Over the past few years the guards at Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp have been using extremely cruel types of torture to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. In addition to various torture methods they commonly use to torment inmates, they have invented new barbaric torture methods specifically targeting Falun Dafa practitioners. Demonstrated below are some of these torture methods that they have used against the practitioners.
Torture method No.1: Forced brainwashing with a practitioner sitting on a small chair

Guards cuff a practitioner's hands behind the back and to a bed frame. While kept in this position, some guards monitor the practitioner, some guards read slanderous articles directly to the practitioner, and others stick ear buds into the practitioner's ears and increase the volume of the tape player in order to force the practitioner to listen to the slander. If the practitioner sleeps or simply closes their eyes, the guards will brutally beat and shock the practitioner with electric batons. After twenty-four hours of torture in this way, the practitioner feels enormous pain. Their four limbs will be numb and the ears will be ringing. In particular, some practitioners collapsed mentally and were unable to stand up after this torture.

The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an ice-cold metal bed with the practitioner lying on the bed on his back. The practitioner is unable to move and deprived of food, water, and restroom use. This treatment usually lasts from several hours up to more than a dozen days, making the practitioner unable to walk or move afterwards because the whole body is numb. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically.

A practitioner is forced to stand up, with the arms stretched out and tied to the metal bars of the bed and the legs spread apart. The guards and some criminal inmates (under the instruction of the guards) take turns beating the practitioner, kicking the practitioner's abdomen, forehead, back, face and mouth. They also smash chairs on the practitioner and burn the practitioners' fingers with a cigarette lighter. Some practitioners have lost teeth, had their eardrums broken, suffered severe burn marks on their fingers or had deformed fingers after the torture. With this method, the guards tortured practitioner Jia Jingwen and broke the handcuffs. They kicked practitioner Li Zhongjie's mouth and made him unable to close his mouth for a very long time. With the same method, Guo Weibin, Ma Jiuqing, Shen Chuang, Jiao Zhihua, and An Qingzhong beat practitioner Li Zhongjie and Zuo Zhongyou for over an hour, and caused them to feel indescribable pain in their organs.

A practitioner is handcuffed along the horizontal bar of an iron bed. With the body bent, the back and hips are forcefully stuffed under the bed. Tortured with this method, a practitioner suffers tremendous pain. Some have their backs injured without being able to stand up.

This is a torture method that the authorities at the Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp frequently use against Falun Dafa practitioners. First they stop a practitioner from having any sleep for a few days. Then they cuff the practitioner's hands behind the back and tie the practitioner's legs into the double-crossed posture with a rope. Then they step on the tied-up legs and knock the practitioner down so that his/her back is flat on the floor. A few guards then use the electric batons to shock the bottom of the practitioner's feet and the breastbone. Another two guards twist and beat the practitioner's head, and turn the practitioner's body upside down to make it easier for the other guards to shock the sensitive areas of the body with the electric batons. After being tortured by this method, a practitioner will not be able to walk for months.

A practitioner is forced to double-cross the legs. Then the guards kick the knees, and two of them tie the two legs together with a fat rope and forcefully pull the two ends of the rope in opposite directions. Another guard presses the practitioner's back to prevent the practitioner from moving. In addition, they insert a wooden stick under the practitioner's hips to increase the pain. They force the practitioner to sit in such a posture for a long time. Under this torture method, some practitioners have had their legs broken or could not move their legs for a very long time afterwards.
Torture Method 7: Brutal beating
This is one of the common torture methods used at the Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp against newly arrested Falun Dafa practitioners. The following demonstrates exactly how the guards continuously beat into unconsciousness and severely injured three Falun Dafa practitioners at the Jinzhou Labor Camp.

Step 1: In a small room, one guard pulled the first practitioner's arms from both sides of a vertical bar of the iron bed so that the practitioner could not move. Then three other guards brutally beat the practitioner and cut the neck, the back, and the legs of the practitioner with wooden planks until he lost consciousness.

Step 2: Taking the second practitioner into the room, two guards started to beat the practitioner with wooden planks until the practitioner fell down. The practitioner's back and head were injured, but the guards kept up the beating until the practitioner lost consciousness.

Step 3: Taking another practitioner in, one guard seized him by the throat so that the other two could beat his back and legs with big wooden planks until he too lost consciousness. Finally the four guards stepped on the heads, feet, and hands of the three practitioners until they were confident that all three practitioners lost consciousness. With their faces deformed after the brutal beatings, the practitioners had injuries all over their bodies and were not able to move.

Ms. Xie Xiulan, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Liaoning Province, has been sent to forced labor camps twice during the last five years because of her belief in Falun Gong. She was detained for four years and four months in total, first at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp and then at Dalian Forced Labor Camp. She was tortured physically and mentally, for example by being hung up by handcuffs, confined in a small cell and forced to sit on an iron chair or stand continuously for eight days. Her legs were tied in a double crossed position with rope, and she was forced to write the three statements. Due to the torture, her weight dropped from 51 kg (about 112 lbs) to 40 kg (about 88 lbs), and she developed symptoms of an ovarian tumor. Ms. Xie escaped from the forced labor camp on July 19, 2005.
The following is Ms. Xie Xiulan's personal testimony of the persecution she suffered in the forced labor camp.
At around 7:30 p.m. on December 6, 2000, I was 200 yards away from my home when a policeman arrested me and took me to the Xinghai Police Station. The police officer asked me whether I practiced Falun Gong. When I answered "yes," two public security officers immediately pushed me and two other practitioners, (Ms. Duan Guilan and Ms. Zhang Xiuhua), into a car. On the following day, I was sent to the Yaojia Detention Center in Nanguanling, Dalian City, and 42 days later, I was sent to the No. 2 Women's Camp of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp where I was persecuted for more than two years.
At about 9 p.m. on December 17, 2001, we were shown the Chinese Central TV's "Focus Talk Show" that slandered Dafa. Ms. Shi Shengying, Ms. Sun Jinjun and I left the room, refusing to watch. The labor camp director, Su Jing, then locked me up in a "triangle room."
One day in early March 2002, because I practiced the Falun Gong exercises, a guard put me in a storage room on the first floor, cuffed my hands to an iron bed, and did not allow me to stand or sit. The camp guard ordered the inmates to grab my hair and smash my head on the brick floor. My wrists and forehead bled from the beating. I was then cuffed to a heating pipe and forced to stand there for eight days without sleep.
On April 8, Ms. Song Guixiang, Ms. Hu Ying, Ms. Sun Jinjun and I did not cooperate with the evil. We refused to participate in all activities, and shouted "Falun Dafa is great." The guards kept us inside an iron gate on the first floor, hung up one hand with a rope, and cuffed the other hand to the heating pipe. The guards played recordings that slandered Dafa and pasted slanderous posters all over the wall. They were afraid of us shouting, "Falun Dafa is great," so they sealed our mouths with strips of cloth. After a while, the corners of our mouth and our teeth started to bleed. At midnight, we shouted, "Falun Dafa is great." Director Su Jing led more than 20 guards to seal our mouths with tape, and dragged us into the small cells where practitioners Ms. Sun Caihong and Ms. Li Liming were already detained. The five small cells were full of practitioners. Every cell had two practitioners. We were cuffed to the tiger bench for 12 days.
On May 13, the forced labor camp played recordings that slandered Dafa, and I shouted, "Falun Dafa is great." The chief warden ordered inmates to cover my mouth and punch me in the face. As a result, the bridge of my nose was fractured and it bled profusely.
On July 1, Ms. Shi Shengying and I refused to wear the labor camp uniforms and shouted, "Falun Dafa is great." We were locked up in a small cell for a month, and were forced to sit on the iron chair with both hands cuffed. As a result my feet and legs became swollen and deformed, and yellow fluid oozed out of my toes. I was not released from that position until August 2.
On August 22, the forced labor camp held an illegal trial, and we refused to attend. The brigade captain ordered inmates to seal our mouths shut with tape and pulled us to the meeting place. As soon as we shouted, "Falun Dafa is great," two guards came up to pull our hair and twist our arms. They pushed us to the floor in a room on the first floor. Every room had eight or nine Falun Dafa practitioners. Several rooms downstairs, all with iron doors, were full. On that day, practitioners Ms. Li Liming, Ms. Sun Caihong, and Ms. Li Dongqing were sent to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.
On January 22, 2003, Brigade Captain Wang Xiaofeng and a deputy captain talked me into going behind an iron door on the first floor. Once we got there, they tied my legs into a double-crossed position. When I could no longer endure the pain after three hours, I did what a practitioner should not do. Later I awakened and immediately announced that all words and acts against Dafa were null and void. The brigade captain again dragged me by the hair and pulled me to the room that housed the water pump. They pushed me to the ground, and I lay there for the whole morning. Later I was dragged to the toilet, where the guards ordered the inmates to take turns to watch me. I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to them. After 3:00 p.m., they pulled me to a storage room on the first floor and did not allow me to use the restroom. At night, the guards ordered the inmates to tie me up with rope and hung me up to the heating pipe on the ceiling with my feet off the ground for more than three hours. I could not breathe and had to wet my pants. I silently recited Teacher's words,
"If he is able to let go of life and death, he is a God; if he is unable to let go of life and death, he is human." ("Lecture at the Australia Fa Conference")
I asked Teacher with righteous thoughts to strengthen me and finally made it through with Teacher's protection.
Before April 2003, when we refused to do Taichi as ordered, the guards tortured us by hanging us up and exposing us to cold temperature barefoot. Practitioners Wang Yulan, Huang Guifen, Sun Jinjun, Song Guixiang, Sun Juan, Guo Guixiang, Tao Yuzhen, Hu Ying, Su Ming, Li Gang, Li Guijie and I were persecuted this way.
I was detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for more than two years and eleven months (twenty days short of three years), and was released on November 17, 2003.
On March 30, 2004, I clarified the truth and distributed materials in the country areas of Xinjin County, Dasa, Hongshi and Cuigou. I was reported, and three police officers and a driver carried me into a car at 10:00 a.m. on March 31 and detained me at the local Dasa Police Station. I was sent to the Xinjin County Detention Center at 6:00 p.m., and subsequently held there for 43 days. During the detention I had a stomachache and was sent to the Xinjin County Tumor Hospital for a check-up on April 29. The ultrasound showed that I had a tumor on my left ovary. The police walked me right out of the hospital and claimed that it was only an inflammation. I was then sent to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp.
At the Dalian Forced Labor Camp, the guards brutally tortured Dafa practitioners. Torture methods included the "death bed torture," standing on ice, the "big hang up" (1), locking up in a small cell, sleep deprivation and so on. I refused to stand up, so the guards ordered inmates Da Wangcong and others to beat me in the storage room. They kicked my chest and head, kicked me to the ground, deprived me of sleep at night, and forced me to remain standing for four days straight. By this point my mind was muddled and filled with fear, and I wrote a statement against my will.
While in the Dalian Forced Labor Camp, I had the symptoms of heart disease many times. The women's section of the Dalian Forced Labor Camp disassembled on October 28, 2004, and I was sent to the No. 2 camp of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp again. On November 8, I declared that all words and acts against Dafa were null and void, and kept practicing Dafa.
In the No. 2 camp of Masanjia, practitioners refused to perform labor or wear uniforms. They did not cooperate with the evil at all, and opposed the persecution and requested immediate release. The guards detained us on the second floor of the 1st brigade. As soon as we shouted, "Falun Dafa is great" or practiced the exercises, they dragged us into a small cell, beat us, cursed at us, and forbade us from going downstairs or to take showers. We opposed the persecution, clarified the truth, and went on hunger strikes.
During the detention, I was locked up in a small cell twice for shouting "Falun Dafa is great." Later the hospital found that I had a tumor of 2 inches in diameter in my left ovary. I said that it was caused by the persecution. I had no illness before I was arrested. I was 112 lbs when I arrived there and dropped to 88lbs after several years of persecution. A police captain said that they did not arrest me. I said, "You can release me then. You know I am a good person. Why am I being detained and persecuted?" He remained silent.
With Teacher's protection, I escaped from the den of evil on July 19, 2005. I must now redouble my efforts, make up for the damage that I did to Dafa, do the three things well, and firmly follow Teacher until the completion of my cultivation.

