(Clearwisdom.net) Some fellow practitioners who have recently read Teacher's new article, "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be," (October 8, 2005) were shocked, and have woken up to realize their despondent situations. They have become more diligent and worked harder in doing the three things well. But after a period of time, since they have been busy delivering truth clarification materials, talking to people about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, clarifying the facts, and sending forth righteous thoughts, they tend to ignore the importance of Fa study, and use the excuses of "too busy," "too tired," "no time," and so on. They stopped attending group Fa study and could not guarantee personal Fa study time either.

Fellow practitioners, Fa study is the basis of everything. We should be diligent in our Fa study. Teacher has told us,

"No matter how difficult your environment is, no matter how busy you get, you cannot forget to study the Fa. You must study the Fa, because it is the absolute, most fundamental guarantee of your improvement. I can't meet with every student, especially with the current situation in Mainland China. And under these circumstances where our students aren't able to see me, they can't come find Master whenever there's an issue, so they can only take the Fa as the Master. And in order to enable you to do cultivation practice and improve, I've infused this Fa throughout with every element that can enable a person to improve and ascend through cultivation. As long as you study, any problem can be solved. As long as you cultivate and as long as you're able to understand the Fa from the Fa, there's nothing you can't achieve." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A., December 29, 2001")

I have written this article because I myself learned a lesson regarding this issue in the past, and it is Fa study that elevated my state. After I was sent home from the forced labor camp, for a period of time, I felt confused and hesitant. I tried to do the three things well, but I often tended to fall into a human state of mind and I was unable to do well. In July of 2005, through a fellow practitioners' introduction, I met a practitioner who later became my girlfriend. When we first met, I felt that I was far behind her in terms of levels, because her words were always in line with the Fa. In our later meetings, she led me to have discussions with fellow practitioners, take part in experience sharing conferences, and join group Fa-study. During that period of time, my fears, many attachments and my shortcomings were revealed. When we are together, she studies the Fa, recites the Fa or sends forth righteous thoughts together with me. She always points out my problems as soon as she sees them. She also corrected my inaccurate hand gestures in sending forth righteous thoughts. Every time I met with her for that period of time, I would study the Fa diligently and make progress rapidly. I have changed from validating myself to validating the Fa; from selfish thinking to putting others first. Now my girlfriend and I remind each other every day at 4 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. via cell phone to start sending forth righteous thoughts or do the exercises. It's Fa-study that changed and rectified me.

Most practitioners know the preciousness of cultivation and the urgency of time. Teacher has told us,

"So many years have passed over the course of history, the Three Realms have existed for so long, and so many sentient beings have come here over time, but all hopes are being placed in this one moment out of all the ages. This instant is precious beyond measure. Completing the last leg of this journey well is what's most magnificent." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago, June 26, 2005")

But there are still some practitioners who waste time. When meeting with other practitioners, they are still fond of gossiping or complaining. Some practitioners talk about things irrelevant to cultivation, or waste time in doing useless things instead of studying the Fa with a tranquil mind.

Veteran practitioners all remember how practitioners studied the Fa and shared experiences with each other before July 20, 1999, when the persecution started. With the current situation, shouldn't we still seriously discuss and share with fellow practitioners our personal cultivation experiences? Shouldn't fellow practitioners also remind each other to study the Fa whenever we meet? Fellow practitioners, please pay attention to Fa-study.
