Changing Human Notions

(Clearwisdom.net) I practiced for almost 10 years but was still unable to get rid of human notions. Therefore, I have had an arduous journey: going from a labor camp to a detention center and then a mental hospital. Almost every step was marked by blood and pain.

I did not regain my freedom until last year. When I first went out to clarify the truth, I always felt nervous, as if someone were following me. Although to some extent I was able to let go of life and death, I still kept thinking about how to avoid confronting the evil, rather than fundamentally opposing and disintegrating it.

One day when sharing understandings with a fellow practitioner, I said that the evil was watching me all the time. She said: "Why do you always keep thinking and thinking about the evil? What should be on our minds are Teacher, Fa-rectification, and eliminating the evil. By sending forth righteous thoughts, we can eliminate any evil. Realizing that Teacher is doing the Fa- rectification in the entire cosmos, all the impure elements will be disintegrated. This is the process of changing human notions. Only by keeping our every thought righteous can we keep up with the Fa-rectification."

Upon hearing those words, I suddenly felt I had done very poorly in the past. No wonder I suffered so much but did not cultivate well, while others suffered much less and cultivated much better. The key is that they have fundamentally changed their human notions.

Since then, whenever I arrive somewhere, I remind myself that Teacher is doing the Fa-rectification in the entire cosmos and everything impure should be rectified. Then I send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil, and the truth-clarification becomes much smoother. Whenever something comes up or there are some impure thoughts in my mind, I immediately correct it and send forth righteous thoughts. I feel that anything impure in my thoughts is disintegrated, and many tribulations become much easier to endure. Little by little, I have started to have some feelings of being immersed in the Fa.

I would like to thank Teacher for using fellow practitioners to remind me and ask me to fundamentally get rid of my human notions. Although I was not enlightened on my own, I would like to write this down and share with my fellow practitioners, so that we can all keep up our righteous thoughts and righteous actions. Please kindly point out anything improper.
