(Clearwisdom.net) I want to say this from the bottom of my heart: "Falun Dafa has given me a brand new life!" I am a fifty-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Sichuan Province. I started practicing Falun Dafa in July 1998.

I was diagnosed with lupus in April 1982. This is a rare disease and very difficult to treat. I was literally sentenced to death at age thirty. I tried everything possible to re-gain my health. At the time, my child was only nine years old. And also, I had a husband, parents, brothers and family. I wanted to challenge the disease! So I was running between different hospitals for healing, but my health was getting worse instead of better. In 1984, I developed chronic bronchitis, which became increasingly severe, and by 1992 I developed full-blown emphysema.. I was not able to stop coughing, to sleep or to walk short distances. I could not even walk up one flight of stairs without losing my breath. I took more medicine than food every day. I started having stomach problems in 1986. During the past sixteen years, I tried every regimen and even went to temples to pray. I went to different qigong classes for healing and fitness, but nothing worked. I just bemoaned the fact that I had such a bad life.

During those days of suffering, I often wept with grief alone. It is hard to express how this illness tormented me and ruined my life for sixteen years. Just when I was tormented almost to death, I was fortunate to obtain Dafa. This was the day I would remember forever!

I went to visit a friend in July 25, 1998. She was listening to the audiotape of Master Li's Lectures in Jinan. After a short while of listening I felt very comfortable; a warm sensation enveloped my body. I had never felt so refreshed in my whole life. I felt comfortable even just listening for a short while. I immediately asked her to get the Dafa books for me. From that point on, I read and studied the Fa and exercised every day. The purification of my body started a week later. I had diarrhea for several days. I had a toothache and went to the dentist, who pulled my teeth (my understanding of Fa was not deep yet), but nothing went right. I did not take the prescription and medicine and went home. The toothache was just gone after my face was swollen for a few days. In March of 1999, I had another round of purification--stomachaches, diarrhea, coughing. I coughed up large amounts of white foamy mucous and blood and released large amount of blackish foul smelling liquid through diarrhea. My understanding of the Fa had improved so I endured and continued to study and exercise daily. This tribulation lasted about 10 days. Over the next few months, the change in my health was miraculous. Every day I grew stronger and the illness that had plagued me for over sixteen years disappeared without a trace. I can now walk, run, and climb stairs with ease.

I no longer need any medicine. I truly understand and enjoy what life has to offer without illness. More importantly, I understand the true meaning of life: when we abide by the universe characteristics of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" that Master Li taught us, consider others first in all situations, and become true practitioners, our illnesses will go away as we upgrade to higher levels.

I had to retired early because of my poor health. The yearly expense of my medicine was 10,000 yuan, and later exceeded 20,000 to 30,000 yuan. I was a burden to my workplace and my family. Now, I have very good health, and former co-workers are surprised by my change. They said it was unbelievable! My family members are all delighted by my experience and support me in my practice of Falun Dafa.

"Falun Dafa is great!" " Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are great!" Falun Dafa gave me a second life, saved my family and me. I am deeply grateful for Master's compassion, and for giving me the chance to practice Falun Dafa, which guides me along the path of returning to my original, true self.
