Little Huhu Misses His Parents, Who Are in Prison for Practicing Falun Gong (Photos)
By a practitioner in Mainland China (Clearwisdom.net) In April 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners Yu Chao and
Chu Tong, husband and wife from Tsinghua University, were sentenced to prison
for 9 and 11 years respectively for practicing Falun Gong. Currently, Yu Chao is
being held in the Qianjin Prison of Chadian Town, Tianjin City, and Chu Tong is
in the Female Prison of Beijing. The situation of their son, Yu Guizhen
(nickname Huhu), is described as follows: Practitioners Yu Chao and Chu Tong's son, Yu Guizhen Name: Yu Guizhen Father: Yu Chao, 33 years old (born in April, 1972), B.S. Degree from the
Precision Instrument Department of Tsinghua University in 1990. He was an
internet engineer. Mother: Chu Tong, 35 years old (born in September 1970), M.S. Degree from the
Micro-Electronics Department of Tsinghua University. She was a lecturer. Currently, Huhu is living with his grandparents. Huhu's mother and father were persecuted simply because of their belief in
"Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." Their family was torn
apart, their jobs were taken away, and they lost their freedom. Their child,
Huhu, is 7 years old now. From the day he was born, he has spent less than 2
years with his parents. Young Huhu often becomes sensitive and quiet, the result
of his parents being unjustly taken from him. Huhu's father, Yu Chao, was sent to a labor camp for one year because he held
up a banner to appeal for Falun Gong on Tiananmen Square in 2000. Huhu's mother,
Chu Tong, was arrested for appealing for Falun Gong at Tiananmen Square on
October 27, 1999. She was brutally beaten by police during her detention at
Section 7 of Beijing Public Security Bureau and was sentenced to prison for one
and a half years. After her release, she declared on the Minghui website
(Chinese version of Clearwisdom) that she would continue to practice Falun Gong.
In order to avoid further persecution, Huhu's parents were forced to give up
their jobs and leave their home altogether. However, the police continued to pursue them. Huhu's parents had no choice
but to send Huhu to a friend's home. While Chu Tong was leaving her friend's
house and saying goodbye to Huhu, he said, "Mommy, come back to pick me up
after the bad guys are gone." Around 6 p.m. on August 13, 2002, seven to eight police arrested the couple
on a public street. Yu Chao was seriously beaten during the arrest. They were
sent to the Beijing Legal System Center by the 610 Office and the National
Security Bureau for further persecution. Yu Chao went on a hunger strike to
protest his arrest, forced brainwashing and beatings by the police. The police
poked his eyes, tied him up on a board, and did not allow him to use the
restroom. He was tied on the board for five months. On February 21, 2003, Yu Chao and Chu Tong were served an arrest warrant
based on no legal grounds. On December 25 of the same year, the procurator of
Chaoyang District in Beijing City sued the couple. On January 9, 2004, a day
before the scheduled trial date, the People's Court of Chaoyang District
suddenly decided to change the time and place of the trial. During the trial,
many police and police cars were present and the atmosphere was very tense. On April 22, 2004, the People's Court of Chaoyang District sentenced Yu Chao
to 9 years and Chu Tong to 11 years in prison. They immediately appealed to the
Second Intermediate People's Court of Beijing. Around the end of June 2004, the
court decided to uphold the original sentences with no trial. At present, Yu Chao is incarcerated in Qianjin Prison of Chadian Town,
Tianjin City, and Chu Tong is being held in the Female Prison of Beijing City. Address of Qianjin Jail in Chadian Town, Tianjin City: Address of Female Jail of Beijing City: January 20, 2005
