Falun Dafa Saved My Parents

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. My mother, who is 65 years old, began to suffer from high blood pressure and diarrhea at the age of 49. As she became older, she contracted more diseases, and suffered headaches, liver disease, a stroke, diabetes, urethritis and serious ossein proliferation in her right leg. Her internal organs gradually began to fail.

In May of this year her health became worse. She took medication, but it had no effect. She wasn't able to use the toilet by herself. She needed the help of two strong men to get in and out of bed. On May 7 of the Chinese Lunar Calendar this year, she had two physical examinations, one at the district hospital and another at the city hospital, and they told her that her illness was terminal. The principal physician told my dad and me, "Ever since she came to stay in this hospital, I've been giving her the best medicine, but her health has continued to deteriorate rapidly. I don't expect her to live more than a month more."

We couldn't believe what we were hearing. My stubborn old father had lost his strength and stood there sighing for hours. He couldn't help his tears. After returning home, I had a discussion with my wife (also a Dafa practitioner). We had read those miraculous stories on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website about how patients had recited, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Zhen, Shan, Ren [Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance] is good" and recovered. We felt that we should have our mom sincerely recite, "Falun Dafa is good." We knew that only Dafa could save her.

My mom had practiced Falun Gong for some time before the persecution began. She was in a good state at the time, but she didn't feel well after practicing due to her karma elimination. My other family members thought she was sick and asked her to take medication. She had failed on this test. Then the persecution began. My father was a Communist Party member and had been heavily poisoned by the Party culture. He had been through various political movements in China and was very scared of any persecution. Since the Communist Party wouldn't let people practice, he didn't let my mom practice. Mom's health became worse and worse by the day.

On the day when mom went to have a physical exam in the hospital, my wife and I were clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to him. He didn't listen and said some irrational things. Facing his irrationality and unreasonableness, my wife, my sister (also a Dafa practitioner) and I nearly gave up on him several times. We had a local experience sharing meeting one day. One practitioner shared how he clarified the facts to his brother. He said that we should let go of qing when clarifying the truth to our family members and relatives, and that we should regard them as sentient beings and have benevolence and forbearance towards them. After the sharing, I regained the confidence to clarify the truth to my father. We felt we should help him learn the truth and change him. My wife and I disciplined ourselves according to the principles of the Fa, and regarded ourselves at all times as Dafa practitioners. We talked to my father quite a few times and on one occasion we spent over an hour talking to him. He misunderstood us, however, and thought we just didn't want to spend the money to keep mom in the hospital.

Realizing my mom's desperate medical situation, my dad didn't argue this time. Mom recited, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Zhen, Shan, Ren is good" on the hour every day. On the third day, mom could get up by herself and walked outdoors. In less than ten days, she stopped taking all the medication. Her health became better than ever before. Before, Mom would rather skip a meal than not take her medicine. For more than three months my mother has been a living miracle. My father tells every one he meets, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Dafa is miraculous."

When he heard about my mom's recovery, her doctor shook his head in disbelief and said, "That's impossible. I've been in the medical field for a long time and I've seen so many patients like her, and none of them have ever recovered." My wife and I, however, know that our Teacher saved my mom. It is our benevolent and venerable Teacher who pulled Mom back from the brink of death.

Experiencing all these tribulations and miracles in person, my father expressed his great admiration for our Teacher. He is no longer stubborn. He burned all his Party literature and renounced the CCP himself. He shows his support by saying, "Sever the connection to the evil Communist Party. Fully support Falun Gong."

Mom's recovery made a huge impact on our local community. She tells everybody she meets how wonderful Falun Dafa is. If it wasn't for the severe situation in China, our whole family would have gone into the streets to tell everyone that "Falun Dafa is good," "Zhen, Shan and Ren is good," "Falun Dafa is a righteous way," and, "Restore the good name of our Teacher."

I hereby appeal to those who are unwilling to know the truth or don't know the truth: Please wake up. At this critical moment in history, please hurry up and choose wisely. Heaven hasn't left much time to human beings.
