persecuted so severely that she now experiences periodic unconsciousness in
Dalian Detention Center, Liaoning Province, and the authorities are covering up
the facts of her case. On September 5, Ms. Sun's family members went to Dalian
Detention Center to visit her. At the gate, an officer (badge number 202707)
didn't want to tell them about her condition. Then he asked where Sun's family
had heard the news of her deteriorating condition, and he refused to let them
in. Her relatives said, "We are worried about her. If anything goes wrong,
you will be held responsible." The officer made an excuse for himself,
saying that he was only a gate guard and then let them proceed to the reception
desk. The guard there told them that Ms. Sun was fine, but her relatives
insisted on seeing her. The head gate guard said, "You must go to the unit
to talk about her case if you want to visit her, because the detention center
has set this rule." The police officer spoke very rudely. When Ms. Sun's
relatives asked the general leader how the gate guard could talk to them that
way, the leader didn't say anything. When the relatives called, the female
police officer responsible for Ms. Sun's cell claimed that she was in good
condition. We hope that the Falun Dafa practitioners in Dalian will use their righteous
thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind this and try their best to get Ms.
Sun Yan released by clarifying the truth. Ms. Sun Yan, 37, was a kindergarten teacher at the Dalian Oil Chemistry
Corporation. After she started practicing Falun Dafa, she did her best to be a
good person according to the requirements of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She received numerous awards for her hard
work as a teacher. However, after the government started suppressing Falun Gong,
Ms. Sun was wantonly persecuted. In April 2001, police officers Chen Xin and Lin
Song of the First Department of the Dalian Public Security Bureau tricked her
into coming to their office with the excuse of discussing the release of her
husband, who was detained there. Then they arrested Ms. Sun and sent her to
Yaojia Detention Center. She held a hunger strike and was handcuffed and
tortured. After she was persecuted to the verge of death, her family was allowed
to bail her out. In October 2001, less than half a year later, Ms. Sun was arrested again and
sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp, where she suffered all kinds of
terrible torture. On one occasion, she was put into an iron cage and bound
inside for three days. The guards encouraged criminal inmates to insert chili
pepper into her vagina and jabbed her vagina with a mop handle. They also pulled
a thick rope full of knots back and forth against her vagina, causing severe
swelling and profuse bleeding. As a result of this malicious torture, she had
trouble urinating and lost the ability to walk normally for a year. In November
2003, Ms. Sun was sent to Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning
Province. On April 5, 2003, team leaders Ma Wei and Zeng Xiaoping and Bi Yinhong
of the administration department struck her head with two electric batons. Then
she was deprived of sleep for eight days, leading to unconsciousness and a
coma-like state. In June 2004, Ms. Sun was released but was arrested again before she had
recovered. On December 9, Chen Xin, the deputy leader of the national security
team, together with police officers Yu Jian, Cao Dexu and Wang Zhiyue, arrested
her when she was out looking for a job. The following day, she was put into
Yaojia Detention Center and imprisoned in the 8th Section. The court,
under the control of the authorities, secretly tried her on August 5 but didn't
announce her sentence in order to avoid public attention. Ms. Sun went on hunger strike to resist her arrest, and she has now become
extremely weak. Inside sources have said that Dalian National Security Team had
planed to arrest and imprison Mr. Sun Yan and her husband Lu Kaili for a long

persecution of these innocent citizens.
