Australia: Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate Apple Festival and Clarify the Truth in Sydney (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 15, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Sydney, Australia were invited to participate in the annual Apple Festival in Eastwood. In the grand parade procession, the Falun Gong practitioners' contingent was prominent. A banner reading "Falun Dafa" in English was at the front, followed by waist drummers and practitioners in Tang Dynasty costumes who were elegantly dancing. A float designed by practitioners followed. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises on the float, and many onlookers enthusiastically waved to the practitioners. At the end of the contingent were practitioners holding pink fans and performing dances of celestial maidens. They formed a variety of designs with the fans, winning rounds of applause from the audience.

In addition, practitioners also participated in a stage performance. Western practitioners sang songs composed by Dafa practitioners. The practitioners' exercise demonstration and dancing drew many people's attention.

At the booth, practitioners introduced to the local people what Falun Gong is and about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party. Many people learned about the facts and signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering persecution in China. Some people requested many post cards calling for an end to the persecution and expressed that they would send them to the Prime Minister. Some other people bought Falun Dafa books, asked for information about practice sites, and expressed their wishes to learn Falun Dafa.
