(Clearwisdom.net) On April 1, 2005, steadfast Falun Gong practitioners were moved to and detained in the 1^st brigade on the 2^nd floor at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. There, the persecutors carried out the so-called "rigorous guarding" of the practitioners. Ms. Zhang Chungang from Dandong was one of the practitioners persecuted by the 1^st team of the 1^st brigade because she refused to wear the prison uniform, do the physical exercises and perform slave labor.

In the beginning of April 2005, under the command of Director Su Jing, the 1st Brigade Police Chief Li Mingyu, Xie Chengdong and others, Falun Gong practitioners who were on hunger strike were locked to the iron gate on the first floor and pricked with needles.

In late May, Ms. Zhang Chungang was brought to the first floor and forcibly injected with a needle because she went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. The prison doctor, Cao Yujie (female, around 50 years old) told Ms. Zhang, "You know, my vision is not good, and I can only feel by hand. So I'm not sure how many times it will take me to put the needle in! Quickly eat if you do not want to suffer!"

Between April and May of 2005, Ms. Zhang was emaciated, and her health condition was deteriorating. At around noon one day in May, Ms. Zhang's body suddenly went into spasms and her life was in danger. The perpetrators would not allow practitioners to see Ms. Zhang, so it's unsure whether she was eventually sent to the hospital for treatment.

One time, Ms. Zhang's body twitched many times in a row, yet the prison guards did not do anything. They treat a Falun Gong practitioner's life with indifference. In May 2005, Cui Hong, a policewoman from the 1^st brigade, said to the practitioners in the 2^nd team, "Unless you have cancer and are going to die, don't even think about going home!" Xie Chengdong, the Chief of police of the 1^st brigade said, "If you die from hunger striking, then you die in vain. Even though you are dead, we still won't let you go home." When a practitioner is in critical condition from being cruelly forced-fed and beaten, the 1st brigade police chief Li Mingyu would watch on the side, and say, "It's all right, you won't die!" On April 7, 2005, Panjin Dafa practitioner Li Baojie lost consciousness from the barbaric force-feeding in the 1^st team of the 1^st brigade, and passed away on the following day.

Yang Yaqin is the chief police on duty in charge of monitoring practitioners in critical condition. Once, he was on duty when Ms. Zhang Chungang started twitching. In June of 2005, when Yang Yaqin was supervising practitioners that were being injected with needles and persecuted in other ways on the 1^st floor, he said, "Zhang Chungang's symptom is too severe, too dangerous." Still, Ms. Zhang Chungang is still being tortured in Masanjia.
