clock on the afternoon of January 5th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Yin Fuying from Fengman District of Jilin City was arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. She is now detained in the 3rd Detention Center of Jilin City. Currently the police of the 3rd Detention Center of Jilin City tortures those Falun Gong practitioners who insist on doing the Falun Gong exercises by cuffing their hands and feet together. After being cuffed in this way, the victim won't be able to take care of his or her activities of everyday life and will feel extreme pain.
