Czech Republic: Practitioners Hold Peaceful Protest During Wen Jiabao's Visit to Prague (Photo)

Press conference held in front of the main entrance of the Czech Premier's office


From December 8 to 9, 2005, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. During the course of Wen Jiabao's participation in a ceremony with government dignitaries hosted by the Czech Premier, the Czech government and police gave full support to Falun Gong practitioners and allowed them to hold various activities to expose the persecution in China. Practitioners were granted permission to hold a press conference in front of the Premier's office building where the ceremony was being held. Many mainstream TV stations, radio stations, and newspapers attended the press conference and reported positively on Falun Gong.
