In May 2004, personnel from the 610 Office and the police station arrested Falun Gong practitioners Liang Loutu, Zheng Bao and Ke Zhengji from Maoming City and ransacked their homes. In August 2004 the practitioners were secretly sentenced as follows: Liang Loutu was sentenced to nine years, Zheng Bao seven years and Ke Zhengji seven years.

On the afternoon of September 18, 2004, practitioners Zhao Yunshan and Ms. Dong Linlin were arrested at their homes. Zhao Yunshan is now being held at Fushun City's Forced Labor Camp. Dong Linlin is being held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Dong Linlin was originally from Heilongjiang Province. She moved to Fushun City after getting married. Her husband is also a Dafa practitioner and was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment. His whereabouts are unknown.

On December 29, 2004, Tianhe District Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Shunying, an employee of Guangzhou City's Telecommunication Equipment Company, to seven years of imprisonment.

For several months, police haven't allowed family members to visit Zhang Shunying. They even forbade them to talk while in court. Her family members stood close to her and could see that she seemed dazed and gaunt and she was quivering all the time. The only sentence she said that they could hear was, "I don't obey. The government deceived me."

The whole court hearing process took just a few minutes. The court didn't allow any defense. The judge only said that she can appeal in ten days and immediately closed the court.

Another practitioner, Li Yongjun, was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in the same court on December 23, 2004.

On December 27, 2004 practitioner Mr. Wu Yuecheng, in his 50's, was arrested while making some Dafa truth-clarifying materials in the Diyitan District. He is now being held at Dianbai City's Detention Center.

On December 27, 2004, practitioner Ms. Yang Qiujuan, 34 years old, was arrested while making some Dafa truth-clarifying materials in Diyitan District. She is now being held at Dianbai City's Detention Center.

On December 14, 2004, practitioner Wang Yuxian from the 420 Factory was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials on Jianshe Road and was later transferred to the Shuanglin Police Station. Her/his home was ransacked right away.

On the morning of October 11, 2004, practitioner Mr. Zhang Zhengquan was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials on his way from Sansheng Town to Liuyin Town in the Beibei District, Chongqing. He is now being held at the Beibei District Detention Center.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Yang Lujia and Mr. Chen Yunlong are still being held in a Qiliyan "Monitored Cell." Ms. Wang Yanling from Zhengzhou City was arrested in September 2004 and is now being held at Zhengzhou City's No. 1 Detention Center in the No. 8 Section (now moved to the vicinity of the airport.) Wang Yanling has been on a hunger strike for over two months. Her life is in peril.

Practitioner Ms. Wen Xiuzhi from Chaoyang City clarified the truth of Dafa in a motor coach from Beipiao City to Chaoyang City. A policeman claimed from the National Security Team arrested her when the coach arrived at Chaoyang City's Hospital. Her whereabouts are unknown.

On December 9, 2004, practitioners Ms. Tang Fenglan, Mr. Zhao Hongxiang and Ms. Zhao Juan from the Xiloutian Mine, Pingzhuang, Yuanbaoshan District were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying brochures in Shanxi Province. On December 28 they were transferred back to the Pingzhuang Detention Center.

On September 21, 2004, authorities from the Pingshan Police Station, Cai, head of Pingshan Town Government, together with personnel from Pingshan Forestry & Medical Center arrested practitioner Ms. Jin Hailan from Acheng City when she was at work and put her into a brainwashing class. They took three practitioners away. Police prohibited Jin Hailan from sleeping and ordered many people to surround her and pressure her to write a Guarantee Statement against her will. After she was released on September 27, Jin Hailan told personnel of relevant units that the statements she wrote under pressure are void.

One day in the beginning of November 2004, a policeman by the last name of Zhao arrested Jin Hailan again and sent her to Acheng City's Detention Center. She hasn't been released to date.

On the afternoon of January 17, 2002, practitioner Mr. Zhang Haiduo from the Langfang District and another practitioner were sent to Tangshan City's Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp for a three-year-term. They were assigned to the "Stringently-Monitored-Team" under the charge of policeman Gao Jingwen. They were ordered to sign their names on a prepared Guarantee Statement, but refused and were thus badly beaten. Police ripped off all their clothes, tied them up with ropes and shocked them with electric batons.

Prisoners assigned to monitor them took turns beating them until the practitioners fainted; then they poured cold water on them. Every day they were forced to sit on a very narrow stool as punishment. Police urged prisoners who monitor them to burn the practitioners' hands and faces with cigarettes. They cuffed the practitioners' hands on chairs and stabbed their fingers with steel pins. They also put heavy logs on their legs and had prisoners stand on either end of the logs. The practitioners were tortured so badly with each incident that they lost consciousness. Their legs eventually became swollen and turned black and blue, and they couldn't walk. For a long time they required two people to drag them to the washroom and for meals. Even after seven or eight months they could only move little by little, but with great difficulty.

The two practitioners still refused to renounce Falun Gong. After being tortured for seven to eight months, they were transferred to the No. 5 Team to do forced labor.