(1) The "Big Hang Up" - There are two forms to this torture: The first is when both hands are cuffed behind the back and only the toes are touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames. The second is when one hand is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. (Clearwisdom.net) Since October 1, 2005, Dafa practitioner Bai Shaohua, whose family members were arrested in Beijing, has been in severe danger after being punitively force-fed. He was sent to the public security department hospital for emergency treatment twice and his situation is extremely serious. Bai Shaohua's older brother Bai Xiaojun was persecuted to death in 2000.
In this large scale assault on Falun Gong practitioners, Bai Shaohua, together with Liu Yujian, Yan Jiguo and others have endured severe persecution.
Mr. Bai Shaohua, aged 34, graduated from the Department of Economics at the Chinese People's University. He and his brother are talented at calligraphy and playing musical instruments, and both of them are well-educated. In 1994, Mr. Bai's family participated in Master Li's seminar in Harbin and started practicing Dafa. After graduation, Bai Shaohua was employed by the New Otter Corporation in Beijing. Under his influence, all of the people in his department began practicing Falun Gong, and in 1998 they made two million yuan more in profit than the previous year. For that reason the general manager decided to give priority to Falun Gong practitioners when hiring employees.
After the persecution started in 1999, Mr. Bai's family received a great deal of attention from the CCP. Li Lanqing, the former head of the 610 Office, gave special instructions to severely punish him. In the last several years, Bai Shaohua was separated from his family, and his family members were subjected to having their houses ransacked, incarceration and brainwashing.
Bai Shaohua's 70-year-old mother lost her eyesight during detention. No sooner had her eyesight recovered after her release than she was arrested again while distributing Dafa flyers. Mr. Bai's wife, who was pregnant then, was also sent to a prison thousands of miles away.
Bai Shaohua was wanted by the police nationwide, and they even set up a special team to track him down. On April 4, 2002, Bai Shaohua was arrested again and subjected to severe persecution. In the Beijing Law Training Center, he resisted the persecution with great willpower. He held a hunger strike for more than 100 days there and forestalled the authorities' attempt to escalate the persecution. Without sufficient "evidence" to determine the sentence, the authorities sent him to the Tuanhe Labor Camp.
In the Tuanhe Labor Camp, Bai Shaohua was brave in exposing and stopping the police's evil deeds. He was once bound to a death bed for long periods and forbidden to use the toilet.
On October 14, 2004, Bai Shaohua was released after his sentence was up. However, under the pressure of surveillance, he had to leave home once more. Later, he was monitored while working and had to quit the job. Finally, on orders from high level CCP officials, he and his family were all arrested.
Bai Shaohua's brother Bai Xiaojun was a lecturer at Northeast Normal University. He was a gifted person in many fields. On July 21, 1999, he was detained at Fengtai Stadium in Beijing for appealing for justice for Falun Gong. Here, he was kicked and had his ribs severely injured while trying to stop a policemen's cruelty toward a female practitioner. This process was witnessed by a CCTV anchorman who was also detained there as a Falun Gong practitioner. Bai Xiaojun was sentenced to labor camps twice and was persecuted until he was extremely weak. Because he refused the brainwashing, Bai Xiaojun received an extended sentence in the labor camp, where he was eventually killed.
The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has been widely denounced by people all over the world. However, Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan have not stopped the persecution. They pay more attention to covering up their deeds so that many people mistakenly believe that the persecution has ended. Bai Shaohua's case is strong evidence that the persecution is still continuing.

(Clearwisdom.net) While I was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, I met a woman who had been released from Yaojia Labor Camp. She was a convicted criminal, and she told me about the persecution of Dafa practitioners in Yaojia Labor Camp that she had witnessed when she was there.
At Yaojia Labor Camp, the guards tie Dafa practitioners with iron chains onto a bed. They don't allow practitioners to use the toilet, leaving them no choice but to relieve themselves on the bed. Then they order the criminals to clean it up. The police make the criminals force-feed Dafa practitioners. She also witnessed a guard using needles to pierce each finger of a practitioner.
That woman said that the guards also tried to make her force-feed the Dafa practitioners. She told them, "I can clean up after them, but I'd rather die than force-feed them." The guards were not able to force her to do it. She cleaned up after the practitioners every day. She took care of a total of eight Dafa practitioners. She said that there are still about 10 practitioners detained there.
There is a scar on her hand. She told me that when she was on trial, the interrogator burned her with a cigarette butt. I asked her how she managed to get out. She said she had no idea. One day, the head of the labor camp asked her if she wanted to go home, and she said, "Of course," so the director released her.
I told her that good is rewarded with good and evil is met with karmic retribution. Because she had righteous thoughts, she treated the Dafa practitioners well, and did not force-feed the practitioners, she benefited.
She said that she knows that Dafa practitioners are good people. She can recite "Dafa is Good" from Hongyin II, and she can also sing some songs about the truth of Dafa. I told her some more facts about the persecution. She said she understood everything I said and she planned to withdraw her membership to all CCP (Chinese Communist Party) organizations.
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Nie Feiyao is from Hengyang City and works in Guangzhou. He was arrested twice for distributing truth clarifying materials. He was sent twice to Changsha City, Hunan Province's Xinkaipu Labor Camp for "transformation". He suffered horribly there. After his release he was mentally ill. When he was more focused and clear-minded, he managed to outline the horrific experience he faced inside the labor camp. Judging from his current condition and physical appearance, it seems likely that the labor camp injected him with drugs that damaged his nervous system. His wife found his written description of the treatment he experienced and sent it to us to expose the persecution:
"Inside the Xinkaipu Labor Camp, I suffered severe, inhuman persecution. In the beginning, they ordered collaborators to continuously force me to watch video recordings that defamed and vilified Falun Gong. Later they came in groups and in shifts to try to "transform" me with their twisted and evil logic. This continued for about two weeks. When they thought I was wavering in my determination, they intensified their methods of persecution. They forced drug addicts in the jail to assist them. At the peak, they assigned six drug addicts to guard and "transform" me. They restricted my movement and wouldn't allow me to speak. In the end, they resorted to tying me to the bed. Both my hands were tied behind my back and raised as far back as possible. My feet were also securely bound to the bed. My body was tied to the middle of the bed. I couldn't move. My mouth was gagged with dirty socks, to the point of suffocation. I was tied in this position for four days. When they finally untied me, for about a week I was unable to walk. My hands were so numb and weak that I was unable to lift my rice bowl when eating. I became mentally unhinged and forgetful.
My father came from Hengyang City to visit me. They wouldn't allow the visit. They did not even let me know he was there for fear that their evil deeds would be exposed. Their attitude changed when my wife wrote a letter to the labor camp demanding an explanation and my release. At this point they hypocritically came to comfort me, allowing me to write a letter home. They tried to get me to lie and say that things were fine so as to cover up their evil deeds.
Close to the end of my prison term, they secretly intensified the persecution. On several occasions they forced me to write a repentance statement. I don't understand why, but I suddenly became mentally disoriented. I became very absent-minded and I lost my memory. I couldn't walk by myself, I couldn't use my hands to feed myself, and I almost lost all ability to take care of myself. I suffered a mental collapse. The labor camp was afraid to assume any responsibility, so they sent more people to try to force me to write a guarantee statement. They called for local police to take me home when I was released. At that time, I was not in a clear state of mind. The persecution has led to irreparable damage and loss."

(Clearwisdom.net) Between March and April 2002, the Jiamusi City Xigemu Women's Forced Labor Camp started pressuring Falun Dafa practitioners into being "reformed" through brainwashing. In addition, over twenty female guards were relocated from the Jiamusi Prison to the forced labor camp to participate in the persecution.
When the brainwashing started, the guards moved Falun Dafa practitioners from their "small cells" and gathered them all into a large room on the third floor. They forced practitioners to sit on little stools to watch propaganda that defamed Falun Dafa, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The little stools were specially made such that four spiral nail poles protruded above the surface. The practitioners were forced to sit with their backs straight, their two hands flat on their kneecaps and their legs bent at a 90-degree angle. Several guards rotated, patrolling day and night with rubber and wooden clubs. As soon as they saw that someone's posture was not correct, they beat that practitioner with the club. As a result of sitting on the little stool for an extended period, some practitioners' buttocks were severely bruised and torn by the protruding spiral nail poles.
One time, because the practitioners refused to read articles that defamed Falun Dafa, the guards called in some male guards from the management office and proceeded to brutally beat the practitioners. One practitioner's arm was broken from the beating. Another practitioner's leg was fractured. Many other practitioners were severely injured.
The chief guard in charge of torture on the second floor dragged three to four Falun Dafa practitioners to the second floor every day. He first tried to force the practitioners to copy the repentance statement. If someone refused, he immediately started torturing them. First the guard held the practitioner to the floor. He then lifted the bed board and handcuffed the practitioner's hands onto the steel bed frame. Such a torture method is called "behind-the-back handcuffing." (The practitioner's hands are first tied behind the back with one hand over the shoulder and the other hand against the lower back. The police then apply a great deal of force to pull the hands toward one another and handcuff them together.) This causes the practitioner under torture to suffer excruciating pain from torn muscles and fractured bones. When the torture lasts a long time, the practitioners lose consciousness from the pain.
Later, a guard devised a vicious torture method. When they handcuff the practitioners' hands, they lock the handcuffs deep into the practitioners' bones. In a very short while, the handcuffed hands turn from red to black due to the lack of blood circulation. After half an hour, the hands above and below are switched. During the process of switching, the guard intentionally lifts the handcuffs up to worsen the pain. Because the handcuffs were locked into the bone, the skin on the practitioners' wrists was torn and the gaping flesh wounds were produced. During this torture, one can often hear painful cries from the corridor. After several months of brutal torture, many practitioners became handicapped from the beatings and the handcuffing. Some practitioners even became paralyzed.
Those who participated in the torture include: He Qiang, Liu Yadong, Sun Limin, Li Xiujin, Mu Zhenjuan, Sun Min, Gao Jie, Gao Xiaohua, Hong Wei, Jiang Jianan, Zhang Yan, prison guard Lin, prison guard Sun, and others. Ms. Li Haixiang, 55 years old, is a family member of an employee at 728 Salt Plant, Yingcheng City in Hubei Province. After she began practicing Falun Gong in 1995, the illnesses and pain all over her body vanished. On the evening of July 19, 1999, her home was ransacked by some officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She was illegally arrested and imprisoned twice. The officials came to her home to harass her every day. Her father worried all day and night, and he died in December 2001. The officials also forced her son to pressure her to renounce Falun Gong, threatening to dismiss him from his job if he refused to do so. As a result, her family was unable to live a normal life. She could not study the Fa or practice the exercises and she was constantly under pressure. She had symptoms of blood poisoning, and left the world on February 19, 2005.
Mr. Feng Qingke, 62 years old, is a retired worker at Xinji City, Hebei Province. He started the practice of Falun Gong before April 25, 1999. After July 20, 1999, his wife went to Beijing to appeal and to clarify the truth. She was stopped and sent back by the police. After that, the police went to their home many times to harass and threaten them. They arrested them many times, extorted ten thousand yuan from them, and damaged Mr. Feng's body and mind. As a result he could not practice Falun Gong, and his health worsened. He left the world on September 30, 2005.
Ms. Liu Tin-er, 44 years old, lived in Beiduanzhuang Village, Town of Lizhuang, Qingyuan County, Hebei Province. For practicing Falun Gong, she was arrested many times, detained, illegally fined, and suffered mistreatment at a labor camp. Her mind was seriously harmed. She died on November 19, 2003.
Ms. Gu Xijuan, was a department head at Wuxi City Insurance Company, Jiangsu Province, (home address: 42 Sunjiang New Village #401, Wuxi City). Because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, she was persecuted many times by CCP personnel. In January 2001, she was arrested by 610 Office personnel and persecuted in a brainwashing center. In 2002, she was arrested once again and taken to a brainwashing session at Jinchengwan, where the former Wuxi County Court had been located. During this period, Gu Xijuan had blood in her stool. She requested a hospital examination, but the 610 Office personnel used various excuses not to take her to the hospital, so her health drastically worsened. In 2002, Wuxi City 610 Office personnel went to her company to harass her, and the pressure caused her physical and mental health to deteriorate. She died in September 2002.
Mr. Ma Jianshe, 53 years old, was from Sijie, Xinji City, Hebei Province. He used to have diabetes long ago, and had sought after medical help in every way, but had no success. He had been in misery beyond description. After he practiced Falun Gong, the disease he had suffered for many years vanished. He tried to be a good person everywhere and at all times. After July 20 in 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal, but he was arrested and sent back to his native town by CCP personnel. He was pummeled by the police, detained for more than 40 days, and illegally fined 2,600 yuan. From then on, the public security bureau and personnel at 610 Offices treated him as a key person to persecute. National Security Brigade Chief Geng Zhanfeng (the father of a current police officer Geng Chao) led the police to Mr. Ma's home many times to search the place and harass him. They threatened, "If we find even a little Falun Gong material, we will go after you until you have lost everything." In April 2003, 610 Office personnel led the police again to break into his home suddenly, and they took him to a brainwashing session. They used violence to try to force him to turn against Dafa. They even detained his relative that was visiting him. Threatening to harm his relative, they forced him to renounce Falun Gong. Ma Jianshe's body and mind were devastated. Due to the police harassment and threats at his home, he suffered a relapse of his old disease and left the world on June 13, 2005.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Guo Qiaowei, 77 years old, was from Yongniang County, Hebei Province. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, her various ailments disappeared without a trace in a short time. After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, she endured the pain of watching her children being persecuted and was subjected to pressure and harassment at every turn. In the Spring of 2005, she was subjected to the government agents' unlawful persecution and intimidation once again. She passed away on August 2, 2005 as a result.
Mr. Li Zhengang, 74 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Baoding City, Hebei Province. He began his practice in 1997. After that all of his diseases quickly disappeared. After July 20, 1999, his wife and daughter went to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong. As a result, they were illegally arrested and sentenced to forced labor camps. The police officers visited his home many times to harass the family. His wife was forcibly and illegally fined, with the amount automatically deducted from her salary for three years. He suffered both physically and mentally and had a recurrence of his old diseases. He passed away at the end of December 2001.
Ms. Shao Zhongqin, 63 years old, was from Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province. After she began to cultivate in Falun Gong at the end of 1998, she gained her health both physically and mentally. In 2000, her home was ransacked, and she was harassed by local police officers. She suffered enormous mental pressure and did not practice the Falun Gong exercises. She developed uremia in 2004 and passed away on October 6, 2005.
Ms. Liu Baolan, 67 years old, was a retired teacher from Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. After she began to cultivate in Falun Gong in 1996, multiple diseases that had troubled her for many years quickly disappeared. After July 1999, Jiang Zemin began the persecution of Falun Gong. To clarify the facts to the government, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice. She was detained illegally and sent to the notorious Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. Although she was overage for a labor camp, the government agents gave her a one-year sentence anyway. For years after that, whenever it was a so-called "sensitive period," the agents would harass her at her home. In January 2005, they ransacked her home once again and arrested her daughter. Under such huge and unjustifiable torment, she was thrown into a stupor, became paralyzed, and developed edema all over. Even so, the agents would not leave the family alone and kept on harassing them. After suffering for ten months, Liu Baolan passed away on November 8, 2005.
Mr. Li Xuri, 72 years old, was from Zhangying Village, Gaoxin District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. He began to cultivate in Falun Gong in 1997. After practicing cultivation, all of his diseases disappeared. After July 20, 1999, he was detained twice. In 2003, he was charged a fine and extorted out of 500 yuan. After that, his children watched him closely and prohibited him from making contact with fellow practitioners. As a result, he was totally isolated and had a relapse of his diseases. He passed away on June 11, 2004.

