An Urgent Appeal to Rescue Qiao Zhongjin, a Dafa Practitioner from Chaoyang City

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Qiao Zhongjin, a Dafa practitioner from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, has been in Jinzhou Prison suffering for a long time. He has been subjected to brainwashing classes and physical torture. In addition, he is forced to perform forced labor for long hours each day. The numerous tortures that Mr. Qiao has endured have steadily deteriorated his physical condition. Now he has severe tuberculosis pleurisy, which causes his chest to retain water, making it very difficult to breathe. His face has become swollen. It takes Mr. Qiao tremendous effort just to walk. His weight has dropped from 198 pounds to 110 pounds. Qiao Zhongjin's life is currently in danger.

Qiao Zhongjin, 41 years old, lives in Songzhangzi Village, Wanshou City, Jianping County. On April 3, 2004, Qiao Zhongjin and his wife were illegally arrested by policemen from the Longcheng District Chaoyang City Police Station. Officer Huang Dianxiang was among those arresting the couple. Mr. Qiao's wife, Fu Minling, was taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City for a three-year illegal labor camp term. Qiao Zhongjin was sent to the Jianping County Detention Center for further persecution. A few days later, he was transferred to the Wujiawa Detention Center in Chaoyang City, where he suffered severe persecution. His whole body became swollen and many parts of his body were severely damaged. His weight dropped rapidly too. In February 2005, staff member Tan Fujun and others from Shuangta District, Chaoyang City, illegally sentenced Qiao Zhongjin to ten years and sent him to the Jinzhou Prison.

According to someone in the prison's management department, "Qiao Zhongjin's illness is very severe. Normally a person would be allowed out on bail for medical treatment, but the prison doesn't want to release him since he hasn't given up his belief." Instead, the prison organized four people to take turns monitoring Qiao Zhongjin around the clock.

Qiao Zhongjin's relatives are trying all avenues to rescue him out of the prison as soon as possible.
