North Carolina, USA: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Christmas Parade in State Capital (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 19, 2005, the 61st annual Christmas Parade was held in Raleigh, the state capital of North Carolina. About sixty thousand people watched this parade, the largest in the area between New York and Atlanta. The parade procession was 1.2 miles long. The local TV station broadcast the parade live for two and an half hours.

Parade spectators showed great enthusiasm in spite of the chilly weather. With heavy jackets and thick blankets, they went early to wait for the parade.

A young father and his one-year-old daughter watched the Falun Gong practitioners' rehearsal. He had never heard about Falun Dafa before. He was touched when practitioners told him that Falun Dafa improves health and teaches Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. He repeated the three principles and read them to his daughter.

The Falun Gong parade procession was composed of a waist drum troupe, lotus dancers and an exercise demonstration

When the Falun Gong procession passed the parade spectators, they couldn't help admiring the group. Many called out, "Beautiful!" Some spectators were surprised and happy when they saw the beautiful lotus flowers made by the practitioners.
