Elderly Parents Try to Rescue Incarcerated Daughter (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Lijuan from Jilin City was illegally arrested on August 24, 2005. Her parents, both in their 80s, are going to various authorities trying to rescue her. She is still being held in detention.

At 8:00 a.m. on September 21, 2005, Ms. Yang Lijuan's parents went to the Jilin City Police Department and asked to see Di Shigang, the officer who had arrested their daughter. Both the National Security Division officers at the police department and the heads of the police department refused to meet with the elderly couple and falsely claimed that Di Shigang was not present. After repeated requests from Ms. Yang's parents, a man who called himself "Yang Wei" from the National Security Division at the City Police Department came out to see the couple at 10:00 a.m. The elderly couple said, "Di Shigang from Division 3 of the National Security Division arrested our daughter. We want to speak with him, because we heard that our daughter was shocked in an electric chair, had bamboo sticks hammered into her fingers and was force-fed water. We want to see our daughter." Yang Wei said, "People from Shuangji Police Department arrested your daughter. They are personally responsible. You have to go to them and get a permit to meet with your daughter before going to the detention center. There is no point in seeing Di Shigang. Besides, he has been transferred to another place." When asked to where Di Shigang was transferred, Yang Wei refused to answer.

The current condition of Ms.Yang Lijuan's father

Ms. Yang's father became very excited at the police department, and his family was afraid he would suffer a relapse of his old illness. Yang Wei was afraid of being held responsible should anything happen to Yang Lijuan's father, so he repeatedly told the man and his wife not to come to the police department again. The couple then went to Shuangji Police Department, where the authorities admitted to arresting Ms. Yang Lijuan, and that they were handling her case. However, the case had been transferred to the Changyi Police Department. They told the family to go to Yang Jianxin at the Changyi Police Department. The phone number is 86-432-2485263. They said, "The city police department is really irresponsible. They are evading their responsibility after they did something bad."

The authorities at the Shuangji Police Department told Ms. Yang's father to wait at home because his daughter would be released on September 24 after one month of detention.

On September 23, Ms. Yang's parents went to the No. 3 Detention Center in Jilin City and requested to see their daughter. A female guard named Xing said the head of the detention center would not allow them to meet with Ms. Yang, "because of the law." When Ms. Yang's father insisted on seeing her, the authorities arranged for them to see her from about 50 feet away. Yang Lijuan's father has poor eyesight and can only see things about five inches away, so he could not see his daughter at all. They could not verify whether or not Ms. Yang had been tortured in detention.

Ms. Yang Lijuan has been illegally detained for one month. According to insiders, the persecutors have applied twice for her to be sentenced to forced labor but did not receive approval. Yang Lijuan was nevertheless sent to a forced labor camp on the afternoon of September 26.