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 23, 2005, the Minghui website reported that the 97-year old father of Falun Gong practitioner Tian Fujin from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia was severely ill and bedridden. He was expecting his son and granddaughter to come home and see him, but both were in prison. The Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp, however, refused to release them.
At 7:00 p.m. on November 18, 2005, Tian Fujin's father died. Tian Fujin and his daughter did not see him before he passed away. His 81-year old mother and other family members and friends of Tian Fujin had eagerly awaited his return.
Mr. Tian Fujin is 55 years old. He was the former vice president of the Leather Factory of Tongliao City. For practicing Falun Gong, he was illegally sentenced to five years in prison. His family has been torn apart for the last six years, and six of his family members were subjected to persecution and sentenced to forced labor camps and prisons. Family members were separated from one another, their business went bankrupt, and their savings were exhausted.
Tian Fujin was sentenced to a forced labor camp twice for a total of five years. He is still being persecuted at the Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia. His first daughter Tian Fang and third daughter Tian Miao were sentenced for four and six years, respectively. Both are being persecuted at the Women's Prison of Huhhot City in Inner Mongolia.
We appeal to all righteous people to rescue Tian Fujin's family and help all of the innocent Falun Gong practitioners who are being persecuted.

In succession, they condemn the appalling brutality of CCP against Falun Gong practitioners and other innocent Chinese. In addition, they promised to do what they could to help end the persecution. (Clearwisdom.net) Two news stories broke out in China in November. One was called a "benevolent lie," while the other was two malevolent rapes in broad daylight. It is worth exploring how different these two events truly are in nature.
A report by Radio Free Asia said that when the Harbin government first shut off the city's water supply on November 21, it lied about the reason of the shut-off and issued a statement that the water main needed to be maintained and repaired. Zhang Zuoji, governor of Heilongjiang Province, called the statement a "benevolent lie." Zhang told reporters that the reason for this statement was because the government was worried that "the public couldn't deal with such a sudden disaster."
According to a Time Magazine report (http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1136504,00.html), Zhang informed provincial officials about the decision to keep secret the benzene spill at a closed-door meeting on November 22 at the Peace Village Hotel in Harbin. Zhang's reasons for the lie were somewhat absurd. Zhang reportedly said, "There were three reasons. First, the pollution had not yet entered our province. Second, we had not received direct data. Third, the Xinhua news agency had just reported that there was no pollution."
The provincial governor of Heilongjiang needed to follow Xinhua news agency to see if he could publicize the news about a pollution spill in his province. Obviously, it was not the provincial governor who made up this "benevolent lie."
Radio Free Asia published commentaries from legal experts in China. Attorney Li Heping said, "In the public domain, there is not a concept of a 'benevolent lie.' Government officials need to protect citizens' right to know. This is a mandate of the government. Such a sudden, large-scale environmental disaster affects millions of lives and interests in many different areas."
Professor He Weifang of Peking University Law School said that the "benevolence" in the "benevolent lie" could only be from government officials to their superiors, but not towards the common public. Mr. He said, "Such a lie could gain a favorable impression from the superiors; but to millions or even more people, how could this be benevolence? I think this is a very peculiar way to put it." He continued, "This so-called benevolence is actually harmful to the common citizens."
When the governor of Heilongjiang deceived the people, he at least used a "benevolent lie" as a disguise. Several days later, when policeman He Xuejian from Dongchengfang Township, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province raped two female Falun Gong practitioners who were of similar ages to his mother, there was no attempt to hide the malevolence. It showed that under the Chinese Communist Party's permission and harboring, the local "law enforcement officials" are harming citizens, totally disregarding laws and morals.
None of these are isolated incidents. From hiding the truth about SARS and bird flu to the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners (including sexual abuse of female Falun Gong practitioners) in the last six years; from provincial-level officials' lies to local police's beastly violence, it reveals how the CCP denatures its members and uses lies and violence to take human lives at will. It is no surprise that some scholars call the CCP the largest criminal gang in China.

Greetings to Respected Teacher and fellow practitioners:
During the last Mid-Autumn Festival, Ms. Yang and I worked together to hold a recital in Dresden, Germany. It was the first time that we used a solo singing format to spread the true facts about Dafa. It was not only a process to expose the evil and save sentient beings, but also a process of cultivating and elevating ourselves.
Recalling the creating, practicing, and performing processes that occurred over a month-long period, we experienced Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's omnipresence along every step of the way.
At first, we planned to sing the most popular Chinese folk songs to introduce people to Chinese culture. Both the music itself and the accompaniment were available already. We soon realized that anything that a practitioner does is to validate Dafa. It is not enough to only introduce the Chinese musical culture to people.
Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference:"
"For Dafa disciples, cultivating and validating the Fa today are first and foremost. Dafa disciples must validate the Fa. For you, clarifying the truth and saving all beings are first and foremost....Actually, you need to remain level-headed and calmly analyze whether the thing you're doing has anything to do with Dafa and validating the Fa. If the answer is yes, you should go ahead and do it. If the answer is no, you shouldn't. You should never lose your way."
For those of us practitioners who have talents and skills in music, using music to tell people the facts about Dafa and to expose the evil, save sentient beings, and spread Dafa is our historic mission.
Music has no borders. One time Ms. Yang sang the song, "Singing in prison." The words were written by practitioner Gao Qiu, who was incarcerated in a Chinese jail. A western lady was crying while listening. She did not understand the words, but she was shaken anyway. The kindness and tolerance of the persecuted practitioner who refused to buckle under pressure moved her. Such instances have occurred more than once.
To tell people the facts of Falun Gong with songs and music sometimes is more effective in reaching people's souls than a flyer or VCD. It is easier to move people and get people's empathy, and thus to accomplish things that other means cannot. The songs were good means for relaying the facts . The words of the songs we had were printed on a program sheet. Four of the songs were based on ancient Chinese poems, but the rest--some 23 songs--were all Dafa-related.
How to choose the songs was our first challenge. In the past, the songs that could be used on the stage were very carefully chosen. Out of dozens of songs, only one would be suitable for a recital. But none of the practitioners who composed songs were professionals. It is just unimaginable in everyday people's minds to have a recital consisting of these songs. Normally strong contrasts and dramatic variations are important factors for a recital to be successful. But most Dafa related songs are peaceful and calm, with no crying, no excitement, no pain, and no sorrow. We had no idea of how we could make an 80-minute recital full of contrasts and variations. But one thing we firmly believed: our music contains energy that can rectify all things that are not righteous.
The musical pieces reflected the joy of practitioners who obtained Dafa, the smile when faced with great tribulations, and the calm in dealing with all difficulties. The inner contents are beyond ordinary people's emotions. The positive, benevolent, and bright messages conveyed with these songs are beyond comparison with the best of ordinary songs.
From numerous songs we selected 23 and divided them into three parts. The first was "Lucky to obtain Dafa and return to our original selves," the second was "Enduring huge tribulations with indestructible righteous thoughts," and the third was "All boats are sailing home in the renewed cosmos." We mixed songs with different tempos, keys, and styles to form a complete musical image, and reached the effect that we hoped for.
The next challenge was to compose the accompaniments. A good accompaniment can make the songs sound much better. A bad one will cause it to lose its beauty. How to catch the unique character of each song and let the piano enrich the song and have the two harmonize with each other was a big challenge for me.
Another challenge for me was that an entire recital consisting of accompaniments written by a single person was unheard of. Because everyone has his or her own style and habits, the lyrics, harmonies, and musical direction by one person are going to sound similar in the songs written and performed. It is alright for one or two songs. But eight to ten pieces all put together for one recital would likely make people feel it was too repetitive.
According to my past experience, each day I could only compose for 2-3 hours and each song needed at least 2-3 days to finish. At this speed, I would still be composing when the recital is over. But then the time to perform was only a month away, which included the time for practice as well. The time was so short and the expectation was so high. What could I do?
Teacher said in Zhuan Falun: "The cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master." I firmly believed that Dafa could open up my wisdom. I knew it would be difficult, but I was not worried. I would rest for a while when I found I was not making progress. I continued with my practice and studying the Fa according to my normal schedule. I refused to borrow time from these activities to do my compositions. In the end, Dafa showed its power. Not only did I have some breakthrough in my conceptual development, the actual compositions also went very smoothly. I finished more than one piece a day on average. I surprised myself by the smoothness and I thoroughly knew in my heart that it was Teacher who was helping me. As long we journey on the right path and believe in Teacher and Dafa, Teacher is always by our side helping us, and Dafa will manifest its power. When all the pieces were finished, my gratitude was beyond description.
The next difficulty was the practice. Ms. Yang was in Germany while I was in the United States. How could we rehearse? We came up with an idea: by phone. We bought a telephone with headsets and a mouthpiece and we practiced together remotely. The biggest problem was the time delay. To play the musical accompaniment, it is important to follow the singer's tempo, pitch, loudness, and let the sound of piano be harmonized with the song. But going over the long distance generates a time delay of about 1/4-1/2 of a second. So if we tried to match the sound with each other after the transmission, the result was that we both became slower and slower.
Then I decided to play the piano ahead of her singing, but the result was not good. At one time this time difference reached an unbearable point. It was not a concerto. My playing piano and her singing songs were independent. We kept chasing and fighting with each other. What could we do? We followed Teacher's instructions: send forth righteous thoughts.
Aside from eradicating all evil that damages Dafa, disintegrating all of the dark minions and rotten demons, destroying all elements of the Communist evil specter and all of its evil factors in other dimensions, encompassing all of it and leaving out none, we also spoke with Time. Why? Time is also a life. We asked him to get assimilated with "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." We asked him to eliminate the time delay and assist us in helping Teacher rectify the Fa. The power of Dafa is boundless. It could not have gone better in the subsequent practices. The time delay no longer existed. I could catch minute variations in her singing and followed the normal tempo in doing my accompaniment. Both of us personally experienced the miraculous power of sending forth-righteous thoughts and the mighty power and the benevolence of Dafa.
On the day of recital, Ms. Yang felt enormous energy in between her two palms when she was singing the song "Coming home," and the same feeling occurred when we held law wheels doing the second movement of the exercise. It was Teacher helping us. Even the weather was cooperating. It was warm and pleasant that day, while the next day the temperature dropped 27 degrees to 41 degrees. Everything was so well arranged by Teacher for us. We felt the warmth of Dafa and Teacher's benevolence everywhere and all the time.
We witnessed the power of Dafa in a recording cession. At first we planed to record all the songs for the recital in two days. But it turned out that we finished it all in one day and spent only 5 hours and twenty minutes. We did it almost in a non-stop fashion, with one 10-minute break in the whole process. We sang every song 2 to 3 times. When we were half way though, I asked Yang if she was tired. She said it was OK. Let us keep going. When we were three quarters through, I asked her again. She replied, "I am still OK. Let's keep going until I am too tired to sing." We ended up finishing it all at once, and her voice held up too. Looking at the clock, we found that we had recorded for over 5 hours. The violinist who did the actual recording for us said to us, "I have never seen anyone record songs like you guys do---Non-stop, going for so long, and the results are very good too. The voice does not sound tired at all. It's just unbelievable."
We all knew very well it was with Teacher's help that we could have such a supernormal performance. Sending forth righteous thoughts also was important. We did not even think whether her voice would hold up or not. We just kept going.
During the preparation for the recital, we also learned some hard lessons: Originally we planned to have two shows. One of the shows was to be organized by an ordinary person who volunteered for the job. But right after we mailed her all the relevant information, her husband was injured when he spilled some boiling water. With no practitioners in that city and on one to help her, she had to take care of her husband and could not help with the recital. This made me feel that everything we do corresponds to a huge battle between the righteous and the evil in the other dimension. The evil is trying to sabotage us with whatever it can, in order to prevent us from doing what we do. They cannot do much against an activity that a practitioner does. But if our righteous thoughts are not strong enough, then the activities that ordinary people do may have loopholes that they can exploit.
To us, this time we learned a hard lesson. We thought at first that everything was just wonderful and we did not need to worry about selling tickets, advertising, or getting sponsorships. We thought that an ordinary person could do everything for us, and all we needed to do was to get on the stage and perform. But this was a big gap. If you want to do anything according to an ordinary person's thoughts, it will fail. Whether a practitioner can succeed in what he does often is determined on his one thought--whether he is using a human being's thoughts or using an immortal's thoughts.

