Doctor Liu Boyang Tortured to Death by Changchun Kuancheng District Public Security Sub-Bureau

Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Boyang was a doctor at the Qianwei Hospital in Jilin Province. On the afternoon of October 28, 2005, Liu Boyang and his mother Wang Shouhui delivered Falun Gong truth-clarification material to a practitioner's home. They were followed, illegally arrested and detained at the Changchun Kuancheng District Public Security Sub-bureau. He and his mother were tortured and Liu Boyang died from the torture at 8 p.m. that night.

Because his family members were looking for those responsible in Liu's death, an autopsy was performed. It was found that his entire body was bruised and there were several holes in his body. The autopsy results indicate that he was beaten cruelly and then thrown downstairs. The District Public Security Sub-bureau staff claimed it to be "suicide by jumping from upstairs."

Mr. Liu Boyang, 29, was a CT section doctor at Qianwei Hospital in Jilin Province. He began to practice Falun Dafa with his parents in1995. After July 20, 1999, police from the Zhengyang local police station and the Zhengyang residents' committee in Luyuan District harassed Liu Boyang many times when he was at home. Liu Boyang's mother Wang Shouhui went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in October 1999 and February 2000. She was arrested, detained and sent to a forced labor camp. She suffered torture at Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. She was beaten with an electric baton eight times and tortured on the Death Bed many times. She was even tied up on the bed and tortured with two electric batons simultaneously over an hour at one time. Her entire body and face were injured. She was critically ill due to persecution.

On March 16, 2002, police of 4^th squadron of the criminal brigade in Luyuan District arrested Liu Boyang and attempted to find his parents. But, they did not succeed. Therefore, they detained Liu Boyang at Zhengyang Local Police Station. On the second day, Liu Boyang was taken to the Daguang Detention Center and held for 15 days. After Liu Boayang was released, and the minute he got out of the police car at the gate of his workplace, personnel from the Changchun City Security Bureau covered his face and arrested him again. They handcuffed him, held him in a room at the Security Bureau and interrogated him by torture for three days and nights.

On June 27, 2002, Liu Boyang and his parents were again arrested by staff from the politics and protection section of Luyuan District's Public Security Sub-bureau and taken to Zhengyang Local Police Station. Politics and protection section chief Zhu Zhishan ordered police officer Yuan Dachuan to interrogate Liu Boyang by torture. Several police officers brutally tortured Liu Boyang, punched and kicked him, slapped his face with shoes, tied him with ropes, covered his head with a plastic bag, tortured him with the "Big Hang Up," cuffed his arms behind his back, hung him up in the air, and swung his body or pulled his feet downwards. At that time, Yuan Dachuan announced: "I have already tortured a few Falun Gong practitioners to death, I do not need to bear any responsibility if I kill you! "Liu Boyang's entire body sweated profusely, and his hands were numb for a long time. After Liu Boyang was tortured to near death, he was sent to Tiebei Detention Center and held for four months. Liu Boyang's mother Wang Shouhui was set free after she had been tortured and was near death.

On October 29, 2002, Liu Boyang was sent to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City for two years of forced labor. In December, guards made him sit on the icy-cold cement floor for an entire day, deprived him of sleep, and tried to brainwash him. He was due to be released in June 2004, but the forced labor camp refused to release him They extended his term 47 days with some kind of excuse.

On August 17, 2004, staff from the Zhengyang residents' committee, Luyuan District 610 Office and two policemen of the Zhengyang local police station took Liu Boyang to the Zhengyang local police station, and tried to make him write the guarantee statement. Liu Boyang refused. Therefore, they tried to send him to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center for further persecution, and extorted a 700 yuan fee monthly from Liu Boyang's family. Later Liu Boyang escaped with righteous thoughts.

At 4:20 p.m. on October 28, 2005, Liu Boyang and his mother Wang Shouhui were followed when they were delivering informational material to a practitioner's home. They were arrested at the practitioner's home and detained at the Kuancheng District Public Security Sub-bureau. Police tortured mother and son, and Liu Boyang died at 8 p.m. that same night.

Another Dafa practitioner, Liu Haibo, 34, a CT section doctor at Luyuan District Hospital in Changchun City was arrested at home by police from the Kuancheng District Public Security Sub-bureau on March 11, 2002. He was tortured to death in the office of the sub-bureau that same night.

On March 18, 2002, practitioner Liu Yi, 34, was killed by staff from the criminal police brigade of Luyuan District Public Security Sub-bureau in Changchun City. Shen Jianli, 34, a teacher of the Applied Math Faculty in Jilin University was arrested on March 6, 2002, and tortured to death by the local police at the end of April.
