Only by Eliminating Fundamental Attachments, Can We Step Forward from Humanness

(Clearwisdom.net) I'd like to discuss the issue of fundamental attachments with fellow practitioners in order to improve as one whole body. A while ago, after I studied the Fa, I thought about what the real reason was for me to step forward to validate Dafa. I remembered in the year 2001, I read a letter to encourage diligence in a practitioner. The content of the letter was approximately as follows, "Let ordinary people understand the truth in order to avoid their being eliminated, since there is no place for them to stay in the future universe if they oppose the laws that create the universe." When I understood this, I thought, "I have to clarify the truth to ordinary people in order to let them be saved during Fa-rectification." This was the fundamental reason for me to step forward.

Fellow practitioners, we should now all think about why we step forward. What was the real purpose for us to step forward the first time? If it were not to save people or appeal for Dafa, but was for ourselves not to fall behind in Fa-rectification, for our own consummation, or for showing off, our thoughts for stepping forward were just human attachments. Now we should really think about whether we have truly given up ordinary people's thoughts, including in terms of such issues as why we started to learn Dafa or why we are still practicing Dafa.

From 1999 to now, the old forces have never stopped persecuting us, using the excuse of our fundamental attachments. We always focus on how we are persecuted. If we could find and give up our fundamental attachments, the evil would disintegrate quickly.

Master clearly pointed out the problem of fundamental attachments in the article, "Towards Consummation":

Some overseas practitioners may think that the environment in China could make practitioners here give up all ordinary people's attachments. This is true, in that the situation in Mainland China can indeed really make practitioners give up these attachments. However, this is the most confusing point. When practitioners feel that they can let go of the thought of life and death, they may feel that they have cultivated well. Therefore, the road to eliminate their fundamental attachments was blocked and practitioners could not find the fundamental problems that they hold so tightly to.

I think if we study the Fa diligently, Dafa will point out these problems to us. We cannot do Dafa things without studying the Fa every day.
