Thoughts Related to a Folk Story: "Emperor Seeking Wisdom"

(Clearwisdom.net) One night an emperor had a dream that God gave him a sentence to be able to gain all the wisdom in the world. This sentence would enable a person not to lose courage and see hope during suffering. It would also allow a person during successful times to not be blinded by thoughts of pride and complacency, but be able to maintain rationality.

The emperor was very happy to hear that, but forgot the sentence after waking up. He ordered all the wise men in the nation to find this sentence for him.

These great intellects finally found the sentence after carefully research and discussion: "All of this will pass."

This story reminds me about cultivation. Won't all conflicts and unhappiness in our cultivation eventually disappear? The Falun Dafa cultivation environment is indeed a pure land, because we are all coming for the Fa, existing for the Fa. My personal understanding of this pure land is not that every disciple is void of attachments, or that every one of us has performed in a very noble and pure way at all times, because everyone's cultivation has a process. If our cultivation had no conflicts, would this be a good or bad thing? The negative aspects in a practitioner's cultivation process are not only for that disciple to see and remove, but also for other cultivators to be reminded to cultivate and upgrade themselves. All negative matter will disappear, because the new cosmos only allows the pure, assimilated beings. If cultivators are blocked by fellow practitioner's bad behavior, and become despondent, stop being diligent, then it would be difficult to eliminate their remaining negative matter. This is exactly because they are lacking understandings of the Fa principles and need to improve.

When facing conflicts, even if someone truly was wrong and exposed many of their own attachments, fellow practitioners still need to upgrade themselves. Only when they upgrade their level, can they play a positive role, benevolently resolve the environment, and mend or harmonize the loss that occurred due to the individual's mistakes.

Another truth is that every being on the earth, both ordinary people and Falun Dafa practitioners, are all Master's people. By Master bearing such an unimaginable amount, this has provided an extremely precious opportunity for all worldly people to be saved. By recognizing this fact during conflicts, one can be more clearheaded and less stubborn. We should understand that all the lives Master decides to save, no matter who they are, should not be mistreated. We should treat all with benevolent compassion, treasuring every being on earth.
