By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Washington State
(Clearwisdom.net) On the weekend of October 21-22, 2005, the Falun Dafa booth was one of the
busiest places at the Holistic Fair in Asotin, Washington. The truth about Dafa has touched the hearts of many people in
this community.
Falun Dafa introductory session with exercise instruction was held.
The people who attended the session were quite interested in
the introduction about Dafa and were very sincere about learning the
exercises. Many people come to the Holistic Fair to learn the truth about Falun Dafa
One man had a dream in which he heard the rather unusual name of
the practitioner who
presented the introduction, and then a few days later received a
promotional brochure with her name in it. He said he thought that was a
clear indication that he'd better come to find out what it was about. He
drove for over an hour, bringing his mother, wife, and two teen-aged
children. They all attended the introduction session, then later
came to the booth to talk for quite a while. The wife sat in the
booth for over an hour
reading the display copy of Falun Gong.
One woman who has Multiple Sclerosis stood without her cane to do the
exercises, and some very senior citizens also joined, learning
how Dafa will promote flexibility very rapidly. This year there were many
people who were somewhat aware of the persecution, and they had a lot of
questions about it. People just cannot understand how the Chinese
Communist Party can persecute such a harmless and good hearted group of
people. They are so stunned as they find out more facts. One kind lady asked. "What can I do to help?" Then she answered her own
question, "I can hold them in my heart, in the Light". One gentleman had previously learned about Dafa in
Montana, and devoted quite a lot of energy explaining the benefits of
Dafa to one of the other fellows who was in the booth.
Many people come to this event just to learn about Dafa, as
the event is well publicized throughout the area. The people who attended the session came because they knew before hand and wanted to
learn, rather than just wandering in from curiousity. Some of these
people had come to the booth on Friday and came back to learn, others
had learned about the intro from promotional materials. The Holistic Fair has been an effective introduction and showcase for
Falun Dafa in this area for the past few years, and we believe that this year
the effect was far more powerful than previous years.