After the recital, when we reflected on the path that we have gone through in the past month, we could not describe the gratitude we felt toward Teacher. We are just too lucky. We are lucky that we can be practitioners in this Fa-rectification period. We are lucky that we can help Teacher rectify the Fa. We are lucky that we have Teacher by our side all the time on our way home. Thank you, Teacher.
(Clearwisdom.net) During the several years of my truth-clarification work, I have come to a deep understanding that the effects are often good and things would usually go smoothly when we clarify the truth with a pure heart. Master said
"If you are able to succeed in improving yourself this way, what you do then, with a pure heart, will be the best and most sacred" ("Further Understanding" from Essentials for Further Advancement)
I stick to one principle, namely, taking Dafa as the guide when doing things. Amid the unmerciful and special environment in China, like most Dafa practitioners there, I have mainly used the methods of speaking face-to-face, sending letters and distributing truth-clarification materials in my truth-clarifying efforts. Of course, Dafa practitioners' words and actions, their cultivation status as well as their spiritual outlook also play a role of clarifying the truth.
1. "Speak out"
During the past six years, the individuals to whom I have clarified the truth face-to-face include people from all walks of life, such as factory workers, farmers, government officials, students, company employees, neighborhood residents, policemen and others. I always require myself to clarify the truth with a pure heart.
After July 20, 1999 I stepped forward to validate the Fa. While I was detained for the first time, I wanted to see how other practitioners had been doing, but it turned out that I was detained in solitary confinement, making me realize that this was a test. Dafa disciples should validate the Fa wherever they go. Since I was already illegally detained I would dwell on nothing but clarifying the truth to the guards. The guards initially took turns interrogating me - seven or eight of them in a group at the beginning, and later four or five in a group. I sat at the side of a long table and clarified the truth to them. I told them what I had personally experienced and how I had benefited from practicing Dafa, as well as what I had seen and knew about Dafa. I talked from the past to the present, from inside China to what is happening with Dafa overseas, from small incidents to big events, from what is in the lower realm to what is in the higher realm, and from one layer to another. While listening, the guards changed from initially feeling astonished to later listening with a great interest and joy, saying that it had appeared as if I were teaching them great knowledge.
I clarified the truth to several groups of guards for over ten hours, but they did not give me any food to eat, so I asked them for food. A guard said, "The others were on a hunger strike. How come you want to eat?" I said, "I have done nothing wrong. Why are you not giving me food?" After eating I again sat by the table, full of energy. All the guards smiled saying, "Now that you have eaten, you are more energetic. So you are going to start the lectures again." I said, "That's right."
I was detained there for almost fifty hours. During my detention, according to directives from their superiors, they did not allow me to sleep, not even to close my eyes. I was permitted to sit on a chair, but not lean against the back of the chair. Neither did they allow me to rest my hands on the table. I sat in the chair this way and clarified the truth for many hours. The guards commented that while I was still so full of energy, they, who had taken turns to interrogate me, were exhausted. The next day, while sitting on the square redwood chair, the four horizontal wood slabs of the chair suddenly broke. All of the guards present witnessed this miraculous incident. One guard took the time between shifts when there were no others around to ask me about Falun Gong. He also told me that there were people practicing Falun Gong in his hometown. In this manner the interrogation had been turned into my truth-clarification.
Before I was about to be released, the detention center director said, "All of our guards, including those who were temporarily assigned here, more than forty of them, listened to your speeches. Do not talk anymore after you leave here. It will be dangerous."
After I returned home, when I did the sitting meditation I saw a golden Falun sweeping through the sky with a beam of light. The Falun went even faster than a shooting star. It hit me squarely on my chest and made my whole body shake. I knew that Master was encouraging me.
While I was arrested the last time, the evils took advantage of my loopholes because I had not studied the Fa well and because of my attachment to reaching Consummation. I gave in to the so-called "reform." After I was released I read Master's articles and knew I had done wrong. I decided to do well again and double my efforts in remedying the loss I had caused. Thereafter, I have made even more efforts in clarifying the truth to the people.
During my several detentions I just kept clarifying the truth to the people around me. Many of those who were watching me got to know the truth. They said, "This is not the place where you should stay." Some guards also said so. Even so, I always had a vague feeling that Master would not have arranged for us to clarify the truth within these high walls, where we are deprived of personal freedoms. It should not be like this.
So, under what circumstances, in what environments, and in what state of mind does Master want us to clarify the truth? In this regard, one incident touched me deeply. Once, my place of employment organized people to go on a sightseeing tour. I told myself to finish two tasks during the trip - one, to clarify the truth to my colleagues, and another - to go and talk with those practitioners who had given up cultivation after July 20, 1999.
Since being released from detention, each time I participated in workplace related activities there was always someone who was assigned to monitor me. They did not permit me to talk with my colleagues about Falun Gong, nor to contact other Falun Gong practitioners in my work unit. This time I would definitely completely negate this arrangement, since a Dafa practitioner shines and validates the Fa wherever he or she goes. Thanks to Master's kind arrangements, every time when I wanted to do what I should do, someone else would call away the persons assigned to monitor me. I smoothly accomplished the two tasks. On the last afternoon of the trip I thought that I should not leave out even one person who has a predestined relationship with the Fa. As I had already spoken with everyone I was supposed to, that day I just clarified the truth to the person who was assigned to monitor me. After breakfast, while the two of us walked around a knoll in the park and enjoyed the landscape I started to clarify the truth. One hour had passed without us noticing. I was so focused on my truth clarification and she was so attentive in her listening that I forgot everything around me and did not take any notice of our surroundings. Then a colleague walked toward us saying appraisingly, "You looked so beautiful!"
The colleague assigned to monitor me said, "Being so old, how could we be beautiful?" however, that colleague still looked at me with surprise. Only by then did I notice that we were walking on a main road in the park, and there were no other people on the road. On both sides of the road was green vegetation, while in the middle of the road was a long and wide flower garden, where the flowers of different colors were already in blossom. Several cloud formations floated in the blue sky, and the rosy dawn clouds were shrouding the park. It was filled with peace and harmony. I suddenly realized that this was exactly the same as,
"Broadly shines a Buddha's light, Justly setting all things right." ("One With the Fa" from Hong Yin )
The colleague might have vaguely seen the beauty of the Fa in us. I then thought that this should be the state in which we clarify the truth. A pure heart will bring about a pure environment, and we Dafa practitioners should create such an environment ourselves. This is what Master wants us to do. This scene was engraved deeply in my mind. Later I found out that during this trip, according to instructions from the 610 Office, my workplace had specifically arranged for someone to talk with me, but it turned out that nobody talked with me. Instead, I spoke with them.
When clarifying the truth with a pure hart, one will use one's heart to talk, and furthermore one will do it according to the varied conditions of different persons and different circumstances. Once, a retired official came to stay with me for several days. I knew that several Falun Gong practitioners had tried to clarify the truth to her, but she had refused to accept what they had told her. I took some time thinking of how to let her know the truth. During the following two days I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evils around her so as to awaken her. I also mentioned things that were indirectly related to the truth-clarification. I learned that she likes singing and often sings in senior citizens' choirs. One morning when she had nothing planned I saw my opportunity. I carefully picked up the truth-clarification VCD "Coming for You." Initially she was not willing to listen and sat far away. While sending forth righteous thoughts I said, "You don't have anything planned, so please watch it. It has many good songs." When I played it, the beautiful and moving songs and pictures gradually caught her attention. At the same time I made occasional comments in a soft voice. Gradually she moved her chair forward, closer and closer. In the end she just went to sit in front of the television with her glasses on. After she finished watching she said firmly, with a red face, "Falun Gong will be readdressed for sure."
One time I needed to see the director of a medical school, who was also the chief editor of a journal. Before going I thought and hoped that he would have a chance to listen to me to clarify the truth. Indeed, he had a big office by himself and was reading newspapers. When I talked about Falun Gong he said, "I've been thinking about this issue. Falun Gong has been persecuted for a long time, yet there are still so many people practicing, which proves that it is full of vitality. You haven't come to see me for treatment for so many years, yet you look even more energetic and younger. This practice seems really effective." As we kept talking, he expressed he would like to learn Falun Gong. I showed him the meditation exercise. He immediately started to learn it, and told his assistant not to bother him for the next half hour. He quickly learned the meditation exercise. The next day I went again to give him the exercise instruction CD and exercise music tape. He was very happy and did the meditation exercise in my presence. He said repeatedly, "So great! How relaxed and harmonious!"
Master said,
"Every person in the entire world was at one point part of my family." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")
I thought: I'm Master's disciple, so every person is also part of my family. I must clarify the truth to them as they were part of my family. When clarifying the truth, I didn't consider social class, rank or age. As long as there was a chance I would talk. One time on a bus, a 17-year-old girl asked me where there was a restaurant. She said that her classmates were having a party. After we began to talk I then started to clarify the truth. While listening she unconsciously leaned on me. She listened quietly, putting her head on my shoulder, like a child listening to her mother tell stories. At that time there was no more noise on the bus. Time also seemed to stop. In the over-20-minute ride I talked a lot, and the girl and other passengers also heard a lot. Suddenly, the girl noticed she had put her head on my shoulder and shyly dropped her head. I said to her, "It's all right. It's all predestined relationship." The girl got off the bus at the station. I showed her how to get to the restaurant. She said with a smile, "Aunty, thank you! I heard these things for the first time. When I meet my classmates, I will for sure tell them what you told me."
I made up my mind to find all the people whom I knew from my childhood to the present through various channels, and compiled a list of their names and addresses. Then in six months, I visited each one of them. When it was not possible to visit, I wrote letters. Because of the interference and separations by the old forces in other dimensions, calling for appointments oftentimes didn't work. I would personally go to see them. Some I visited at their homes, and others I visited at their work places. I did not want to disturb them at work, so I mostly arranged to arrive at their offices half an hour before they went off duty or before their lunch break. At noon, I often invited them to have some fast food or a simple meal (Actually, most of the time they insisted on paying their bill).
For some persons I needed to try three or four times to see them, and one of them I tried ten times. When I met her after the tenth try she was very moved, saying, "You don't need to say anything any more. You've come to see me ten times. You are really sincere. I believe that Falun Gong's Truth, Compassion, Forbearance are very good." One classmate lived far away in a suburb. I tried several times before I finally saw her. We talked for the whole afternoon. At parting she held my shoulders and said with tears in her eyes, "Be assured. I understand everything now." My eyes also became wet, and I said to her, "It is good now that you know the truth."
In the course of clarifying the truth, in addition to the hardships along the way, I also ran into all kinds of people. Some said cold words, some sneered at me, some even shut the door in my face, and some of my relatives even swore at me. Sometimes I really felt wronged and upset. I would then recall Master's teachings,
"Wandering around in society is rather torturous. It must beg for food and meet different kinds of people who will scold, insult, or take advantage of it. It might encounter all kinds of things."(Zhuan Falun)
"A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship
Having forged an adamantine will
And with no attachment to living or dying
He walks his path of Fa-rectification openly and nobly."("Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions")
We are Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period. We should do even better than other cultivators. And we have missions. Whenever I think of our missions, the hardships, insults and the feeling of tiredness all vanish. When I clarify the truth with a pure heart, no matter to high ranking officials or to ordinary people, they all slightly lower their heads and listen. I understand that this is listening with respectful attention. All the origins of lives respect and revere Dafa. People have a saying, "A sincere heart will make rocks bloom." When we clarify the truth, the power of Dafa and the sincere heart of Dafa practitioners will certainly move people. Their innermost pure heart will finally be enlightened.
2. "Mailing"
Clarifying the truth face-to-face requires a pure heart. Sending truth mails is the same. Several years ago when I clarified the truth to one of my friends she acted in a negative manner. After a long time talking, she finally spoke her mind. She was designated as an advanced employee in her nationwide work system. Not long after her name was published in a magazine, she received a letter sent from Beijing. Upon opening the letter, she saw that the topic was about Falun Gong, and in the lower part of the flyer it asked the reader to pass it to others, and said that failing to do so or tearing it up could cause misfortune (not the exact words). She was too scared to read it and threw it away immediately. Her husband once practiced a certain qigong when suffering from a tumor, and there was a similar request in the pamphlet. Her husband thus kept passing the message to others, but he still died in the end.
When she knew the truth and had eliminated her doubts, she said that she wanted to practice Falun Gong. This incident greatly touched me. I thought that the mail was sent to her from distant Beijing. How much effort the fellow practitioner had put into it! How many hands it had passed through before it finally reached this lucky person. Yet, with the bit of carelessness in one sentence our truth efforts would end up in vain or accomplish even the opposite of what we wished.
Master said,
"From now on, whatever you do, you should consider others first." ("Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature" from Essentials for Further Advancement)
If we do something without considering others in all aspects and at all times, our hearts/minds are already impure. "Do I have this problem? Have I reached the standard Master required?" I often asked myself. Later, in all my truth-clarification approaches, I often put myself in the other person's place, "If I were the recipient or an audience, what would I think? What feelings would I have?" Thinking about this from the standpoint of the other party, I would immediately discover the problems we should pay attention to. By doing this, the effect of clarifying the truth would often be unexpectedly positive.
In the selection of truth materials we were also very careful. We chose different truth materials for different people in different professions. In previous years in particular, when the truth materials were not so comprehensive, we would discuss and study again and again to decide which materials were most appropriate. We would pore over each word or letter we wrote until we were all satisfied and then send them out. If the contents of the materials were not clear or if there was anything doubtful, or if the printing was not good, we wouldn't send them out. We did not regret it and would rather do it again. One time we thought that certain information about how many police officers "packed up and were sacked" was not suitable and the schedules of one official's trip were not consistent in the information. Practitioners were distributing this in large quantities at that time. We also made many of those. Should we distribute them or not? It was really disturbing. We knew that every word, and every copy of truth materials has a bearing on whether a being can be saved, that it is something of vital importance, and that we should be responsible to the sentient beings. After we clearly understood this, we calmly disposed of these materials. Soon after, the Minghui Weekly also published a practitioner's sharing that he thought that this material was not suitable for circulation.
These few years, I had kept the list of names and addresses that I had collected. After a period of time, I would send these people new truth clarifying materials. I would try to do it a few more times so that people with predestined relationships could understand more about Falun Gong. I was very careful with each procedure involving the making and sending of every letter. The situation in China is very complex and there are many checkpoints to clear. We need to take more care with our tasks. I would never carelessly deposit letters containing truth clarification materials into the mail box. We have sent out countless letters. Many of the letters have successfully reached the addressees. The feedback was also comparatively good. Quantity mass distribution is fast. "Targeted" mailing is relatively slower but it should not be underestimated. A few times at a bigger post office I saw a person who is in charge of distributing and examining letters. He carefully examined all the letters and put aside those that looked suspicious. He rejected many. I thought that this was the first major checkpoint and hurdle at the post office before the letters were sent out. If the letters he picked out and rejected were those that contained truth clarifying materials from Falun Gong practitioners, he would have committed a very big sin as he would have stopped many sentient beings from being rescued. I found out his name and then took pains to select a greeting card that was suitable for him. I also selected truth clarifying materials that were targeted at people in his profession. I even carefully considered and made preparations for the design of the envelope and the way the address was written. I then went to a far away post office to send the letter to him. Making this letter and eventually mailing it took two whole days. My efforts were not wasted. Two weeks later when I saw this postman distributing and examining letters again, he was very quick and to the point. He only picked out and rejected those letters that were obviously overweight. Then he put the rest of the letters in a bag and sent them out.
Despite the weather, rain or shine, I went to the numerous post offices and mail boxes of the entire city several times. Sometimes when I felt tired and felt it was difficult, and when time was tight I would have the thought, "There is no need to be too serious about this. Falun Dafa is super extraordinary. Everything is possible." When this thought came into my mind, I would keep reminding myself "This is the most sacred thing. I must be responsible toward Dafa. Using the Fa to cover up my unwillingness to bear difficulties, tiredness and troublesome tasks is not the state of mind a Falun Dafa practitioner should have. Having such thoughts would also make it easy for the evil beings to take advantage of our loopholes.
During the process of sending letters I also encountered many dangerous situations and unexpected events. One time when I sent out a few letters separately in a certain district I noticed that a tall and well-built man kept following me. When I got on a bus and sat down by the window he also took the same bus and sat behind me. I thus asked for Master's protection and help, thinking I must send all the letters I had brought with me that day. I calmed my mind and sent forth righteous thoughts. When the bus drove through a very long tunnel, I turned my head and saw that an old lady was sitting behind me instead of the tall guy who had followed me earlier. The whole bus was quite empty. That guy could not be seen anywhere in the bus. Miracle! This is indeed "Just a play."
3. "Distribution"
Before distributing truth clarifying materials, we would always pack them very carefully. A fellow practitioner said, "People like intricate things. These truth clarifying materials are the most precious gift that we are giving to people, so we must also make them into intricate things. We feel that the truth materials deserve such care and attention. I frequently go to the market to select the materials that we think suitable for the packing. Sometimes I had to spend a few days. We required that the truth clarifying materials had to be the best, all the way from their contents to their packing. In circumstances where we could financially afford it, we also tried to make the colors match and look harmonious. When your heart is very pure, you will find that you will be able to discover and buy materials that are both beautiful and inexpensive. After a truth clarifying package was made, only when we were satisfied with it from the inside to the outside did we feel that it was a quality product.
The things that Falun Dafa practitioners have touched are shiny and bright, not to mention things there are made with our hearts. When we distributed this type of information to people they were pleased. A few times when they accepted the truth clarifying materials they would say, "Somehow, this gift of yours seems to be shinning somewhat." Non-practitioners have an aware side that is clear-minded and understands. They are waiting to know about Falun Dafa, so how can we not do well? Sometimes when I saw the expectant look in the eyes of the people and the joy they expressed on receiving the truth clarifying materials, I felt that I had done too little.
Master does not wish to leave behind a single person with a predestined relationship. We should also not leave any person with a predestined relationship behind. Once I gave truth-clarifying material to a middle aged man. He said to me sternly, "You take it away! I know what you are giving me." I said calmly, "This is something good! Please take it and take a look. There may not be a chance in the future." He still refused to accept it. When I left him I thought to myself that this person was so negative towards Dafa. I wonder if he would have another chance in the future. Regardless, I still sent forth righteous thoughts and cleared the evil interference around him. Two weeks later I went to a bookshop to distribute truth clarifying materials. I gave them to a man. He did not accept them. He looked at me up and down and kept staring hard at me. I was not afraid. I only hoped that he would accept the precious truth clarifying materials. I used both my hands and held the truth clarifying materials out to him and just stood there. After some time, the look in his eyes suddenly changed. He gladly said, "I will accept these." When I left I recalled that this was the same man who had refused the truth clarifying materials the last time.
Why did I stand there silently in front of him and not go away? I suddenly thought of Master's words,
"I have already delivered it to your doorstep." (Zhuan Falun)
Master does not wish to leave behind a single person with a predestined relationship, thus he let my enlightened side do the job. As a disciple, I am unable to fully illustrate in words Master's boundless compassion. Each time after distributing materials, on the way home, I would find a place and stand there quietly watching the sky. In my mind I would thank Master on behalf of Falun Dafa practitioners and sentient beings! I would ask for protection and help from Master. I would wish that the people with predestined relationships who had received the truth clarifying materials on that day would be able to find the best time and be in the best state of mind to soberly read the materials or watch the VCDs. I hoped that they would understand the truth about Falun Gong and be saved by Master. At the same time I hoped that they would spread and distribute these materials to even more people, so that more people could understand and be rescued. At those moments I would frequently be in tears.
When distributing the truth materials, there were frequently "dangers within dangers," but when our states of mind are pure and calm, and the righteous thoughts are strong, Master will vanquish all the dangers. One time, just as I had finished distributing materials in a residential area and was about to leave to go to another place, I noticed that a security person riding a motorbike had rushed out from another road toward me. He stared at me fiercely and with ill intentions. I sensed he was coming to stop me from leaving and intended to grab me. We were then about one hundred meters from the district's main entrance. He rode down a steep road and rushed toward me. I sent a thought, "Make him unable to catch up with me." Thus, although we could hear the loud sound of the motorbike and the wheels of the bike were spinning very fast, the bike seemed to not move at all. I quickened my steps as I walked out of the main entrance. The a security person rode the motorbike to the entrance and shouted to the doorman, "Just now, there was someone..."
As the quantity of truth materials I distributed increased, from time to time I would have feelings of self-fulfillment. Showing off, accomplishments, irritation and many other attachments would also appear. When I felt excited fellow practitioners would remind me, and I would stop and calm down to study the Fa.
I required myself as if I were a new practitioner and was starting to do the three things from the starting point. I required myself to start afresh, with a heart/mind that is even purer and calmer. I know that Master is leading me up, level by level.
In this way we clarified the truth in a righteous and dignified manner. We went everywhere in an above board and open manner. Year after year and day after day, we walked one journey after another, went to one district after another. Sometimes we walked until our feet were full of blisters. We don't know how many materials we distributed, how many letters we sent, or how many people to whom we clarified the truth. All in all, we just tried our best. Whether the environment was relaxed or mass arrests were occurring all over the city, we basically never stopped. We just steadily persisted and carried on clarifying the truth. I believe the saying, "continuous dripping water can one day penetrate a rock." We have not done feats that shocked the heavens and earth. All that we had done and the numerous truth clarifying materials we handed out were like the water of small streams, quietly flowing everywhere and toward thousands of households. There is no shortcut in cultivation. Similarly, there is no shortcut to clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. We need to do it one by one and with a pure heart/mind. A pure and calm mindset originates from steadfast faith in Dafa and in Master and also arises from righteous thoughts and righteous actions. The more human attachments we let go of, the purer and calmer our hearts will become, and the better will the effects of clarifying the truth be. This is what I feel deeply.
"He comes with the Truth, which gives him full control
And travels the four seas with a free and easy spirit
Spreading the Fa's principles throughout the secular world
Loaded full with sentient beings, his Fa Boat sets sail." ("Tathagata)
On the way to clarifying the truth, I often recite this poem Master wrote, which makes me especially comfortable and at ease.

