Mr. Chen Jiansheng Tortured to Death at the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 11, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Jiansheng from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province was tortured to death in Zaozihe Labor Camp. His family was ordered not to hold a memorial or a funeral.

Mr. Chen Jiansheng was 49 years old and was an employee of the Xi'an City Industrial and Commercial Bank. He began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. As a result, all of his ailments disappeared and he benefited from the practice both mentally and physically. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Chen was arrested and detained in brainwashing centers many times because he refused to give up his belief in Dafa.

On December 23, 2004, Chen Jiansheng was arrested while distributing truth clarifying materials in a crowded shopping area. The police ransacked his home and took away his computer and other valuable items. After being detained in a detention center for more than a month, Mr. Chen was sentenced to 18 months in the notorious Shaanxi Province Zaozihe Labor Camp. To protest the persecution, Chen Jiansheng started a hunger strike after the Mid-Autumn Festival (October 6, 2005), and was tortured to death on October 11, 2005.

The main responsible persons for Mr. Chen Jiansheng's death are: Zaozihe Labor Camp Director, Zhang Shilu (male); and Brainwashing Center Head, Feng Xiyao (male, who often beats practitioners, and encourages others to torture practitioners; Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yao Jingmin was also killed at his hands).
