Falun Gong Practitioner Sui Ruolan from Dalian Died as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sui Ruolan, 73 years old, lived at 1-2-3, Building 71, Changping Street, Shahekou District in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She was arrested and taken to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City in April 2003. She had been extremely weak since her release and passed away on March 18, 2004 after a long period of suffering.

Ms. Sui Ruolan had suffered many hardships and difficulties in her life and had been pestered by all kinds of illnesses. She started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996 and all her illnesses, including hypertension, heart disease, arthritis, nephritis as well as other disorders associated with old age disappeared as a result of the practice. She was illiterate, but after she started to practice Falun Dafa, she was able to read the book Zhuan Falun and enjoyed a life of good physical and mental health.

After the persecution began, Ms. Sui suffered long-term harassment and monitoring by the police, the street administration office and the neighbors. Many of her family members are also Dafa practitioners.

On April 24, 2003, Zhao Weidong, Xinggong Police Substation chief in the Shahekou District, Dalian City, together with policemen Xing Jihou, Sun, Liu and others as well as Sui Ruolan's neighbor Zhong Lianfeng (female) arrested Sui Ruolan and ransacked her house and her son's house. Her son managed to escape when they were being taken to the detention center. Sui Ruolan was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

Later, Sui Ruolan's health deteriorated and she became very weak. The doctor in the detention center gave her a check-up and found that her blood pressure was elevated and her heart was extremely fragile. In order to evade responsibility, the authorities sent her home. After she returned home, she remained in an extremely debilitated condition, suffering a lot of physical pain. Even so, the police, and people from the street administration office as well as the neighbors still kept harassing and monitoring her.

Sui Ruolan passed away on March 18, 2004, after a long period of suffering.