(Clearwisdom.net) Before establishing a family-based truth-clarification materials center, I mainly focused on distributing Dafa materials and clarifying the truth to people face to face. I like things to be orderly and clean. Therefore, every time before distributing materials, I would check them for typos, whether any pages were missing and whether the booklets were well stapled. I did find many issues in the beginning.
One time I received many fliers. The first three copies on the top looked fine. However, the rest of the more than one hundred copies contained three lines of unreadable characters. In addition, there were ink stains on all of them. They looked so unsightly to me that I had to use a razor to remove the ink stains first and then retyped those unclear lines by hand. I started at 10:00 p.m. and worked until 2:00 a.m. Yet, I only corrected a small number of those copies. I couldn't help but complain inside, "Those practitioners at the materials center should put more heart into what they are doing. How could they send out materials of such bad quality?" I blamed fellow practitioners at the center and thought I was being responsible for the Fa. I totally forgot that cultivation means to look inside and I should search inwardly whenever there are problems. Of course, my xinxing level didn't improve.
Soon after that, I received another batch of booklets. I immediately found some of them had pages stapled incorrectly. I looked at all those two hundred booklets and found that several copies were either missing some pages or had some pages incorrectly stapled. I got upset, "How much time was wasted! How can they be so irresponsible! This is a serious job of saving sentient beings. How can they allow this to happen!" I went to talk to the coordinator and asked him to pass my feedback to the materials center. He disagreed and said the fellow practitioners at the center had already sacrificed a lot. I thought, "OK. I'll provide them with some feedback if you are not willing to do so. I'm being responsible for the Fa."
One year later, some fellow practitioners suggested setting up a materials center at my home. I gladly agreed since we have a computer at home and the reason that we bought it a few years ago was to use it for Dafa projects. However, I waited for a long time hoping to first become an expert on the computer. In fact, I was afraid that going online was not safe. I overcame my attachment of fear and soon got an Internet connection. Fellow practitioners brought me a printer and I started to learn how to go online to download materials and make truth-clarification fliers and booklets.
Things went smoothly in the beginning. However, the printer didn't work well recently. It either couldn't print anything out or the printing result was unacceptable. I panicked since I had high expectations for myself. I sent forth righteous thoughts, but it didn't help. I sent in the printer for repair and maintenance. However, it would work for a while and then not work again. I sent forth righteous thoughts again. Still it didn't help. Then I sent in the printer for repair again. I was busy running between home and the print shop while fellow practitioners complained that they expected more materials from me. When I yet again sent in the printer for repair, the boss of the printer shop said, "I'm now afraid of seeing you send in your printer again for repair since your printer is such a big headache for us."
I wanted to have a good cry when I got home. However, I only cried a little before I suddenly remembered what Teacher said,
"...when someone wants to cultivate, it's no walk in the park. I've said that it's a serious thing, and on top of that, it's higher than ordinary people, and it's tougher to do than anything ordinary people do." (Zhuan Falun)
I realized that cultivation is difficult and I didn't have time to cry since sentient beings were waiting for me to save them. I needed to get rid of my attachments. Teacher said that Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts were effective. How come my sending forth righteous thoughts didn't seem to help? I calmed down and decided to do nothing that day but look inside and study the Fa. In the next two days, I dug out many attachments.
1. A strong attachment of doing the job. When I started, I decided that I would provide fellow practitioners with sufficient and high-quality materials. We had about thirty practitioners in our area and it wasn't easy to achieve my goals. I didn't pay enough attention to studying the Fa. Eventually, I took cultivation as a job and started to take making materials as an everyday person's job.
2. A strong attachment to competition. I always thought the materials that I received before had low quality and decided that I would do a better job to make the materials look neat. However, this wasn't out of a compassionate heart to try to save more sentient beings, but to try to get praised and beat other practitioners. When fellow practitioners asked, "The materials that you brought look great. Who did it?" I didn't say anything, yet I felt proud of myself and it was an attachment of elation.
3. I had an attachment of pursuit. When I met difficulties and sending forth righteous thoughts didn't seem to help, instead of looking inside to deny the old forces' arrangements and cultivating myself, I simply asked Teacher for help and wished Teacher would take care of everything for me.
4. I had a deeply buried attachment of validating myself. One of my fellow practitioners obtained a copy machine. However, none of the practitioners dared to keep it at home. Eventually, that copy machine failed to work. Meanwhile, I myself dared to go online and download materials and print them out. Therefore when they came to my home to pick up materials, I felt they were not as good as I was as a Dafa practitioner. My attachment of elation controlled me and I couldn't help showing off to myself, "Look how great I am! I'm so capable! Nobody is better than I am. I have great mighty virtue!" Validating the Fa is a sacred and great thing. Yet I took it as a way to show off myself. To some degree, I was following the path arranged by the old forces. I was able to occasionally realize that it was a bad notion and an arrangement by the old forces. However, still I strengthened and raised the degenerated elements because I didn't look inside when studying the Fa.
5. I came to realize that those fellow practitioners making truth-clarification materials did sacrifice a lot when I started to do their job. I used to simply wait and depend on them while not accommodating them, and I even picked on them and complained against them. I brought so much pressure on them. Criticizing fellow practitioners is not wrong, however I did so because of my attachment of trying to be neat instead of out of a heart of saving sentient beings.
6. I didn't regularly practice Dafa exercises because of the attachment of pursuing comfort and being lazy. I even used what Teacher said as excuses for my not being diligent.
7. I have a hot temper. Actually, a hot temper resulted from the bad side of my nature. I got mad at my child very often. My child is a Dafa practitioner also. Whenever we read the following paragraph when we studied the Fa, he would say, "Teacher is talking to you." Here is that paragraph from Zhuan Falun,
"If you have a bad temper then just change it. Practitioners have to endure. Some people blow up even when they're disciplining their kids, they'll yell and make a big scene. You don't have to be like that when you're disciplining your kids. You shouldn't really get angry. You should teach your kids with reason and good sense, and that's the only way you can really teach them well."
Finally I came to realize that the root cause of my shortcomings was that I didn't study the Fa enough and therefore I forgot my responsibilities as a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple. After I dug out my above attachments and decided to eliminate them, the printer started to work and it has been working very well since. When I saw copies and copies of clean and neat materials get printed out, I no longer had the thought that I did it but thanked Teacher since I knew Teacher is doing everything.
I couldn't help my tears when I wrote this. Teacher, I fell far behind my fellow practitioners. However, I've decided to eliminate all my attachments and catch up with you.
Let's encourage each other with what Teacher said in his article "Further Understanding,"
"Do you realize that as long as you're a cultivator, in any environment or under any circumstances, I will use any troubles or unpleasant things you come across--even if they involve work for Dafa, or no matter how good or sacred you think they are--to eliminate your attachments and expose your demon-nature so that it can be eliminated, for your improvement is what's most important." (Essentials for Further Advancement)

