Philadelphia, U.S.A.: Practitioners Invited to Perform in Chrysanthemum Festival (Photos)
By a practitioner in Philadelphia
(Clearwisdom.net) On November 6, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners were
invited to perform at the Chrysanthemum Festival held at the renowned Longwood
Gardens near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In front of the chrysanthemum exhibition garden and beside the Main Fountain
Garden, practitioners from Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware performed on
traditional Chinese waist drums and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. The
weather was very nice. In the beautiful flower garden, the audience enjoyed the
performance and the exercise demonstration. Mary, one of the viewers, said,
"Wonderful performance! Beautiful." Many viewers imitated the
practitioners' hand gestures in the exercise demonstration. Ms. Yang at the Falun Gong booth said, "As soon as our exercise
demonstration was finished, many viewers came up to ask for information and buy
books, CDs and exercise instruction tapes. I was touched to see so many people
eager to learn Dafa and the facts about the persecution." A gentleman who was over 70 years old stopped by and asked, "Do you
accept credit cards?" He had only $20 in cash and held two Dafa books to
buy. One of the practitioners thought that it wouldn't be right to miss an
opportunity with a predestined person, and paid for the books for him. Another gentleman said excitedly while hearing the Dafa music, "I have
been looking for this music. I did not find it in Chinatown after searching all
over. I'm finally hearing the music that I was looking for." One woman asked for some truth-clarification literature and said
she wanted to give it to her friends, including three Chinese friends. A young man said, "I read the literature in New York. Please give me
more and I'll give it to my friends." A Chinese visitor, who was around 60 years old, said out loud, "I know
Falun Dafa is good, very good. Falun Gong practitioners are good people. But
they are being mistreated [in China]. This will be changed. Otherwise,
where is the heavenly principle?"
