Condition Critical: All Practitioners in the Fourth Prison of Hebei Province Are Hunger Striking to Protest Brutal Treatment

(Clearwisdom.net) Since October 26, 2005, all Dafa practitioners at the Fourth Prison of Hebei Province have been on a hunger strike collectively to protest the atrocities of the prison authorities and to appeal for an unconditional release. The practitioners there are in critical condition after being on hunger strike for twenty-nine days.

The Fourth Prison of Hebei Province, (also known as the Northern Suburb Prison of Shijiazhuang City) is located at 3 Beihuan West Road, Shijiazhuang City.

According to a recent report from Clearwisdom.net, the prison guards violently persecuted Falun Gong practitioners using all kinds of inhuman and brutal torture methods. On August 25, officials there forcibly detained four Falun Gong practitioners. Three of the practitioners included Guo Zhijiang from the Seventh Division, Jin Hui from the Third Division and Zhang Zhishui from the Eighth Division. The officials dragged them to a specially guarded building, where criminal inmates were instigated by the police to torture those practitioners day and night. The practitioners were forbidden to sleep, use the bathroom, talk or move. If anyone closed their eyes or moved slightly, they were savagely beaten. The police force-fed the practitioners on hunger strike with highly concentrated salt solution several times.

In mid-August, Dafa practitioner Cai Baohua had been illegally held in solitary confinement by the Fifth Division police officer Yu Chunguang for thirteen days. The police from the Sixth Division instigated inmates to beat four Dafa practitioners in public. Bruises left from the beatings were still noticeable several days later on the right side of the face of Yang Jin'gang and the right arm of Ke Xingguo.

Dafa practitioners in Shijiazhuang City, including Wang Shengbiao, Niu Min'gang, and Yang Xiaojie have also been illegally detained there. All along, Dafa practitioners there have been peacefully protesting the cruel persecution using all means and appealing for an unconditional release.

Please appeal to the entire international community to offer effective support for rescuing Falun Gong practitioners and to stop all kinds of illegal and inhuman actions at the Fourth Prison in Hebei Province.