I became a Falun Dafa practitioner in May 1997. During the past nine years, I have experienced Teacher's benevolence and Falun Dafa's miracles.
Before practicing Falun Gong, I often had headaches, and the pain was beyond description. After I started practicing Falun Gong, I truly experienced the joy of being healthy. I used to be a rather difficult person both at work and at home, and nobody dared to cause trouble for me. One time, someone hit me inadvertently, and I asked her to apologize. When she refused, I slapped her on her face. After I started practicing Falun Gong, I understood how to treat others kindly by following Teacher's words.
On a different occasion, in a shopping mall, when browsing a vendor's merchandise, the merchant cursed at me because I did not buy anything. When my younger sister saw that, she was about to fight with him. At that moment, Teacher's words came to my mind,
"As a practitioner, the first thing you should be able to do is to not fight back when you are beaten or sworn at--you must be tolerant. Otherwise, what kind of practitioner will you be?" (Zhuan Falun)
I pulled my younger sister aside, and avoided the confrontation. Bystanders thought that I was going to fight with that merchant myself, but unexpectedly, I came up to him and told him in a calm voice: "You only swore at me today. Even if you hit me, I wouldn't fight back." Those bystanders looked at the merchant and laughed, and they said to him, "Looks like you have run into a 'master' today!"
Another time, a new practitioner went with my daughter and me to a nearby village to distribute truth-clarification materials. While sending forth righteous thoughts, one of my attachments popped up without my noticing it. I thought that we were going to a place where I used to live and hand out materials to my old neighbors, and nobody would have guessed that I was a great Dafa practitioner! With such a strong showing off mentality, I went all the way to the far end of the village. I skipped many houses, passing them by because I wanted to find the street where I used to live.
As soon as we finished handing out truth-clarification materials and were heading out, a motorcycle came up behind us, and I lost all my righteous thoughts. I said to myself, "Is this motorcycle coming for us?" When the motorcycle headed towards another road, I said to myself again, "Does he wants to get ahead of us using another road in order to see who we are?" Sure enough, this motorcycle went to the main road, then turned around, headed towards us, and passed right by us. I was reciting Teacher's Fa rectification formulas at that time, and I did not recognize my strong attachment
On the afternoon of the following day, my daughter came home from school, and told me that her aunt knew that we went out and passed out truth-clarification materials. I was shocked. Actually the person we ran into last night happened to be my aunt's coworker, and it was he who told her aunt about what we did last night. Nothing happens without a reason. At that time, I started looking inside to find where I fell short. I realized that everything changed according to my mind. Master said at Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A., "As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." When thinking about this, I could not help feeling scared, if it were not for Teacher's benevolence and care, last night when I went out with such a strong attachment to distribute truth-clarification materials, I cannot imagine the trouble I might have run into.
Thinking about Teacher's Fa, I realized my shortcomings. Teacher said in Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston,
"The best way to deal with this situation is for Dafa disciples to walk their paths righteously, to try their best not to let the evil or the old forces take advantage of their gaps, and to solidify their righteous thoughts. The old forces don't dare to oppose our clarifying the truth or saving sentient beings. What's key is to not let them take advantage of the gaps in your state of mind when you do things."
I kept that lesson in mind. Afterwards, when I handed out truth-clarification materials, I felt Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's mighty power again. That night, before I went out, I sent forth righteous thoughts, and I sent forth righteous thoughts while on my way. Then I turned into a building. When I heard someone opening the door on the second floor and about to come out, I had no attachments but only strong righteous thoughts. I thought, "I will not allow any evil to prevent me from validating the Fa and saving sentient beings. As a result, instead of coming downstairs, he went upstairs. He was ahead of me walking all the way to the top and then entered an apartment, so that I managed to distribute materials from the top all the way down with success.
Once, when passing out flyers, I turned into a building and walked up to the second floor. Immediately I saw two people entering the building after me. I stood there and started to send forth righteous thoughts to stop them from going upstairs, so I could hand out flyers to the tenants in this building. They stopped at the turn of the first floor, as if they remembered something all of a sudden. Then they started talking to each other. I thought maybe they forgot to put their bicycles into their sheds. As they walked towards the entrance of the building, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to prevent them from coming back after putting away their bicycles. As a result, I heard them talking about something beside the entrance of the building, and their voices became weaker and weaker. Apparently, they were leaving the building, and I was very excited. I again felt the miracle of Dafa and the power of righteous thoughts. Teacher was by my side!
For the past nine years, I have felt at every moment that Teacher's benevolence and Dafa's miracles are something beyond description in human language! My fellow practitioners and I are from an isolated small town in Bohai City. We will remember Teacher's words and follow the Fa diligently. We will apply Teacher's Fa to our every word and action. We will keep our hearts and souls in the Fa, and not let Teacher's benevolence and expectation of saving sentiment beings down. We will accomplish our sacred responsibilities for being Fa-rectification Dafa disciples, follow Teacher's Fa-rectification process, and walk our path well with Dafa practitioners all over the world.

(Clearwisdom.net) When exchanging experiences with fellow practitioners, they suggested that I write down two fellow practitioners' stories. It may help some practitioners, and it is also my responsibility to the Minghui (Clearwisdom) website.
Practitioner Zou obtained the Fa ten years ago. She once was a volunteer Falun Gong exercise site assistant. Before 1999, she did a lot of things for Dafa, and she was dedicated to spreading Dafa. After the persecution of Dafa started, the police stayed at her house and stayed in a car downstairs to monitor her. She could not find any fellow practitioners, and she became confused. From then on, the police unceasingly harassed her. In 2002, she was greatly shocked when she saw that some of her fellow practitioners were arrested and sent to a forced labor camp. She found a job to keep her busy every day. The time she gave to Dafa was limited. When she saw the fellow practitioners, she said she was still practicing, but "the time spent clarifying the truth is less." This spring when I saw her, she was filled with anxiety because her husband had been made to retire early. She also said her parents who lived in countryside did not have any income and her son hadn't gotten married yet. Her human emotional ties appeared to be very strong.
In October I heard that she had a stroke and was hospitalized. After her husband lost his job in May, they went back to their hometown in the countryside. After that, it was discovered that she had breast cancer. Then suddenly she had a serious stroke. Right now she is lying in bed and cannot move. She cannot say a word clearly and cannot communicate with others. She had been taken advantage of by the evil because of her severe attachments. She still cannot give up the attachments, but still claims she is a practitioner. The result is that she holds onto godhood on one hand while she is still attached to humanness on the other. It also negatively affected Dafa.
Fellow practitioner Cheng is 78 years old this year. After the persecution began, she saw that fellow practitioners were arrested and sent to a forced labor camp. The attachment of fear controlled her. She had joined the "Communist Youth League " in her childhood. Her family background was that of a landowner, and she had graduated from a university and was an intellectual (landowners and intellectuals were most severely persecuted during the Cultural Revolution). She had even been imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution. She was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) her whole life, and even her children were implicated. Thus, she was very afraid of the police. She stopped practicing for more than a year. During this period, she was hospitalized many times. She became very frail and began to look much older than before. She also said that she sent forth righteous thoughts, but it did not cure her illness. When she practiced the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts, she could feel something tightening in her lower back, and it caused shortness of breath.
After she exchanged experiences with fellow practitioners and read Master's recent articles, she gave up her attachments to illness. She intensively studied the Fa every day. When her daughter did not let her read, she said, "My life is given to me by Master. As long as I am alive, I will study the Fa. I will not be attached to illness anymore." Then she led her entire family to withdraw from the CCP, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers League.
I went to see her in October of this year. Her change surprised me. She looked like a completely new person. Her complexion was rosy and her eyes sparkled. Her illness is completely gone. She is no longer thin and frail. When she saw me, she did not talk about her health like before. Instead, all she was concerned with was other practitioners' matters. Just because of her firm and righteous faith in Master and Dafa, she was completely changed.
The different thoughts of two fellow practitioners brought about totally opposite results. It made me see this issue more clearly. The cultivation of Dafa is very serious. Only when we follow Master's instruction and keep righteous thoughts and righteous actions all the time, can we continue to walk on the path of cultivation. From fellow practitioners, I witnessed Dafa's miraculous and supernatural quality. What Master looks at is our heart and mind.
In the critical time of our Fa-rectification cultivation, I hope all of our practitioners can cultivate more diligently. We cannot let the old forces and dark minions use the so-called "test" to destroy Dafa disciples anymore. I hope all of us can follow Master home.

