(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Jiang Yunhong from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province had been under cruel torture, interrogations, and torment ever since the local police abducted him in July 2005. He is now in critical condition and is unable to take care of himself. He is currently detained at the Qingyang District Hospital in Chengdu City, a hospital that has participated in torture and been responsible for the resulting deaths of many Dafa practitioners.

Mr. Jiang Yunhong, 37, was an engineer working at the Chengdu Air Compressor Factory. He was sentenced to a labor camp twice after the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999. He was abducted many times, each time suffering torture and cruelty. He was dismissed from his job and his local residence registration was revoked.

On July 22, 2005, Jiang Yunhong visited another Dafa practitioner, Yuan Bing. Less than 15 minutes later a group of local police deputies broke in and took him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Chengdu City. Jiang Yunhong has been on hunger strike ever since to protest and resist the persecution.

Starting at midnight on July 22, the police started torturing and interrogating him. The police handcuffed his hands to both sides of a chair, and forced him to sit on the chair without sleep for 6-7 days. Every minute or two the police beat him. From time to time they kicked him, punched him, or slashed his eyes with rough paper sticks. They also poured cold water over him to keep him constantly soaked.

The National Security Brigade of the Chengdu City Public Security Bureau and the 610 Office deputies joined the torture after 2-3 days. They beat him more savagely than mere punching and kicking. They applied various macabre methods of handcuffing him, causing Jiang to pass out several times. The persecutors tried hard to find the most painful way to handcuff his hands from behind the chair, then pulled his head back while striding on his cuffed hands, causing severe pain to his hands and wrists. Very soon his wrists were swollen and bleeding. One policeman scratched, pulled, and pinched Jiang's leg and punched his thigh. He even used his knee to press against Jiang's thigh, and stomp on Jiang's thigh, again inflicting severe pain.

After more than two months of inhumane torture, Jiang Yunhong could no longer take care of himself. He is detained at the Number 4 bed, on the fourth floor at the Qingyang District Hospital in Chengdu City.

Qingyang District Hospital is the designated hospital of the Chengdu City Detention Center and is in fact a site where Dafa practitioners are tortured. Many Dafa practitioners were force-fed and injected with nerve damaging drugs at this hospital. More than 10 Dafa practitioners were tortured to death by staff of the Chengdu City Detention Center and the Qingyang District Hospital.