This is a story about a new practitioner from Mainland China. Even a new practitioner who has cultivated for a short period of time can exhibit mighty power when he has enough righteous thoughts.
Mr. Zhang lives in Hubei Province and just started to practice Falun Dafa this year. Since he started the practice, he has been very steadfast and diligent, and he has been making rapid progress. Soon after he started the practice, he went out to clarify the truth and save sentient beings.
One day when Mr. Zhang was clarifying the truth at a market, two police officers spotted him. One of them yelled out, "What are you doing?" Mr. Zhang replied righteously, "I am doing good deeds and saving people!" The police shouted, "If you speak again, I'll use my electric baton!" While shouting, he lifted the electric baton and pointed it towards Mr. Zhang.
Mr. Zhang was full of righteous thoughts. He calmly and solemnly said, "Let the electric baton hit him." Although his voice was low, its power was not. As soon as the words were spoken, the police officer fell to the ground. The other police officer hurried to help his companion up. Under Teacher's protection, Mr. Zhang returned home safely.
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 10, 2005, International Human Rights Day, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners in the Bay Area rallied at Union Square to condemn the CCP's grave violation of human rights and demand punishment of the Hebei policeman who raped two women practitioners on November 25, 2005. A representative of the United Nations Association of the USA Santa Cruz Chapter voiced the organization's support for Falun Gong at the rally.

According to Dr. Sherry Zhang, while the UN Special Rapporteur of Torture was conducting an investigation in China on torture, Hebei policeman He Xuejian raped two women practitioners. In the evening of November 24, 2005, police from the Dongchengfang Town Police Station, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province took into custody two women Falun Gong practitioners from Xitong Village, Dongchengfang Town, including Ms. Liu Jizhi (51 years old) and Ms. Han Yuzhi (42 years old), from their respective homes. At Dongchengfang Town Police Station, the two women were brutally tortured during interrogation. On the afternoon of the following day, a policeman named He Xuejian raped Ms. Liu Jizhi and Ms. Han Yuzhi during the so-called "official investigation."
Over the past more than six years of persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP, many unlawfully detained women Falun Gong practitioners have been sexually harassed and raped:
Dr. Zhang pointed out that the Chinese Communist Regime has consistently violated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, even though the regime ratified it. During his first-ever visit to China, the UN Special Rapporteur of Torture found that torture is still widespread.
"The international community should not tolerate the atrocities committed by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and we should take action to stop it." Zhang stated.

At the rally, Jim Morley of the United Nations Association said that today is the 57th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a time to review the declaration. "It is specified in Article 5 that 'No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment,'" Mr. Morley said.
Mr. Morley stressed that it was crucial that any country, including China, not torture citizens.
Practitioner Li Yu drove from Sacramento to join the rally. She said, "Today is International Human Rights Day and is in fact a sad day, as torture is still happening as I speak. The freedom that we have in the U.S. reminds us how precious human rights are. In China, so many kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted for their belief and have been deprived of their basic rights."
"Falun Gong practitioners have been continuously calling on the public to pay close attention to the persecution in the past 6 years. The brutality of the CCP is unacceptable and we shall speak out together and take immediate action to stop the persecution," Yu added.
During the rally, practitioners also staged an anti-torture exhibition with real-life models and displayed many photos that detailed the brutality of the persecution.

Lauren passed by the rally site. She cried after she saw the exhibition. She said: "This is 2005! This kind of torture should stop and should not happen anymore." Lauren also signed a petition letter to call for an end to the persecution.
Upon seeing the photo of Liu Jizhi's lower body, which was covered with bruises due to torture and sexual abuse, a lady in her 40s said with great emotion, "This is inhumane! This is inhumane..." She cried. Another gentleman then told her: "On the other side, there are more photos of tortured women and children." They viewed the photos one by one and read the descriptions carefully. They repeatedly said: "They are inhumane! These things have to be stopped!"
After viewing the anti-torture exhibition, San Francisco citizen Mike told practitioners: "This is an effective way, really good. I am deeply impressed. Keep it up!" He said that he had read news about Falun Gong in the past. Mike also signed the petition to support the practitioners' efforts.

We organized two Falun Gong information days in the Austrian cities of Vienna and Linz in the past two weeks. In Vienna we had the opportunity to speak with a former Federal Chancellor. We told him in detail about the inhuman persecution in China and gave him lots of information before he left. Of most interest to passersby was our poster exhibition, which recounted the Falun Gong story and the persecution that practitioners of Falun Gong suffer in China.
One lady was deeply shocked when she heard about the brutal persecution in China. She told us that she considered all the things we were doing of the greatest importance. Before leaving she signed each of our petitions.
A gentleman who stopped at our booth watched the Falun Gong exercises and smiled. One of the practitioners asked him if he would like to take a newspaper and more information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Without moving his eyes from the practitioner he took the newspaper and said, "This looks so peaceful and beautiful. What a surprise to find something that exudes such peace in today's hectic environment." He stayed for a little longer with us and finally moved on with a happy smile on his face.
An older lady, who experienced the reign of National Socialism in Austria in
her childhood, showed deep concern and shock at the persecution of practitioners
in China. She said, "In China it is like what happened here 60 years ago.
At that time defenseless and innocent people were arrested and no one could help
them." Before leaving the booth, she wished the practitioners all the best.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand participated in the Christmas Parade in North Shore, New Zealand on Dec. 4, 2005. Their procession was warmly received.
(Clearwisdom.net) At this time we have the ability to practice together twice a week in Stavanger. When we meet at the practice site we usually do the five Falun Gong exercises and there has been less time to study the Fa together. To get some more time together and to give priority to the three things Master has told us to do, we have now rented a community house for use on Sundays four hours each week. Here, both veteran and new practitioners get together, along with their families and children. New practitioners get the opportunity to read articles, listen to Master Li's lectures and watch the introductory video. In the future we will organize a Minghui School for the children.
The gatherings on Sundays have just started, and the activities we want to do are not yet settled. However we can already feel a change. It is now easier to do Falun Gong activities.
On a Sunday at the beginning of October, we decided to go for a walk to Dalsnuten, a mountain in Stavanger. The purpose was to hike up the mountain and show hikers in the Stavanger area the five Falun Gong exercises. The weather forecast wasn't good and early that morning the rain was pouring down, but the weather later turned out fine. On the top of the mountain we placed some posters about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Nearby, four to five practitioners started doing the exercises. One practitioner handed out fliers to the hikers. Some of the hikers thought it was strange to do exercises on top of a mountain, but the feedback was positive and many people took the opportunity to study the posters closely.
It was a successful hike, where both practitioners and their families felt they had a precious opportunity when hiking up the mountain. Additionally more people got to learn about Falun Gong on top of a mountain on their Sunday hike. After this hike we began thinking that such activities could be even better if we were to include the family members of the practitioners as well.

(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Dafa Society in National Dong Hwa University had a field trip on November 27, 2005. Four members of the Falun Gong Society in Dong Hwa, one practitioner from the Tzuchi College of Technology and a college student who hadn't started cultivation participated in the field trip. Li Jianhao, president of the Falun Dafa Society, said that this field trip aimed to build friendships and introduce Falun Dafa to more college students.

The Falun Dafa Society at Dong Hwa University was established in 2002. Members do group exercises in the mornings and study the Fa together once a week. They also participate in fairs at the university, garden parties, exhibitions and field trips.

Besides visiting beautiful scenic places, they studied the Fa during the break, did group exercises and gave out Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials. The activity ended at 3:00 p.m. Li said that they planned to distribute flyers on the street and collect signatures for their next activity. It will help more Taiwanese learn the true story of Falun Gong.

Falun Dafa groups are growing rapidly in Taiwanese universities. Forty to fifty universities have established Falun Dafa groups. Many professors and students are involved. More than 120 college students, both undergraduates and graduates, participated in the Second Falun Dafa University Workshop held in the National Chiao Tung University from July 29 to July 31.

Since Falun Dafa was introduced in Taiwan in April 1995, three hundred thousand people have begun cultivating in Falun Dafa. They include professors, doctors, lawyers, engineers, government officials, policemen, factory workers, farmers, businessmen, students, housewives and members from all parts of society. In National Taiwan University alone, there are dozens of professors, staff members and graduate students practicing Falun Gong. Falun Dafa workshops during summer and winter breaks are welcomed by education bureaus, principals and teachers in different counties. The Minghui Children's School, Minghui classes and summer camps have received great feedback from students and their parents.

Last month the Amsterdam China Festival did not make any reference to the human rights situation in China. An exhibition in the city hall now puts a finger on this sore spot.
Yesterday afternoon an exhibition was opened in the Amsterdam city hall under the title Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, which exposes China's human rights situation. People are injected with drugs, cigarette butts are pressed out on their bodies, dogs are unleashed at meditating people and innocent women are whipped.
The artists at this exhibition all practice Falun Dafa, also called Falun Gong, a traditional Chinese exercise method for refinement of both mind and body. It is a movement under heavy fire in China. After Falun Dafa was introduced in 1992 by Li Hongzhi, the teachings became immensely popular with tens of millions of practitioners.
When the movement threatened to become bigger than the Chinese Communist Party in 1999, the government took measures. Quick and cruel, just like after the massive student protests of 1989. Since then the followers of Falun Gong are systematically persecuted, tortured and even murdered.
The exhibition is organised by the Falun Gong movement itself. Both the timing and the location of this exhibition are remarkable. Last month dozens of sites in Amsterdam were all dedicated to the Amsterdam China Festival.
The festival, supported by Embassies and Ministries of China and The Netherlands, had to be mainly a cultural event. Almost no criticism was expressed of the Chinese political situation and the place where the persecution of Falun Gong is happening. It was mostly about the rulers of the past. The notorious student demonstration from 1989 was also not addressed.
At the Falun Gong exhibition there was explicit attention to the human rights situation in China. Some of the artists have personally experienced the persecution.
Their experiences and scores of reports of arrests, torture and murder are the subjects for the paintings. "They embody a triumphal spirit of compassion, forbearance and the upholding of universal principle amidst pain and suffering", according to the organisation.

2. [Beijing City] More Facts about the Persecution of the Couple Bai Shaohua and Ji Lei
On September 28, 2005, Mr. Bai Shaohua was arrested at a place out of town. In the evening, about ten police officers waited at the place where Ms. Ji Lei lives and arrested her when she returned home after work. Another practitioner with the last name of Wang, who lived at her house, was also illegally arrested. The police search left the house in a big mess.
Now, both Ji Lei and Bai Shaohua are detained at the Qinghe Detention Center. Only Ji Lei's 70-year-old mother-in-law and her six-year-old child are left at home.
3. [Shanxi Province] Liu Changsheng from Taiyuan City Illegally Arrested
On the afternoon of September 27, 2005, Mr. Liu Changsheng (about 40 years old) from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province was reported when he distributed truth clarifying materials at his workplace. He was arrested by police from the city's national security agency.
4. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Chen Aizhen and Chen Aimin Arrested
On October 11, 2005, police officers Lian Rihong and Yang Hongbin from the Political Security Brigade of the Chengan County Police Bureau unlawfully broke into the house of Ms. Chen Aizhen at Chengguandongbei Village, Chengan Town and arrested her. Subsequently, they went to her sister Chen Aimei's house and arrested her as well. Her sister was released later on the same day. However, Chen Aizhen was still held in detention.

5. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Liu Ying and Others Arrested and Fined by Xinhua Sub-Police Bureau
At about 10 a.m. on September 23, 2005, police officer Zhang Guofu from the Xinhua Sub-police Bureau and Hui Feng from the Office of Crime Prevention broke into the Petroleum Refinery Factory and arrested Ms. Liu Ying, Mr. Li Tieniu and Mr. Li's wife. The police took them to their homes and forcibly ransacked them. They also took the computer used by their children to do homework. Later they took Liu Ying and her husband to the Xinhua Sub-police Bureau.
After strong protests from their relatives, Li Tieniu was released the next day but was fined 7000 yuan. Liu Ying was sent to the second detention center for further torture. Now Liu Ying is forced to do hard labor every day and she rarely has a chance to see her family.
Also on the 23rd, the police returned to the refinery, ransacked Mr. Xing Mingxin's house and took him to the Sub-police Bureau. He was later released after being fined 1000 yuan.
On the same day, a police officer with the last name of Deng, from the Daodong Police Station, went to Mr. Mo Zhanglin's house on the pretext of completing a resident inspection. They found Dafa books there and called the station to get five more police officers to arrest Mr. Zhanglin. Later, his family had to bail him out by paying 3000 yuan.

Now they are detained in the Chaoyang Detention Center of Beijing.

On October 10, 2005, Ms. Ni Yuchun from the Yangtze River Wuhan Electronic Communication Management Bureau in Wuhan City was arrested by the party secretary of her work unit and the 610 Office. Her whereabouts are not clear at this time.
19. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Zhang Qingxi from Quan Village, Yuanshi County, Arrested and Sent to the City Forced Labor Camp
On March 24, 2005, Ms. Zhang Qingxi from Quan Village, Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City was tricked into leaving her house and was sent for no reason to the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp. Her husband has just returned home after four years of homelessness due to the persecution.
20. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Liu Yunpeng Arrested and Detained
At about 11 a.m. on October 14, 2005, Mr. Liu Yunpeng from the Institute of Chemical Engineers in Huludao City, Liaoning Province was arrested at work by the national security bureau and the police bureau 610 Office. He is now detained in the Huludao City Detention Center.
21. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] The Houses of Li Fangui and Others Illegally Searched
On October 9, 2005, the house of Mr. Li Fanggui from the Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City in Henan Province was illegally searched for a whole day. Several Falun Dafa books were taken away. Since Li Fanggui was not at home at the time, the police arrested his brother. In addition, the house of Ms. Wang Aizhi, and her husband, Mr. He Jinliang, was also ransacked. No "evidence" was found, but the couple is still being monitored by the police.

1. [Chongqing] Mr. He Hai'ou Stages a Hunger Strike; His Life Is in Peril
In October 2000, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. He Hai'ou from Chongqing was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment only because he clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to people. He and his family members have not received the verdict. His family members went to Chongqing Intermediate Court to ask for the verdict but were refused an answer.
During the past five years Mr. He has suffered from all kinds of excruciating tortures. His faith in Falun Dafa has never wavered a bit. In order to resist the illegal imprisonment Mr. He Hai'ou has staged a ten-day hunger strike. At present his life is in peril and he has been sent to a hospital for a transfusion.
Mr. He Hai'ou is being held at the No. 2 Prison in the Danzishi District, South Bank, Chongqing.
2. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Song Licheng Sentenced to Ten Years of Imprisonment
Practitioner Mr. Song Licheng from Yangquan City has been living in exile in Datong City. Police from Datong City arrested him and personnel from the Yangquan City Court sentenced him to ten years of imprisonment.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qi Mingli Suffers Cruel Torture at the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp
On May 1, 2005, personnel from the Jinzhou City National Security Bureau arrested practitioner Mr. Qi Mingli. They later broke one of his legs. Mr. Qi is staging a hunger strike at the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp to protest the illegal detention.
The camp guards forced Mr. Qi to read brainwashing materials. He has been severely tortured and also has scabies all over his body. His vision is blurry and because of a partial disability in his right leg he is unable to walk properly. Camp officials have refused requests from his family members to bail him out for hospitalization and additionally refused their request to visit him. A little while ago, the forced labor camp officials collaborated with local police station personnel and arrested Mr. Qi's mother-in-law, who had come to visit him, and threatened her.

At around 7:00 p.m. on July 19, 2004, special agents from the Chongqing City National Security Bureau secretly arrested practitioners Wang Jingfei, Hong Dongqiang and Ms. Chen Chunyan and two other practitioners at Hong Dongqiang's home.
Wang Jingfei, Hong Dongqiang and Ms. Chen Chunyan are being held at the Chongqing City Detention Center. The other two practitioners were later released. After being held for nearly a year, Wang Jingfei was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment, Hong Dongqiang to four years, and Chen Chunyan to three-and a-half years. The three practitioners, who graduated from Chongqing University, are incarcerated at Yongchuan Prison in Chongqing.
5. [Honghezhou County, Yunnan Province] Police from Gejiu City Arrest Ms. Yang Wenyun at Home
At around 5:00 p.m. on November 24, 2005, personnel from the Gejiu City Police Department and from the Kafang Town Police Station broke into practitioner Ms. Yang Wenyun's home and arrested her in front of her husband. The police didn't answer when questioned for the reason. They also confiscated some Falun Dafa books. Ms. Yang's family members have asked the Gejiu City Police Department to release her.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xue Xiuhua Electrically Shocked into Unconsciousness
On November 9, 2005, because practitioner Ms. Xue Xiuhua from Tumen City refused to write an article defaming Dafa, three policemen including Wei Dan dragged her out of her cell. Ms. Xue was shouting, "Falun Dafa is good" when she was removed from her cell. Later we only heard the sound of Ms. Xue's struggling while it seemed she was choking. Then we heard nothing. We have since learned that this practitioner was shocked so severely that she became comatose.
7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Police from the Songshan District Arrest Three Practitioners
On November 22, 2005, officers from the Songshan District Police Department, Chifeng City, the Inner Mongolian AR, made an arrest. They arrested practitioner Wang Xiaodong who was walking along a street around 10:00 a.m.
Past 6:00 p.m. that same day, they broke into the home of the Yang Dong and Gao Yalu couple and arrested them as well as practitioner Ms. Sun Shufang and held them at the Songshan District Detention Center.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Latest Information Regarding Practitioner Ms. Yang Lijuan
On November 9, 2005, practitioner Ms. Yang Lijuan's 81-year-old mother went to the Heizuizi Women Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province, to visit her daughter. Officers denied her permission to visit with the excuse that Ms. Yang had behaved poorly, such as shouting Falun Dafa affirmations and sending forth righteous thoughts. On November 23, 2005, Ms. Yang's mother and daughter went to the forced labor camp again to visit her. The guards said that Ms. Yang didn't do the forced labor or eat. Her family found that Ms. Yang seemed to suffer from a mental disorder.
9. [Bamiantong, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qu Bo and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
In the middle of November 2005, personnel from the local National Security Team and the police station arrested three practitioners from Bamiantong in Heilongjiang Province, including Mr. Qu Bo and Mr. Miu Shujun. They took a computer and a printer from Miu Shujun's home, as well as all Falun Dafa books and informational materials.
10. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Arrest Practitioners Liu Xiaoxu and Wang Yuzhi
At around 5:00 p.m. on November 25, 2005, six or seven persons from the Shuangyashan City Police Department in Heilongjiang Province broke into the Student Assistant Station run by practitioners Liu Xiaoxu and Wang Yuzhi in Shuangyashan City. They ransacked the place and confiscated "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" and Falun Dafa books without a search warrant. They arrested the two practitioners and held them in a detention center.
11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] The Xing Zhiyi and Sheng Guoping Couple Held in the Yuhua District Brainwashing Center
On around November 17, 2005, personnel from the 610 Office and police from the Yuhau District, Nanjing City arrested the practitioner couple Xing Zhiyi and Sheng Guoping from their home and took them to the district brainwashing center.
12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Feiyan Probably Sent to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Zhou Feiyan is a bus ticket saleswoman working for the Xizhanren Bus Company in Changsha City. On November 15, 2005, when Ms. Zhou was resting during a break at the Dongtang Company office, personnel from the police station affiliated with the bus company arrested her and sent her into the Changqiao City Detention Center. It is said that Ms. Zhou has been sent to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp.
13. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jiang Guangqian Arrested For Distributing Falun Dafa Truth-Clarifying Materials
During the afternoon of November 4, 2005, practitioner Mr. Jiang Guangqian went out to distribute Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials, but someone reported him. "110" police (similar to the "911" emergency squad) brought him into the Huangzong Police Station. Late at night the police transferred him to the Chengdu City Detention Center for criminal lock-up. He has since been transferred to the Chengdu City National Security Team.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Teacher Mr. Zhang Xiuke Sent to a Brainwashing Center for Openly Quitting the Chinese Communist Party
Mr. Zhang Xiuke is a teacher at Harbin City's No. 125 Secondary School. He was sent to a brainwashing center for openly announcing his resignation from CCP.
15. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] The Police Arrest Mr. Cheng Guangcan and Searched His House Twice
On November 22, 2005, a group of officers from the Jiangnan No.2 Police Precinct in the Ningjiang District of Songyuan City broke into practitioner Mr. Cheng Guangcan's house when no one was at home. They searched the house for the second time without having any reason to do so.
Practitioner Mr. Cheng Guangcan, 49 years old, is an employee of the Jilin Province Oil Field. They arrested him near his home for practicing Falun Gong. The arresting officials were Wang Jiang and others from the Political and Security Section of the Songjiang Police Station in the Jiangnan District. At the same time Wang Jiang searched his house. They confiscated a laptop, a set of Dafa videos, a set of exercise tapes, a cell phone and almost 1,000 yuan in cash. Mr. Cheng is currently being incarcerated at the Songyuan City Detention Center.
16. [Anhui Province] Practitioner Mr. Han Zhong Sentenced to Forced Labor for the Fourth Time
Mr. Han Zhong is being detained at the No.2 Team of the Danshan Division, the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp in Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, because he refused to give up his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Police officers Chen Maolong and Lu Shichun openly instructed prisoners to beat Mr. Han many times. After beating him, they took off all his clothes, claiming that Mr. Has was "making trouble." With two prisoners holding Mr. Han, Wang Kunlun, the deputy head, shocked Mr. Han's face, head and body with an electric baton. Police officer Huang Zhijiang also shocked him. Practitioner Han was tortured every day until late at night. He was permitted less than four hours sleep every day. Due to the long-term inhuman torture, Mr. Han Zhong is extremely weak.

1. Prisoners Encouraged to Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners,
Almost Killing Them
Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, several hundred Falun Dafa
practitioners have been tortured in the Jiangxi Province Women's Labor Camp. One
day in November 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Huaying (28 years old)
went on hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was beaten and kicked by
three prisoners, pressed down on the floor to be forced-fed, and stepped on and
kicked by the prisoners, almost killing her. Another Falun Dafa practitioner who
resisted the persecution, Ms. Wu Jingjun, almost died when she was also brutally
beaten while being hung up by handcuffs.

Extortion in the Gongyi City Brainwashing Session in Henan Province

3. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Zhengwen Arrested and
Brutally Tortured
On November 22, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Zhengwen from Xishui
County, Hubei Province was illegally arrested. After going through much trouble,
Mr. Li Zhengwen's mother (over 70 years old) was finally allowed to visit her
son. She found her son very weak with his head falling backwards. The buttons of
his shirt and pants were all undone and he had to be helped by two policemen in
order to even stand. Upon seeing her son, Mr. Li's mother cried, "How could
you torture him so badly? My son was not like this before!"

4. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xiong Quanlin Arrested and
Brutally Tortured
On the morning of July 9, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiong Quanlin from
Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, was arrested by police from the Jianxin County
Police Department. He has been detained in Jianxin County Detention Center for
the past four months. On October 24, 2005, his family was allowed to visit him
for the first time. They learned that Mr. Xiong had been tortured for three
whole days when first arrested. He was beaten with a metal stick, shocked with
an electric baton, and forced to sit on the tiger bench. His entire
body was swollen. He was forced to sign his name by policeman Deng Kangyuan
(male), who held the pen in his hand when he was not conscious. The police used
this signature as "evidence" in order to sentence Xiong Quanlin to
prison on November 28, 2005.
